Great condo, very clean, and just enough room for the 3 of us! Location on the island itself is great. The walk from the building to the beach is a little further than anticipated, just FYI if you have little ones or people with mobility issues in your party. Host communicated very quickly, and check-in/out was smooth. Would definitely recommend, and would stay again!

Ship watch Condo #113

The condo that we rented was really nice and cozy! The beds were nice and soft and the couch was amazing as well. We enjoyed nights out on the little balcony talking or playing cards the pool was nice and it wasn’t a bad little nature walk down to the beach! I would so recommend people to try out the ship watch condo it’s really cool and amazing.

Girls Weekend, Island Hopping from Hilton Head Island 🏝. Just as described bedding was amazing! The things we forgot, the host already thought about :-) Simple Suggestion...Larger garbage bags please.

Hi Nathalie, thanks for the great feedback. We have been thinking the same thing....we are bringing a larger trash can when we stay this weekend to minimize the need for guests to take out the garbage for future stays. We're glad you had such a great time! - The Homeowners

Enjoyed our stay

Place was decorated nicely, especially liked the furniture placement. Kings size bed is nice to have in main bedroom, but it was much too soft for my back. Ended up sleeping in the other bedroom which had a much firmer mattress. Nice large Tv with netflix. Pool water was much cleaner and clearer this year.

Nice stay

Great location and nicely updated . However, the condo could use a deep clean . The floors were still dirty upon arrival with food on the kitchen floors . All of the walls needs to be wiped down and curtains / shower curtains could use a wash . Great location and easy access to beach. Could just have been cleaner

Secret piece of Heaven

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. Many more pros than cons, so I’ll list some of each! Pros: very clean, starter supplies PLUS extra pantry supplies, very clean and comfortable furniture in all rooms (including living room and dining room), very quiet (here during Spring Break and basically no noises anywhere!), nice appliances, loved the new washer/dryer, nicely decorated, easy check-in and check-out, great little binder with info Cons: Could use a good scrubbing on the floor closet tracks in the master bathroom, mildew on the shower liner (it happens!), and screen and sliding door to balcony was a little hard to maneuver. This wasn’t really a problem for us because it prevented our 1 year old from opening it. Would definitely love to come back here. Thank you!

St Simon’s condo

Overall, our stay was wonderful. Loved the condo and the amenities. Did not get to enjoy the beach very much however. It was quite a trek from the condo. Much further than was expected. Because of this we spent most of the time at the pool. There was also construction going on the entire week at the property. They would start early in the morning so we had to buy earplugs so the kids could sleep. I couldn’t let my daughter and her friend (15 and 16) walk alone on the property because the workers made them feel uncomfortable. None of this is a knock on the property as it was great. We really loved the calm and laid back atmosphere overall. We loved the island and all the great restaurants and food options. We will definitely return to the area in the future.

NO phone number for help!!

Our code would not unlock door to our unit. No phone number to help us. No manger on property. We ended up finding a handy man to help us. It then took 1 hour in heat of 100 to get in our unit. The owner was very nice and helpful but if we had had a phone number. It would have been so much easier. Will never go through an online reservation again. I will go through local realtors

Hi Patricia, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We were surprised to hear your feedback as we thought the matter was resolved. Unfortunately, our cleaning crew, for the first time locked the bottom lock, causing the issue preventing you from making access. We're sorry this happened during your stay. The issue has been addressed and resolved so that future guests do not share the same experience. We provide our guests with an email address should they have any issues or concerns during their stay so that we can address them promptly. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

The instructions were comprehensive and arrival went smooth. It is a bit of a hike to the beach and if it rains it is more difficult. The condo was clean but like most it lacked some essentials like a basic cleaning spray. The salt and pepper (I don't expect more) were not new and new costs ver little. Cooking pans were limited but we made do. This condo is comfortable for 2 adults and maybe 1-2 children, anymore and it would be a bit small. The beach towels were good, as were the beach chairs (4 were provided), but no umbrellas?!? There was a small shelter provided and if you had small children it would be useful. Since we were a Father/Son adult trip not so much. Anytime we contacted the manager support the response was friendly and prompt. ait seems most, if not all of the condos on St Simon are some distance from the beach and many had bodies of water blocking access to the beach, a hike but no pond in the way from this condo. Overall, a very good experience.

March Stay

We had a nice time on the island but the accommodations did not live up to their billing. At the time we arrived, the security gate was not working and the property manager on-site did not answer the phone. In fact, voicemail was indicated as filled. Problem was resolved fairly quickly but set the tone for a fair but not great experience. Two things stood out to us: the pictures of the property give the impression that it's a fairly large two bedroom unit. It's actually quite small. Second, we enjoy television at night but could not watch anything on the main TV because it wasn't a smart TV and the system in place was incomprehensible to maneuver. Suggest either changing the TV or the Infintiy System being used. Other small annoyances were not that big a deal. We would not stay here again. The cost was quite high and given the accommodations, definitely not worth it.

Barr, we're sorry for the few issues you encountered at this condo and we value your feedback as we continue to improve this listing. We hope that the owners' responsiveness and communication helped ease some of these inconveniences. The listing description includes the square footage, however, we apologize if the size of the condo caught you off guard. The homeowners are going to add more information in the house manual about how to operate a Roku stick for the TVs- not provided but for guests who bring their own - so that future guests will be able to easily access this entertainment. As is evidenced by the many great reviews, these owners are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we feel confident that future guests will be delighted! Best, the Evolve Team

Hi Joyce, thanks for leaving a review. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to clarify the following: -We use professional photographers for our listing photos to ensure our images accurately reflect the property, and guests can decide before booking if the property will suit their needs. We can assure you that it is just as advertised online. All the types of furniture and the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking to meet expectations. We understand taste in design is subjective so not everyone will be pleased -We take the accuracy of our listings seriously, and we have a no-pet policy and no pets in our home. Upon examination before and after your stay, we could not find any evidence of what you described. We responded promptly to address the issue, offering to resolve this the same day, however, there was no indication this was still a concern and further inspection and cleaning were declined by your group We have had such positive reviews in the past and since your stay. We work very hard to ensure all guests arrive at a 5-star experience at our vacation home and we're confident that we will continue to do so moving forward!
