Welcome to Goose Creek on Chautauqua Lake!

This 3 bed, 1 bath, fully equipped cottage on the creek serves as a peaceful getaway.

Kayak the calm waters of the creek up to a mile long and enjoy the wildlife along the nature preserve. Fish right from the dock, or take the canoe or kayaks out on Chautauqua Lake!

Just a short paddle or boat ride around the corner and you can watch the sunset out on the lake. In the evenings, enjoy a soak in the hot tub and good times around the firepit.

Dock and launch can be used for kayaks, personal watercraft, and shallow water boats

Firewood is usually available but can also be purchased up the road

We pulled up and the owner was finishing her cleaning. Great communication of necessary information. For us it was tranquil and we got to enjoy a bit of wildlife including Deer, ducks, cranes and beavers. The owner obviously cares about her guests as noted by the toiletry selection, snacks and coffee/tea selection. The only thing I was missing in the kitchen, for my needs, was a potato masher, but I got the job done with a whisk. My only complaint was the weather, but we can only blame mother nature for a cold start of May. But we were able to comfortably entertain our family in the living room and sun room instead of the planned back porch.

Accomodating

Our family of 3 stayed for a long weekend and the checkin and checkout communications were very helpful. The property location is convenient for exploring multiple fun areas and activities in North western PA and South western NY balanced with the house providing an accomodating experience. It's difficult to find a vacation rental that offers it all, so having waterfront access with kayaks, a firepit, and a hot tub helped make for a wonderful vacation

Great place

The cottage was perfect for our getaway with friends. There was enough room for the 6 of us where we could all hang out together. The kids had their own space and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck by the water. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed.and more. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely recommend staying here.

July Trip

We had a great time at this place. Very clean and well maintained. The place was fully stocked with items you may need if you forgot something. The shower is a little tight for taller people and has limited parking, but with two couples and two vehicles it was not a problem. Very quiet and relaxing area of the lake. Would definitely go back.

Great experience

This rental exceeded our expectations. The location was great, close enough to canoe to the lake. The host goes out of their way for renters to have a great experience providing basic needs that others almost never provide. The communication with the host was great as they responded to every message in a timely manner. We hope to rent again in the future.

Fantastic creek fishing /relaxing stay!

The cottage was great . . . it was in a superb location allowing us to fish right from the bank of the creek outside our back door to allowing us to canoe/kayak to the mail Lake of Chataqua! We also watched other boaters float by as they headed to the Lake. We had clean accommodations, excellent communication with the property manager and everything we could ever imagine we might need . . . . from games, to water equipment, to condiments, to personal care items, etc., etc. . . . . the cottage even had beach towels waiting for us for use after dipping in the hot tub and had the most comfortable beds! We definitely plan to head back in the future to this relaxing respite!

1940s style

Cottage was nice, clean, some cottage/lake decorations. Nice flooring but being a 1940s place, floors are a little slanted but we got used to them. Beds were comfortable except one that felt too tilted to make comfortable with my back issues. But that’s just me. Enjoyed our stay relaxing on the deck, had family stop over and living room/kitchen area is plenty large for company. Loved the sun porch but was too warm when we were there. Don’t think there were any screens. Right on the canal and we saw several boats with friendly neighbors wave as they passed.

Hi, Delores. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Im sorry the bed didn't work for you. I wish you had mentioned the sunroom being warm as there are solutions for that. All of the windows do have screens. There is also a ceiling fan, and the a/c. Thank you leaving the house in great condition!

This creekfront house was wonderful! Just barely off the lake so you had benefit of both. You can kayak down the creek or out to the lake easily. This house was clean, well maintained, orderly, strong wifi and quiet surroundings. It was so jammed with amenities-like coffee and snacks, games, and toiletries. Well stocked kitchen, crazy amounts of seating and whileIt looks small from the outside- it’s really roomy in the living room and the Florida room is beautiful to relax and eat in. Great deck with awning for sun and seating It’s secure and the setting is fantastic if you want wildlife , water, stars and quiet. We would love to go again. And a fire pit- it’s just got everything. Beds comfortable too. The host has done an excellent job of providing all you need and more for lovely vacation. in addition to the listed kayaks, hot tub, fire pit etc. there are pretty outside lights, good tv and easy parking. We can’t recommend it enough! Host was really fast to answer if we had a question. It’s a pretty area and this is a really good place to enjoy it!
