Overlooking a forested ravine with a small fenced-in pasture area sits Elwood Loft.

This quaint bunkhouse was built with an attached 3-stall horse stable and ample trailer parking; your horses need a vacation, too!

Whether or not you bring your riding companions, our tastefully decorated Elwood Loft features a king bed in the lofted area above the kitchen, a pull-out queen sleeper sofa in the living area, and one full bathroom (shower only) to comfortably house up to 4 guests.

Elwood Loft does not have WiFi.

Enjoy the simpler things in life by relaxing on the decking/seating to watch your horses graze in the fenced-in turnout area, soak in the 4-person hot tub, enjoy conversation around the fire pit, cookout on the gas grill, watch satellite tv/movies, or doze in front of the gas stove fireplace.

This home is fully furnished and complete with a fully-stocked kitchen for your every need. Base rates are for 2 guests. We can accommodate up to 4 guests for additional charges. Minimum booking age to rent: 21 years.

We have a friendly outdoor barn kitty on site who may come say hello. However, other than your own horses; no other pets are permitted. Please bring horse bedding (shavings) to refresh the stalls as you leave. Each stall has a light/fan/hay rack and window. All out-of-state horses must have a current, verifiable health certificate.

Come and enjoy a restful and relaxing stay off the grid in our luxurious cabin situated on 70 acres - just 5 miles from US 33.

Elwood Loft may require a $500 security deposit. This is due in check form: personal, money order, or cashiers check and is cashed/deposited 30 days prior to arrival. Your new check is refunded in full within 7 days of checkout provided:

1) Everything is left in good working order

3) Checkout instructions have been completed

Wonderful place to stay with horses!

I enjoyed staying here with horses, as it gave them a safe place to stretch their legs after a long trailer ride, safe stalls with fans while we explored without horses (lots of hiking, fishing), and only 28 minutes from the day use parking at Hocking Hills! Wonderful, easy to talk to people run this cabin and gave a peace of mind while booking, and followed through with a wonderful experience stay! We will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are back to this area.

The Elwood Loft is so cozy and we felt tucked away in a quiet little oasis. We had everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen and plenty of linens. The loft has plenty of room and even had a cozy reading nook with a view of the grounds. It was close to all the trails and antiques malls we love. We highly recommend.

Elwood Loft was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. It was incredibly clean, communication was great, very cozy and relaxing. Would highly recommend and hope to come back for another visit in the future.

This was a perfect get-away for a long weekend. Close to all main attractions and parks. There is no Wi-Fi and depending on your cell phone carrier, you may or may not have good signal. Very quite and off the grid. The best part of our visit was getting acquainted with Maisy. Another part of the description we missed but fortunately we love cats. Maisy kept us entertained with her morning hellos and whenever we came and went from the cabin. She loved receiving treats and food which are there for yours and her enjoyment. We definitely would consider staying again at the Elwood Loft & Barn.

Hocking Hills is our favorite place in Ohio to ride and vacation with our horses.

Excellent facility with cabin and stalls for horses. One of the few cabins in Hocking Hills with this availability. Quiet and comfortable for everyone.

Such a great stay at this cabin. Great communication on arriving and checking in. The cabin had everything we needed for an extended weekend. The hot tub was wonderful after road trips and hiking trails. When a big snowstorm hit, they sent advisory texts, pushed back our checkout time, and plowed the road in the morning. Would come back again.

The loft is perfect. It’s decorated so nice and it has a warm cozy feel. It also comes with a cat so it felt extra homey for us. All of the amenities are wonderful, especially the hot tub after a full day of hiking! We cannot wait to come back. Elwood made our anniversary trip extra special.

We had a beautiful stay at Ellwood Lofts. The place is cozy and clean. Well decorated and had all of the amenities we needed and more. One thing in particular, the bed was super comfortable. We also very much enjoyed the company of Maisy the barn kitty!

From the moment we walked in, this cabin gave me all the Hallmark Christmas movie feels!!! It was the perfect romantic getaway for me and my husband to celebrate our 21st Anniversary! We were able to relax and “unplug” for the weekend. It was just what we needed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! We will definitely be going back!

Very nice property. Beautifully remote and easy check in/out process. The cabin had most amenities you could need for a short stay. No internet service or cellular service is nice for some quiet time, but makes it hard if you want to check weather or route any trips with your phone maps/gps. The hot tub was nice and clean. The cat, Maisy, greeted us after we parked and led me right to the front door. She was adorable and super sweet, but sadly we did not see her again for the remainder of our 4 days. There’s allegedly housekeepers that come in before and after each guest. The guests are in charge of cleaning up and washing dishes used. However when we arrived, there was a dirty bowl in the microwave with food in it that had me almost throw up when cleaning the microwave. Some dishes were still dirty and needed washed before we used them. The kitchen counter needed wiped, and there was dead bugs on floors and counters. Some lights didn’t even have bulbs in them (which they did have on hand for us to replace). The property and owners get a good rating but the housekeeping is what lowered my rating. The housekeeper should be checking everything before people arrive. I would definitely stay here again but would definitely be checking some things upon arrival. There is a oil well pump jack about 100-200 feet away that turned on late at night time, which we did not hear in the cabin, but if outside or in the hot tub, was loud and eerie, just fyi for future guests.

Warm and cozy!

Our stay was excellent, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and calming get away. The hot tub was nice at night under a sky full of stars and the cabin was very comfortable and clean!

Beautiful property! Only 15-20 mins to food, shopping and activities. Deer spotted up close on property! Very relaxing stay.

We built this loft attached to our stable so that our guests can bring their hoofed companions along with them. Lots of bridle trails around Wayne National Forest allows for ease and simplicity trailering in/out of the region.

The stable has 3 stalls that feature fans, lights, hay racks, and windows. We also have a nice fenced-in pasture/turn out area so you can enjoy relaxing on the deck, soaking in the hot tub, or enjoying an al fresco dinner while the horses graze.

Please bring horse bedding (shavings) to refresh the stalls as you leave.
