Hovedhuset har 3 soveværelser og en hems (se nedenfor for BED layout). Derudover er der 4 fuld badeværelser plus to udendørs brusere! Dramatisk dobbelt højde stue med stor pejs åbner på store udendørs dæk, der fører til søen. Gasgrill. Guesthouse har stue, der fordobler som et soveværelse (med fuld badeværelse) og separat ovenpå soveværelse suite med fuld badeværelse. Huset er udstyret med en bar område med lille køleskab, mikrobølgeovn og bar sink, samt en udendørs terrasse. Begge huse er fuldt air-condition. Sommer aktiviteter omfatter: Tennis: Privat tennisbane på ejendom med ketsjere og bolde. Båd, fiske, svømme og vandre. Wonderful dock på søen med tømmerflåde. Tæt på flere naturskønne golfbaner. Fem minutter fra Copake søen og motorbåd. Inden for 30 minutter af Berkshires, hvor sommerens kunstfestivaler bugne. Nær skiløb (15 minutter), slæde, snesko og skøjteløb om vinteren. Fabulous top bedømte restauranter inden for 10-20 minutter. Smuk! Perfekt til en familieferie, genforening eller 2 familier deling.

We had a family vacation and this property was great! Plenty of room for the group for activities throughout the day: boating, fire pit, indoor/outdoor dining, etc.

Family Reunion

We used this house as well as 2 other homes in the neighborhood to meet for a family reunion. All the houses were clean and in close proximity to each other and the pond. The guest house for this property was a game changer, great size and space. The house had beautiful views of the lake and was clean! The room with the loft does not have AC, so that was tough because it was very warm in there.

Great for large family

The house and guest house were perfect for what we were looking for. It would be great to see the owner make some updates, but overall all it’s an amazing property.

Perfect for groups!

We have four families that go away to different places every year and this was the best house so far! Plenty of room for all of us, quiet, and lots to do on the property. The only issue we had was wifi in the guest house but the host was very easy to contact and even came to the house to help restore it. It was a great stay!

Beautiful location on Upper Rhoda Pond

The house and guest house were perfect for our group of 10 adults. It was roomy and comfortable. The location on the pond is fantastic, with lots of outside seating and a beautiful view. Some of us enjoyed the kayaking and swimming while others used the tennis court. The table tennis was also fun. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Labor Day Weekend

We rented this property for my husband’s whole family to get together and enjoy the end of the summer. We had 8 adults and a 2 year old, and the property was the perfect gathering spot for us all. The separate guest house was great for our niece to have a quiet place for her nap. We loved boating and swimming on the lake, and the property looked magical with the outdoor lights at night. I would highly recommend this property.

Great Getaway

Our family was looking for the perfect place to gather to celebrate our mother’s birthday. This property was a home run! It was large enough for our group and had great spaces to entertain, both inside and out. The hostess was quick to respond with any questions we had. The location was also great, being close to Hudson, NY as well as the Berkshires, just over the border. I would definitely rent this home again

Great house on quiet pond in perfect location

We really enjoyed our time in Copake. There was so much room for all our family. The layout was great with lots of natural lighting. The property is huge and the tennis court and kayaks were used every day. The location is perfect, between the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires, so we enjoyed both. Jenifer was a big help answering questions. No complaints and we would visit here again for sure.

House on Upper Rhoda Pond

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house and guest house left plenty of room to spread out, and the property was ideal, isolated from neighboring properties. Loved having a tennis court, which was used daily. The kids swam off of the dock and also enjoyed the fishing which resulted in numerous fish caught each time we ventured out to fish. The deck was used daily for meals and the sitting area nearer to the dock was frequently utilized. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

Family vacation

Great house for our family with grandkids ages five through eighteen! Tennis courts, ping pong and gym were all appreciated! Plenty of room for the ten of us with together and private spaces. Beautiful grounds. Boats were fun too! House also well stocked. Loved it!

Super chill place

We had a family reunion by the lake last weekend. The house and property were beautiful and the adjacent cottage was an extra bonus Lots to do boating tennis ping pong all included and in great shape Amazing lake view We are a really picky group and all of us were blown away We will be back for sure

Great House, Spectacular Location

The house was larger and closer to the lake than than the photos suggested. Plenty of room for 14 of us for a relaxing family retreat. We kayaked in the lake, walked the rail trals and swam at a few locations. The Roe Jan Brewery was a big hit for good food and drink. Jenifer the property manager was very responsive and helpful, and even provided an unexpected fantastic amenity.

Fun family trip!

There were 12 of us, and this house accommodated all of us very comfortably! We (Grandparents )enjoyed king bed with adjoining bathroom and walk in closets! Other grandmother had suite down the hall! Living room, kitchen, dining area was perfect for gathering, dining together, playing card games.. Enjoyed Games of ping pong in the basement! Beautiful outdoor views of woods and pond!

Amazing Large Private Property on the Lake!

The house was enormous, the main house had a huge open kitchen/living room/dining room and the "guest house" was a large size! There was a nice fireplace in the living room and a fire pit outside. Everything we needed from propane to wood to outdoor sports equipment was provided. The property itself was large, there were tennis courts and plenty of room for lawn games and activities. Of course there was a dock down to the lake with a few canoes/kayaks for us to use and enjoy. A really amazing house for a few families or a group of friends to enjoy as there are so many activities and so much space on the property. You'll never want to leave!

