Things to Know

Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Due to HOA regulations, all guests (even infants) count towards occupancy regardless of age.
Diamond Beach Resort charges an additional fee for the resort amenities, which varies by season and length of stay. This fee is charged as part of your reservation at the time of booking.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We had a great time. The views were stunning. We went during colder months and I wish the outdoor pool was heated. The hot water took a long time to get warm in the room. The condo was well kept and comfortable. Everything was clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo! The balcony was amazing — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view — and the AC worked great, which made the whole place very comfortable. There were a few small downsides: the shower did have some mold, and a few spots in the living room could have been cleaned a bit better. But overall, it was a great stay and we’d happily come back.

Pool was amazing! Enjoyed the lazy river! Pool bar was great! Beautiful area and grounds were amazing. Condo was dirty! Dirty dishes put away in cabinet. Hair in bathtub. Couch was stained and rug in living room looked like it has never been cleaned. Patio had food left on table. Just not clean al all!

Diamond beach service was not great

All these rules about no kayaks in the back of trucks (which the San Luis Hotel & Spa allows!!) and more make you think this is an exclusive type resort but nope, the staff jumps in front of guests to get off the elevators; we weren’t given the required parking permit upon checkin, even after I specifically asked if my car was ok where it was and the bored unfriendly kid said it was. Broken pool entrance all Saturday, which was super frustrating considering they only give two fobs for a 3 bedroom rental! Roaches in the hallway and on the steps beside the pool, a mosquito haven swamp for a volleyball pit, gnats all in the pool in which we asked for help and an hour later moved to a different area, and tried to go to the game room while it was raining but the air conditioner was broken so stayed for the kids but sweat to death.

Beach Vacation

Beautiful property, couldn't ask for any more amenities. Quiet beach, beautiful ocean view. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the public beach, but close enough for easy access to restaurants and shopping. Will stay there again when we visit Galveston.

First stay at Diamond Beach Condos

Our stay was great! The condo is in a quiet part of the Island. Parking was convenient during this early March trip. The carts available for guests to utilize help tremendously! There were ample bath towels supplied. The mini shampoo/conditioner provided don't go very far. It would be nice if additional ones were provided to avoid the need of additional toiletries when packing. The primary bedroom has an uber sensitive smoke alarm. Great safety feature, but doesn't allow for hot showers beyond 5 minutes. Secondary bedrooms do not have tv's. I missed this in the photos. If you're traveling with anyone who enjoys falling asleep with the tv on, note that only the living room and primary room have a tv available. Overall, very nice unit, great views, in a clean and beautiful condominium property.

Perfect for families!

We had a wonderful vacation staying here. The kids loved the bunk beds and we all enjoyed all of the amenities - multiple pools, lazy river, and the cinema, game room, and children's play room. The unit was very clean. Something to note is that there's a coffee maker but no coffee was provided, so we bought some keurig pods at the store. I later found out that they offer coffee in the lobby so just a heads up! The balcony was my favorite part with a beautiful view of the ocean. We also really appreciated being able to walk to the beach and not have to drive. I would love to stay at this location next time we visit Galveston!

Lovely condo

We really enjoyed the condo and all of its amenities. I would definitely come back. The lazy river was fantastic. The pool was clean. Arcade room was also a lot of fun. My only "complaint" is that grills were available to be used for the public without having to reserve a cabana but one day, the grills were taken away for possible cleaning. I called the number that was part of the app and the host seemed a little taken aback that I was able to get ahold of him and seemed confused that grills were even part of the amenities based on my booking. Additionally the app was not useful and I would not recommend downloading it even though you get emails saying to download the app before your stay.

Relaxing Stay at Pelican Oasis.

The view and patio were great. The condo amenities are excellent. Loved the lazy river, the pools, the sand volley ball, the game room and the beach access without having to cross the street.

Cozy, Clean, Spacious Condo

We loved our stay in this condo at Diamond Beach Condominiums. The condo was immaculately clean with cozy living room furniture and comfortable beds. There was plenty of room for our group of 5 adults to spread out. We didn't use the balcony much due to the mosquitos, but there is a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean beyond, with cozy outdoor furniture. We enjoyed the view from the full length windows that stretch across the kitchen and living room. The large TV was perfect for watching college football games. We enjoyed all the amenities at the resort, especially the arcade room and private gated access to the beach. The condo is located in a safe location away from the crowds. Was nice and quiet. Next time we're in Galveston I'd want to stay here again.

Loved it❗️

My family truly enjoyed staying at this very nice condo. It has everything we needed and more. The AC worked great. The outdoor patio was an added bonus facing the ocean. We had so much fun on the lazy river and the indoor pool. We definitely will be renting the Pelican Oasis again. Because of the rainy weather during our Galveston stay, we were happy this resort had so many indoor amenities. We give it two thumbs up with a big ten on the ratings.

Wonderful accommodations!

Great place for our big family to visit. Enough room to spread out, but still very comfy. The place was back up and running from Beryl. I was glad to see them quickly get the most of the outside amenities back.

Everything We Were Looking For

The place was lovely. We enjoyed our stay immensely. ​​ ​​The apartment was spacious and larger than the listing photos made it look. Perhaps the high ceilings make it feel smaller in pictures. We had 4 adults and 2 small children and did not feel cramped. ​​ ​​Everything was quite clean when we arrived and we enjoyed the decor. The view of the ocean is wonderful. ​​ ​​The building was well-built and well-managed. Between family-friendly quiet hours and solid construction, we did not hear other tenants or the pool (once the door was closed). ​​ ​​Some reviews for other units in the building mention limited hot water. We seemed to be able to get hot water by just letting the shower run for a few minutes first. The porch door was too heavy for kids to open alone, but with a toddler who likes to climb, that wasn’t necessarily bad. ​​ ​​The location was good too. It was on a quiet corner of the island, so we had some space from the crowds, but it was still an easy drive down the Seawall to downtown, the pier, and the museums we wanted to visit. The beach was just around the corner from the lazy river. ​​ ​​Overall it was exactly what we were looking for and we would be happy to come back next time we are in Galveston.
