Summer Lake / Ski House at Serene Lakes
Rest, relax, and play in this new construction modern alpine 4 bedroom, 3 bath mountain home. Every season is filled with activities, as you are surrounded by world class downhill skiing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, kayaking, and more.
The 3 story house can accommodate up to 8 guests and is filled with natural light, has a chef's kitchen, home theater, radiant floor heat, a gas fireplace, a 2-car garage, and an outdoor gas grill on an expansive deck.
The space
This is a beautiful property among the trees with nearby lake access.
The ground floor includes a 2 car garage with several toys (canoe, 2 inflatable SUP boards, inflatable kayak, and ping pong table). The ground entry includes a mudroom for shoes, coats, or beach towels. There's also a den/game room with two queen sofa/sleeper beds, a foosball table, laundry and half bath.
The second floor is the main open living level, with living, dining, and kitchen areas that open to a deck with filtered lake views. The living area has a drop down projector screen for movie nights, as well as a gas fireplace. The built-in cabinets are filled with games and puzzles. There is also a pull-out Murphy bed. The chef's kitchen is fully stocked for creating amazing meals!
The third floor opens with a TV/reading/electric piano lounge surrounded by four large bedrooms and a large bath with two sinks, a tub-shower, and a separate walk-in shower. Three of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds, with one bedroom having 2 single beds.
Note that there are a total of 3 toilets and 3 showers in the house. The configuration is 2 separate showers on the 3rd floor (one with a tub) and a shower on the 2nd floor. There is one toilet per floor.
High-speed internet is included. Level 2 EV charging available (NEMA 14-50 outlet).
Guest access
For boating, there's a dock entrance less than a minute walk away, at the end of our street. The 2nd floor house deck faces this lake entrance.
Serene Lake SLPOA private beach for swimming is a 5 minute bike or car ride away. You may use our membership pass.
For mountain biking, you'll find trails directly from the house.
The Royal Gorge lodge is a 4 minute drive from the house. If you already have a membership, there are cross-country ski trails skiable from the house.
For downhill skiing, Soda Springs Mountain Resort is a 5 minute drive. Sugar Bowl's Village Gondola Parking is a 9 minute drive. Northstar California Resort is a 30 minute drive, depending on road conditions.
Downtown Truckee is a 20 minute drive.
Kings Beach at Lake Tahoe is a 35 minute drive.
Guests have full access to the house during their rental. Please be respectful of our beautiful home, leaving shoes in the mud room.

Living in the mountains means you are among the wildlife! Please make sure all trash is placed in the "bear bin" in the driveway and that the door latches after use.
