Come enjoy winter holidays in the North Georgia mountains at the recently refreshed Lazy Bear cabin. Enjoy sunset on the front porch and Walnut Mountain from the back deck with your morning coffee. Our tranquil cabin is perfectly situated 5 minutes from vibrant downtown Ellijay, and 15 minutes from Blue Ridge, both of which were recently named to Southern Living’s list of “Best Small Towns in Georgia.”

The Lazy Bear balances rustic with modern and radiates character and vintage charm. Perfect for couples, families, or a weekend with the girls/boys, the layout is ideal for privacy and comfort, featuring one bedroom per floor and access to an updated full bath on each level. Plenty of space for your group to spread out and have some privacy.

Lower Level patio has a hot tub overlooking a wooded ravine – a great spot to enjoy peace and tranquility of the forest, while sharing day’s adventure stories, reminiscing about the past or making plans for the future.

Fire pit has seating for 6 where everyone can enjoy s’mores along with the crackling sounds of the fire.

There is a covered front porch with a swing and rocking chairs, a great spot to take in nature, whether it’s with a cup of morning coffee, a cocktail along with a short afternoon rain or just peaceful sounds of the Georgia mountains at dusk.

The home was extremely welcoming. I appreciate how clean it was and how much attention to detail there was throughout. The hot tub was perfect for the cold night. The hosts were very responsive. We will absolutely be recommending this home.

Comfort, cozy, & fun

Wonderful cabin. Clean and organized with all necessities. Easy check in and check out process. Host very accommodating and easy to work with. Anything we asked even regarding the area, we received immediate responses. Fire pit atmosphere super nice! We will definitely return!

Perfect mountain getaway

The first thing I want to say is the host was great. Easy communication through the app and he responded quickly. We didn’t need to communicate much though because the house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, in fact it had a full set of knives, cutting boards, and pots and pans. The house had 3 floors with a queen bed and full bathroom on each floor. Our favorite part was the hot tub which was right outside the basement door so it was easy to get in and out of. There were plenty of towels, which is helpful for how many times we went in the hot tub. He had a great time and hope to return again soon. I would definitely recommend this property.

We wee lucky enough to find this amazing cabin last minute while on a motorcycle trip. This was our favorite stay of the entire two weeks of travel. I plan to come back next summer and experience it when we have more time to explore!

Our family was looking to spend some down time in the mountains during fall break and this place was perfect! The chalet was clean and well kept, exactly as indicated from previous guests. We especially appreciated all the attention to details the hosts put into the chalet - from the soaps in the bathrooms and kitchen, to the towels for the hot tub. The layout of the chalet provided plenty of room to spread out, while also allowing a lot of opportunities to spend time together. We really enjoyed hanging out together on the front and back porches, the hot tub, and the fire pit. The foosball table downstairs definitely saw some great family matches . So many great memories made! Our host, Victor, was amazing with communication from the very beginning. He was wonderful from check-in to check-out, always quick to respond if I had questions. Victor also provided some great ideas of things we could do in and around Ellijay during our visit. I only wish we had more time! We will definitely be back!
