NEIGHBORHOOD: Monumental Escape is perfectly positioned near everything you want to see in Washington, DC. We are a 5 minute walk to H Street which is filled with shops, book stores, bars, Michelin star restaurants [Daru, Marketto, Bronze, Toki Underground, Cane, Laos in Town], a theatre, and much more. We are a 15 minute walk to Union Market is has 2 food halls (1 - every cuisine possible named Union Market; 2 - latin food hall named La Cosecha), Michelin star restaurants [El Cielo, Masseria], boutique shops, Trader Joes, and much more. We also have a farmers markets near by: 1) Saturday is the H Street Farmers Market [5 minute walk] and 2) Sunday is across the street. There is a turf field, community center, and play ground a half a block from the house. Also, we are a few blocks away from Gallaudet University [university for individuals who are deaf or have hearing impairments]. Some of our local restaurants are also deaf owned at operated, including our Starbucks! Don`t fret, if you don`t know ASL you`ll be just fine.

TRANSPORTATION: This home allows you to use your vehicle or you can use the free H Street Trolley [5-7 min walk] to connect to Union Station [Amtrak, metro]. There is a bus stop across the street from the house too.
