Being right along the river, mosquitoes can definitely be more noticeable at certain times of the year. I do provide bug spray for guests and encourage everyone to come prepared so they can make the most of the beautiful outdoor spaces. The house was clean. Lots of open space. The kitchen was very well equipped. Great place to have a sibling yearly get-together. Hope to do it again next year. It is a beautiful area. The host is very helpful, no problem communicating with her.

We loved the fenced in yard and the red muskoka chairs down by the water. The swimming was better than expected and we did a lot of paddling up and down the river. Our 11 year old daughter loved it as did my 89 year old parents!

Kylie was wonderful to deal with, she was very responsive. The property and home was wonderful. We had six guests celebrating a milestone birthday and had a wonderful stay. The wildlife on the river was amazing to watch. Definitely would recommend this cottage.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay in this modern, renovated home. Of particular note is the well appointed kitchen. The river setting is scenic and relaxing and amenities such as a kayak and the fire pit seating were truly appreciated. However, the owners should consider removing some of the monitoring technology on the property. In closing, we would reiterate that our long weekend at the Marble Rock Retreat was wonderful!

The kitchen was well setup to cook meals with proper pots, utensils and plates for 8 people. This was important for us because we cooked all our meals in a diverse group. The host was easy to work with and they had the info organized for easy check-in. The rooms were setup as two on the ground floor and two in the lower floor. This was not as obvious to me when I read the listing but may be helpful to others planning. The location is in a nice quiet area (well there is a rooster and some vocal ducks next door) but only about 10-15 mins from downtown Gan.

Riverside Serenity

A nice cottage like home

The location is very good, and the owner provides everything you need in the cottage, it give us the feeling of being at home. Bring your food and drinks, you will have a nice stay there.

Great get away

Great location, everyone loved the house and the grounds. There were 6 of us and 3 seniors so layout with bedrooms on main level was a bonus. We enjoyed seeing 3 Canadian Geese families sharing the yard. Would be a lovely place to stay in the warmer months to enjoy the water.

It is a beautiful home in a great location close to everything. Very peaceful on the river. It provided all comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen. The beds and couches were very comfortable. There was nothing that we missed during our stay. Would definitely return should I find myself back in Gananoque.

The kitchen was well stocked. The home was clean and had everything you needed. Although we did not bring pets, it was set up for furbabies. The outdoor set up was great! We relaxed and had some good laughs.

The property is as advertised, actually that is not true, it is better.We were a party of 10 adults ranging in age from 25 to 89, with a variety of requirements and this property exceeded all our needs.

Comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked, extra blankets. River view was great. Only about 10 minutes into town. Host has an online welcome guide that works. Garbage requirements upon checkout difficult to interpret and restrictive so we took recycling home with us rather than risk host charging us.

Excellent stay, recommended

The cottage is super well equipped. My family and I are used to bringing kitchen staples with us (like sugar, oil, condiments, etc.) but to our surprise everything was there ready for use. The whole place was very clean (incl. Linens). I would visit again and recommend. Location is great, close drive to hiking trails, brewery and Gananoque town but secluded enough that we were able to relax in front of the river. Big thank you to Kylie our host who was super responsive and answered all my questions in no time.
