This amazing 4- bedroom, 2- bathroom waterfront home offers the perfect retreat.
Summer months June, (last 2 weeks) July and August rentals run Friday to Friday only.
Pool & Spa are Seasonal **open mid May through Sept only**
Pool and hot tub are **closed Oct - mid May**. We do not have a separate stand alone hot tub.

Conveniently located on the main level are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, both equipped with stand-up showers. The fourth bedroom resides on the lower level.

Your waterfront serenity awaits! This private property boasts both a fixed and a floating dock, accommodating boats up to 21 feet - ask about docking fee. Explore the waters with complimentary kayaks (4) and paddle boards (2), or relax on the peaceful deck extending across the rear of the home.

Dogs allowed 1 with a $150 pet fee. Cats not allowed.

ALL renters must be 28 or older -unless children of the renter.

If you're looking for a party or larger gathering this home is NOT for you.

Situated on the water just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay, this home offers stunning views and abundant wildlife. Savor a cup of coffee or glass of wine as you take in the scenery and watch water skiers and boats glide past. The fully fenced back yard features a seasonal in-ground pool, two patios, umbrellas, and a fire pit, providing ample space for outdoor relaxation and entertainment.

This stunning home features an open floor plan with a gourmet kitchen boasting a large island and marble countertops. Enjoy breathtaking water views from the living area, kitchen, and master bedroom. The luxurious master bathroom showcases custom marble and glass finishes. Downstairs, there is a fully furnished recreation area with a pool table, games, TV for movie watching, and an additional bedroom. All with brand new LVP flooring. The fenced waterfront lawn provides added safety for children and pets. One dog is permitted.

Chesapeake City is just minutes away and offers fantastic indoor and outdoor dining options accessible by boat or car.

*The pool and hot-tub combo is seasonal. We do not heat the pool but will consider doing so in the spring/summer months for a fee based on usage. We do not have a separate hot tub.

This vacation home is within 6 mi (10 km) of Elkton Golf and Batting Center, Union Hospital, and Historical Society of Cecil County. West Meadow Park and Elkton Indoor Tennis are also within 6 mi (10 km).

Historical Society of Cecil County and Cooch's Bridge are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at White Clay Creek State Park and Elk Neck State Park. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at New Castle 100 Archers or Bob Carpenter Center.
Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Family vacations with a toddler can sometimes cause stress when you are staying on the water, but the fence\d yard allowed everyone to thoroughly enjoy the stay at this delightful home. It is large enough to spread out, allowing everyone to have their space when they want, but enough seating int he living areas to enjoy time together as well. The home was clean, the beds comfortable, the views spectacular (there's nothing like watching the sun rise from a kayak!), and the location is just off the beaten path enough to allow you to unwind while still being close to grocery stores and restaurants.. We had a great stay at a great house with a great host!

We had an amazing time! For once the pictures are as good as the property! Communication with owner was great, property was clean and there were tons of memories made. Just an awesome time!

Great Stay!

We lucked into the perfect destination for family coming from NH, SC, and DE for the holidays. As VRBO owners ourselves we tend to be picky, but this spot delivered on all fronts. Highly recommend!

Friends getaway in the perfect location

Exactly as pictured for a comfortable, casual stay with friends to celebrate the end of summer. The set up was easy to toddler proof and the pool, hot tub, and view made it feel luxurious. We were thrilled it felt remote but near all the amenities we'd need. We were already talking about booking again next year.

Beautiful house and location. Two surprises:- main bedroom does not have a door. - We were excited to kayak but the dock was too high to safely get into and out of the kayaks, so we skipped it.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so glad you thought the house and location were beautiful! I am confused about the comment that the master bedroom doesn't have a door. It does have a door that closes fully. When the door is closed it shuts off the master en-suite the bathroom and bedroom as is the case in all en-suites I have seen. What a shame you couldn't get in the kayak from the floating dock, it is so nice out on the water. Our other renters do it all the time, with kayaks and paddle-boards from children to grandparents.

Nice retreat

Beautiful well kept house to relax and enjoy with family. So nice they offered kayaks and stand up paddles as part of the rental. There was a problem with the pool heater and the owner came the very next morning to repair…it was Labor Day Weekend!! Thank you Betti-Lou

Amazing Property

We had an absolutely wonderful time. Betti-lou is communicative and friendly. She has provided anything you could need during your trip. My FIL brought his boat, but with the SUP board and kayaks we barely used it. The neighborhood is welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. I'd love to come back ASAP.

Excellent communicator, beautiful home!

This beautiful vacation home was so nice, everyone felt like they were at home. What I appreciated most was the communication before, during and at check out. Betti Lou explained everything in great detail so there were no surprises. Even when we were there she had a binder not just about the property but activities/points of interest around the area. Overall very pleased, we will be back! thank you!

Perfect stay in Elkton

This was our 3rd stay at this property, and there really isn’t any better in the surrounding area. It’s an excellent location in a quiet neighborhood on the Elk River. There are outstanding views and amenities here. Also, you’re close to great restaurants in North East (try the Forge Southern Comfort) as well as Chesapeake City (Schaeffers Canal House & The Chesapeake Inn are top choices). Also, Jo Jo’s Diner in Chesapeake City for breakfast is very nice. We love this area of Maryland, and this house and location check all the boxes. Betti-Lou is an excellent communicator and the check-in / check-out process is a breeze. Finally, if you have a small dog, this is a perfect fenced in property for your pet to roam. 5-stars for sure, and we hope to be back again soon!

Graduation 2025

My husband and I rented this home based on its proximity to the University of Delaware. It was a short and scenic drive from the school and gave us the respite we needed in between all the graduation weekend festivities. We also hosted a brunch for my daughter, her roomates and the parents and everyone who attended loved where we were. The home was bright, airy and picture perfect for what we needed. Also decepitively larger than we had initially thought. I cannot recommend both this house and the hosts enough. I unknowingly left an item behind and they were so helpful and had it shipped back to me the next day! We have stayed at many home rentals and this home is at the top for best experiences. Our days at "Serenity" were wonderful and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the area!!

She was easy to reach and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The home itself was immaculately clean. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms and the beds were super comfortable. Our older teens enjoyed playing pool, kayaking, and relaxing outdoors. This property is ideally located, offering the best of both worlds—peaceful seclusion and convenient access to local amenities and charming town centers. Highly recommend!
