Totally 100% off grid! Solar power electric, pot belly wood burning fire stove, porch overlooking the mountain! Outhouse! Trails everywhere! Bath house about 100 yards down the mountain with hot showers! No TV, wifi available at the Ol Bus Porch (common area), come to enjoy the outdoors! This is brand new and oh so boho! Comfortable and affordable this East Tennessee All Seasons Cabin can be enjoyed all year long! Close to Beech Mountain, Watauga Lake, Roan Mountain, Doe Mountain, ski resorts and winery's. Take a hike up the trail and enjoy the stars! Come see for yourself! There is no kitchen, no fridge, no microwave. This is a cabin in the woods! Bring a cooler to keep your drinks and sandwich meats cold, bring a steak and throw it on the charcoal grill on the porch. We are OFF GRID! If you are traveling with a low clearance vehicle park in front of the shed or the big cabin and walk about 25 steps to the top. If you are traveling in a truck or jeep or SUV driving up to the top is easy. Coming in at night is a bit tricky as there are no street lights so please plan accordingly. This cabin is surrounded by nature. The outhouse is right outside the door and has biodegradable toilet camping bags. It's roughing it in luxury.

Kathi was awesome! Very kind. Believe her when she says you will have no signal. There will be no signal. Everything was beautiful! Be careful driving up to Love Shack the drive way is pretty steep. We will probably plan for another trip in the future. Thank you so much!

Further away from the nearest town than I understood. Outdoor shower was hot and enjoyable even with the understandable low water pressure. Cabin was simple and really cool. Only suggestion there would be to get some new pillow coverings. The old tassle/fringe pillow cases just don't seem like something that would clean well. Yes I would stay there again.

Unable to access the property due to dirt road grade with zero gravel. Promised WiFi was unaccessible. Zero cell signal and was unable to resolve issues. Requesting refund. We drove through the night back home rather than stay where we felt unsafe

If guests read the description and the check in instructions thos would have never happened. Prior to a guest checking in they are given precise information and we tell every guest to screen shot the directions and check in instructions as there is zero service around the mountain until you log into the wifi. If this guest would have followed the instructions this wouldn't have been a problem. We also specifically tell guests about the drive up and suggest they park in front of the big cabin if they drive a low profile vehicle. This is a cabin in the woods in the mountains. We also saw the guest make it perfectly fine to the cabin and then drive down so for them to say they couldn't access it isn't true.

Cute little stay up in the mountains, not much connection, but that was fine for me and my girlfriend, the goats were a blast and have a great personality. The owner and the owner's son were very responsive and kind. Has a great view of the mountains and a wonderful drive up there.

We were well informed with instructions on how to find it and we enjoyed our stay. It was cute and cozy . We basically were only there in the evening and to sleep but it is in a great area as long as you don’t mind being off grid!
Beware of this beast!! It definitely puts out heat! I’m a sleep cold girl so we had to open the door a few times!! It made my husband happy though!!

The drive up to the cabin definitely required 4WD. The views and the quiet are breathtaking and refreshing. The inside is cozy and romantic. Lounging on the deck helps to melt away the week's stress and rejuvenate your soul.

Magical retreat!

We fell in love with this little gem tucked into the side of a mountain. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the property, watching the sunrise and set, and the peacefulness of just being. You won't be disappointed!

The cutest furry 4-legged creature came over & greeted us when we got there. It was so relaxing! The shower was hot… there were games for us to play. We hiked a bit. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!We just had to go buy charcoal, lighter fluid and firewood. Also glad I brought my travel fan.

Good get away space

This cabin was really cute. It was perfect for a getaway with my mom. It’s super close to Boone and the only thing we had to complain about was the lack of service. We couldn’t let our family know we made it. I think giving a WiFi option would make this place so much better.

Hi Page! Thanks for your feedback. We actually put a public porch down by the A-frame cabin which has wifi available for all guests to use. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that. You could have also just walked down to the big cabin and my frind Daniel would have put you on ours. Thanks so much for staying with us. I hope the lack of wifi wasn't a huge problem for you.

Easy communication with host. Must have actual 4x4 if you want to park outside of cabin. Bring everything you would need as if you were tent camping, just minus the tent.

You are unplugged!

Love the place. Was exactly as advertised. Maybe a bit better… pictures can only ‘say’ so much. In July, the sunset’s hues last well after the sun itself actually goes below the mountains. Was exactly what we were looking for. You are unplugged for sure.

I've been managing and hosting vacation rentals for a long time. I bought this property a piece at a time and now own the entire mountain. We started with one cabin and have added so many adorable cabins and glamping sites and are still building up here. We are converting an old school bus into a camp office and another into a unique stay! Always a project going on at Buckridgemountainresort .com Come check us out! Stay awhile! We love our guests and hope we've made this an enjoyable destination!

Once you turn off of DyeLeaf onto JD Guinn Lane you are in paradise!! We own the entire place as far up as you can see. I've hiked up just about all sides for hours and the creeks and streams are beyond beautiful. Just the sounds of nature are amazing. The whippoorwill's the owls, the crickets the frogs...look up and the stars at night are unmatched as there is no street lighting anywhere.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

This property has trails everywhere. You can pack a lunch and hike for hours up the mountain. There is a creek that runs alongside the property and during rainy season it's so beautiful. We are close to Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Doe Mountain, Watauga Lake and winerys everywhere. Minutes from Sugar Hollow Retreat. We have over 7 cabins and a unique bath/shower house. There is primitive camping areas anywhere you choose. Year round fun!
