First off, the downstairs is not air conditioned, did not have a TV or mini fridge as sown on the photo's. It smelled a little musty and water came in under the door when it rain really hard. We booked because we really liked the idea of the downstairs gathering area and were disappointed. The kitchen didn't have any dish towels or a cutting board. The dishwasher door spring is broken so be very careful when you open it! It was ok, but wouldn't stay there again.

Beautiful property

My group had a great time here for scalloping season 2024! It’s a great location and was close to the marina.

Great Place

Very clean,quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen ware. We were there for the whole month of February, a great place to stay.

Family getaway

It was a nice location and loved being on the canal. Enjoyed fishing the canal, seeing the turtles, crabs, one small gator, and even saw some peacocks. Nice and quiet.

The property was disappointing. Would not recommend until Host rectifies some thingsThe canal was murky and was advised not to get in water. Could not launch kayaks effectively without getting in the water.The ice machine in the fridge did not workThe floor was not clean everyone's feet were dirty from walking on floor.The towels need replacing they were close to being rags for garage.The Game Room was very disappointing! No games or A/C.... expected pool table, ping pong, or foosball tables. (what do you expect people to do in that room, if eating have to carry food down the outside stairs, and grill is on top patio)Toilet in guest bath did not flush good.If I could say something good about the place I would but I was very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry the property did not meet your expectations. For clarification, the listing does not advertise the canal as a swimming area. Canal conditions can vary, and guests should always follow local water-safety guidance. We will review the listing to make the kayak-launch setup and water access even clearer for future guests. The downstairs area is intended as a casual, garage-style gathering space with seating, a picnic table, board games, ceiling fans, air-conditioning vents, and a third bathroom. It is not advertised as an arcade with a pool table, ping-pong table, or foosball table. Still, we will review the wording and photographs to ensure the space is represented as clearly as possible. Unfortunately, the refrigerator’s ice maker stopped working during your weekend stay. We communicated that we could not get a repair technician there before your departure, and we apologize for the inconvenience. The main living areas are professionally cleaned after every stay. Based on your comments, we will also improve the cleaning routine for the downstairs painted-concrete floor, replace any worn towels, and have the guest-bath toilet inspected. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to improve the experience for future guests.

Beautiful getaway

Had an amazing time! Clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Nice to sit outside by the water and relax listening to the fish jump and the pecock calls.Great location to visit the springs and the beach. Close to shopping and restaurants also.

Perfect rental; exactly what we needed! Tony was especially helpful, and all that excellent service during two hurricanes! Definitely would recommend this rental!

We contacted VRBO upon arrival. We would not stay at this property. Very dirty and smelled of mold and mildew. Gates were broken so no dog containment. We went to a hotel and requested refund. Not at all like other VRBO properties we have rented.

Family Trip

Family trip and we brought our boat with us, it took a little longer than we realized to get out to the main river from the house. We rented a golf cart from Manatee buggies which made for a lot of fun getting around to the local restaurants. Overall great stay!

Holiday Getaway

Fishing trip with the family. Close to marina. Kayaks for the canal. Large patio room below the living quarters to relax in.

Had a great stay

Overall the stay was good. Check in was easy. The kayaks were not at the home and the coffee maker was full of moldy grounds. We made do without the kayaks so that was ok but we would have used them if there. The cleaning station was great and the home was comfortable and clean.

Best trip to visit our elderly father

We have always stayed in a hotel in Crystal Springs when we came down to visit our father but decided to stay in an air b&b instead. We were worried about the place due to the hurricane that had come through and the house did experience some damage BUT the host was fantastic and the house is an a beautiful location. It is a nature lovers paradise. We saw peacocks and all sorts of wild life each morning and the house is literally steps from the water. This trip ruined me for staying in a hotel so far out from our father. It was wonderful and I will definitely be back!

Not good for boating

The house itself was nice. I assume because of the recent storms, the canal was silted in and not deep enough for us to get a small skiff through that we had rented. We had to drive to the marina everyday. If you don't have a boat and are just kayaking, it would be fine.

Thank you for your review! I'm glad you guys enjoyed. I haven't traveled through the canal since the storms. We actualy had 3 major water events there this past year. You also have to watch the tides, especially durning the winter months because low tide is much lower than in the spring and summer time.

On the water?

Kitchen was decent, laundry was very handy. The key situation was terrible. Get some digital locks! The two kayaks were very good, but the one life jacket was adequate at best. The water on which this was situated was more of a ditch than a creek, and any boat other than a canoe or small Jon boat would have trouble

We had to go buy oil for using frying pan, and no soap provided for showers. Basement really didn’t provide anything, really would be great with ping pong table or something to make the space usable. Not connected to main body of water—I thought we’d be able to use kayaks to get to bigger body of water but it’s just swampy marsh. Very mucky water; really didn’t even want to use kayaks. I paid more for this location thinking we would use kayaks in the water, but you wouldn’t want to do that here. Still neat to see the crab in the water—he was big!Definitely recommend Homassass Springs —great value!! Don’t recommend Three Sister Springs—20 per person just to walk trail and see pretty pond with manatees, but same thing at Homosassa Springs with so much more to see for about 1/3 of the price and only 30 minutes apart.

Nice property on the water!

Our stay was great with everything very clean! The bottom floor is a completely separate lock off area with its own bathroom and shower and only connects to the upstairs bedrooms by stairs outside. Ground floor used to be just open parking / garage type area but has been enclosed and will flood with the Florida storms. It looks like about 2 feet of water was inside the ground floor for Hurricane Debbie just before our stay based on water marks on house and doors. Doesn’t affect your living area and did not hinder our stay other than a little musty smell downstairs. Great location with full access to homosassa springs and river via about a 20 minute ride on the back canals. We got our 24 foot pontoon boat right up to the house with no problems. Would definitely stay here again!

Good But Not Great

They still use keys for entering property, when you have multiple people with multiple cars and time frames doing things, a code would be the easiest form of entry, easy to change after each rental also. Too many keys. No way to get from upstairs to downstairs in the rain without getting soaked. Some kind of cover necessary. The ice maker was making ice but the mechanism for dispensing was broken. I contacted the host immediately but have yet to hear anything. We had ice so no big deal, but no communication?? The dishwasher has been 'installed' without being anchored in. Opened it up, pulled out shelf and it tipped over onto my foot, that was ridiculous and dangerous. The kitchen faucet has not been caulked down, it turns around and around. Good location for what we were there for, could be an excellent property if things were attended to properly.
