Great location… but for older ladies figuring everything out was very time consuming. Keys for access at the beginning could be easier. Learning bus usage new to us…ugh. Wish it was better access to a sandy beach. Garbage situation very different. Different garbage out 6 days a week. So everyday but Sunday you take something to the street. Glass to the street 2 times a month. We were there for a month and struggled with remembering. Power switches… trying to remember to constantly turn each plug in off every time we were done. Remember to turn hot water tank on BEFORE you get in the shower.Jo was a wonderful hostess. Responses from her were always quick.

Hello Mona Thanks for your wonderful review. It was a pleasure meeting you. For the Sandy Beach which is Balluta Bay it was 8-10 minutes walk from the apartment. For elderly people it may take a bit longer walk to arrive. But you can take the bus which is near the apartment and take you to the beach. Our garbage system is different the way we take it out. Yes we need to take it out in different bags in different days, recycling bag, organic bag black bag. and glass. We need to follow the goverment rules. Hot water is with solar system. So if there will be sun to heat it up you need to switch it on the days where there is no sun. Hope to see you another time. Kind Regards Jo

Everything was good

The apartment is in a very comfortable and quiet area. It’s even better live than in the photos: very spacious, bright and, above all, very clean. The owner immediately made herself very helpful, giving us the opportunity to contact her for any eventuality. It was a great stay, highly recommended.

Great locationWalking to bays, supermarkets(Lidl), local deli right below well stocked, morning and afternoon terraces, partial seaview.Property needs refreshing generally, hob and hot water need attention but not a major issue.Property manager/owner honest with electricity / water bills and rebate.

Review apartment # 4 in Sliema

Very beautiful apartment for 5 + 1 space on the comfortable couch. Good beds and enough storage space for your clothes. Fully equipped kitchen and very easy to use. Clean and beautiful bathroom with heater and washing machine. Satellite TV and wireless internet, many channels and easy to use. Supermarket is very close by and Paceville is just 15 minutes walk. Friendly owners and always prepared to help when you have questions. The apartment is definitely worth staying because you have everything in range that you need, supermarket, pubs, dancings, beach, bus stop, ...

Sliema Penthouse

We chose this penthouse apartment specifically for the location and the outdoor areas and were not disappointed. The location is ideal, close to the promenades, shops, , buses and restaurants but in a lovely quiet residential area when you need to relax and chill ! The two terraces are ideal for dining and sunbathing on the days you are not busy exploring this fascinating island. The apartment is clean, well equipped, comfortable and very spacious - exactly 'as described'. Josephine is not only an excellent host, but also an excellent historian and tour guide and gave us loads of good advice on everything to do with Malta which enhanced our visit. The communication since we made the booking and during our stay was excellent and she even arranged the airport transfer for us - which I would highly recommend. When we do return to Malta, this is where we will be staying - highly recommended.

Très sympathique

Nous avons séjourné 6 jours dans cet appartement très agréable avec 2 terrasses. Le quartier est calme et pas très loin des bus (10 mn à pied). Les contacts avec le propriétaire ont été simples et efficaces. Nous recommandons.

Clean, private balconies, close to everything!

My roommate and I stayed here while studying abroad. It is very clean, and everything you need is there. Josephine even provides adapters and maps. The kitchen is fully stocked with all tools you need to be able to cook. Very convenient clothes washer and private balcony for hanging clothes. Also, the apartment is in quiet area, in the middle of Sliema, so you can either walk 10-15 minutes to the Sliema Boardwalk/Ferries, or walk 10-15 minutes in the opposite direction to get to St. Julian's area where there are lots of restaurants and pool clubs. I recommend UBistro. The Flat is also a couple blocks from police station, markets, and bus stop; which was convenient. The bus stop takes many routes, but will take you to Valletta easily, as my roommate and I took the bus everyday to Valletta to class. Valletta is also very nice. Josephine was very helpful and would come to the apartment if we needed anything, almost always answered calls, always returned missed calls. We stayed for a month, and we are glad we had the apartment we did, considering some of our classmates had terrible experiences with their living situation. The ONLY negative is that the internet has a data limit, which made it difficut to Skype/videochat with family back in the States. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay, very spacious and clean! Thanks for staying in one of our 3 apartments in Sliema. We have 3 apartments in the same block which can sleep up to 15/18 persons. The apartments are in the centre of Sliema which are reachable to English Schools, to the beach, Sliema promenade and St Julian's within minutes by walk.