Mediocre

This was a very spacious property with beautiful views and a particularly nice living room in the main house, but there are fewer bedrooms than listed. The main house has two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. The bedrooms on the second floor have beds that are extremely old and uncomfortable. The upstairs bathroom has a shower that leaks water and a bathroom that stays very cold. The thermostats all over the property were difficult to control, and most of the bedrooms were too hot. The pullout couch on the second floor had all kinds of outdoor debris and like acorns- so the kids didn’t want to sleep on it. It was also very old and uncomfortable. The king size bed on the first floor was very comfortable, which was nice. The kitchen is actually quite small and the dishwasher is very finicky- our dishes were not that clean and needed to be dried. The guest house which is separate from the main house is much more updated and beautiful. Unfortunately, the bedroom on the second floor over there was like a sauna. Even setting the thermostat way down did not seem to work.

Very well stocked with tons of bathrooms!

Great property. Well stocked, and it's truly amazing how many full bathrooms and showers they were able to fit in this place. The fact that there are two separate houses lends a lot of flexibility to how you can split up people in a large group. Everything is as advertised, with a couple caveats: 1. The listing claims there are two king beds, but there is only one. The other beds are accurate. There are some spacious couches, and we found a cot in one of the closets, so it wasn't a problem for our group. 2. Kayaking and swimming in the pond was great, but I would warn you that it is very murky/weedy by the shore, so you will definitely want to ride a kayak out to one of the floating platforms in the center before swimming. Beware that these platforms were completely covered in goose poop when we were there! 3. The grill worked well, and has a gas line directly from the house, so you shouldn't worry about running out of gas. The ignition was broken, but we were able to just use a lighter to start it. The kitchen stove is also gas and worked well. 4. The kitchen is well stocked, but the only can opener was broken. Other than that, it was perfect! Our highlights were kayaking in the day and gathering around the outdoor fire pit at night. We had a group of 14 people and were very comfortable in a 3 night stay, although we brought 2 air mattresses of our own. I would say 12 people is about the max I would recommend for this property.

Perfect house for a friends' weekend!

We were five couples looking for a relaxing getaway and this house was just perfect. It's actually like having 2 houses with the separate guest house offering a large room with a bar and fridge for everyone to gather at night when you weren't sitting by the fire pit and looking at that beautiful nighttime view. The house was well equipped and the photos on line are accurate. The property manager lives nearby and was very responsive when we needed a change in batteries for one of the thermostats. The things we liked most about the house were: the views of the pond (just beautiful and you had the view from most rooms of the house), the watercraft (kayak, paddleboat and row boat), the tennis court, the guest house, and the surrounding area had lots of outdoor activities (Bash Bish Falls was very close and a must-do). Some things to consider if traveling in a group: there is a wide range of bedroom sizes so some couples had a huge room with own shower and others had a double bed with a bathroom across the hall. The kitchen is a little on the tight side for multiple cooks, but again not a real problem for us - we did cook one night and the table accommodated all 10 of us comfortably. I suggest doing what we did and bring up as much food and beverage as you think you need for your stay as there is not much shopping within a 10 minute drive. Every one of the ten of us thought this house was awesome and we would definitely come back!

Almost great

First of all, the place haas great curb appeal. A big main house and guest house are revealed after a quaint dirt lane. Can't beat it. There was plenty of room (as promised) and the whole experience was quite serene and relaxing, the kind of place you don't really want to leave. However, there were some cons too. One, the description states a shared gym but "private tennis courts." That's not true. Tennis is shared. It also states a "lakeside" property. It's not a lake. It's a pond. As it turns out, the tennis wasn't a problem as no one else tried to use it when we wanted to play, but it should be noted that the tennis court was the primary reason we chose this rental and, had we known it was shared ahead of time, we would have made a different choice. The pond was nice except for the "scum" that you have to boat through to swim further out. That was known to us before hand, but it's more shocking up close and personal. As others have noted, only the master bedroom (king) has a comfortable bed. Master bath had rust all over the shower-head and towel holder, which was unfortunate. Also all the water smelled like sulfer, which is easy to mitigate and I wish they would have. The only other con was the communication with the property manager, who was only somewhat responsive once we actually signed her rather lengthy and overzealous contract. Previous to that, she almost never responded. It was a good trip, but could have been great if the above was addressed.

A wild mix-up with a good outcome

I'll start with the good outcome: my family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, sprawling home. Gracious common areas and nice private sleeping quarters. Ping pong and tennis courts. Wood burning fireplace. The kitchen and dining area were a little cramped but it worked. The weirdest part was the mix-up. Somehow our GPS sent us to the wrong house. Coincidentally, the keypad wasn't working so we were none the wiser when we unlocked the door. Around 7pm as we were finishing the dinner we'd prepared after unpacking, the host appeared at the door and informed us of our error. It was NO fun to move house just as we were settling in for the night, but the mistake was entirely ours. (Plus the rightful tenants were on their way.) Once we had resettled in the correct house, we had a blast. Made a funny Thanksgiving story.

We love the views, light and the beauty of the house. The fireplace is very special. The property itself is large and gorgeously landscaped. We even have a vegetable garden which during the season will have vegetables and herbs for the picking! Tennis court along with a basketball hoop
