Quaint!

We were here visiting family with two littles and the space was great. Enough room for kids to play, we cooked meals in the house, and the cleanliness was great! Would stay again.

Family visit

The property was a great place to stay. We were down visiting our Marine. We enjoyed being close to the base, but also the quietness of the community. The house was just as advertised, very clean and spacious enough for us to have a great family visit.

This rental was equipped with everything and had that “home” feeling. This is exactly what we were looking for.

We will be back!

We had an amazing stay! The house is perfect, clean, and right by so much great stuff to do. The hosts were communicative and very sweet! It was my husbands birthday and they had left a car and a box of really nice cookies for us. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was 10/10 for us!

BFF Getaway

This was a short weekend trip for two longtime best friends. Our goal was to relax and catch up. Mariposa was perfect! The house is so cute and cozy and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking . The sheets and towels provided were quality and the house was perfectly clean. The neighborhood is nice and perfect for a walk. Definitely a place to revisit and hopefully stay longer. Thanks for sharing your place!

We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa for a long Labor Day Weekend. Home was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the gated neighborhood was fantastic and felt very safe. It was also conveniently located just a few minutes from the island. The host was super responsive and friendly when I had a few questions. We would definitely rent this place again in the future! The only things we really didn't like was the fact there is no lighting at all in the back of the house. There was a motion light at the bottom of the back stairs but it never worked. There was no light at all in the back. A flood light somewhere back there would be super helpful, but that was a very minor inconvenience compared to everything else and how great it was overall! Also, the main bathroom has a sliding door that does not lock and has a huge gap which can be a small problem if you like privacy. Fixing the gap and adding a lock, or even just adding a lock for the feeling of a little bit more privacy should definitely be considered. But again, it was a very minor inconvenience comparatively. I'm still giving a full 5 stars in every category and only mentioning the two small issues we had as something the property owners may want to consider looking into in the future. The cleanliness, the beautiful home, the neighborhood, and the proximity to the island make this a property I would highly recommend considering for your stay in Sneads Ferry/Topsail. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Sallie and fam!

Host was very communicative from booking to check out. Our reason for coming to the area was to visit with a family member on hospice, so having an easy process made things a lot smoother for us. House needs some minor updates, but overall really nice place to stay. Pros: beds are some of the best we've slept on for a rental, very nice cookware, house is in a very nice area, check-out process the best I've ever experienced. Cons: no measuring spoons-odd since almost every other cooking item was available, hole in bathroom wall, cabinets were starting to lose paint/paper lining... normally not a big deal for me, but I didn't want to be blamed for it, so I had to take pictures of everything that was chipped or cracked, or broken which leads to my biggest con: after booking and being given total price, I was asked to either pay an insurance cost for damages which was an additional 59 or pay a refundable 1500 deposit. Considering this, I would have expected, along with the nightly fee, that the property would have been in slightly better condition. My total cost was almost 800 for 2 nights.

We absolutely loved our stay here.From the moment we walked in, it felt clean, cozy, and so welcoming. Everything was exactly as pictured, and the home had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. The location was perfect, and it made our beach vacation so relaxing.Our host was amazing friendly, quick to respond, and made sure everything went smoothly. You can really tell they care about their guests and want everyone to have a great experience.We made so many great memories here and were honestly sad to leave. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and stress free beach getaway. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
