This 7-bedroom lodge is perfect for your escape to Colorado Springs. Nestled outside of the city, minutes from the Air Force Academy, Scheels and Top Golf, this welcoming property offers a tremendous amount of space for you and your guests to enjoy. With 2 king beds, 3 just updated queen beds, 1 brand new full bed, 1 bunk bed, and even a crib, everyone has a place to unwind. The lodge features 5 bathrooms. Twiare equipped with hair dryers. We offer five showers and three tubs. The master has a jetted bathtub and steam shower for ultimate relaxation. In floor heat is luxurious during Fall and Winter months. The gourmet kitchen seats 13 comfortably. Whether you're exploring the city or simply unwinding in the lodge, we look forward to hosting you at our place. We call it: The Briarpatch. Fox Run Regional Park is one mile away and offers hiking and biking trails galore.
The Master Bedroom has its own access to the porch. Across the hall is a nursery and second spacious bedroom. The two-story vaulted living room with a floor to ceiling fireplace is where you’ll unwind. Multiple doors lead onto a deck with a 7-person hot tub. There is a fenced play area for little kids. A second fenced space accommodates dogs.
The upstairs loft is our favorite bedroom, but it does not have a floor to ceiling door. It has a full wall of windows - good for early risers.
Landlord lives in separate apartment on property.
Downstairs, there are two full bathrooms and three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms offer access to the forest. Several acres of property are available to explore. Deer often graze in the yard. There is also a front yard swing and fishpond!

Absolutely beautiful property. Worked perfectly for our large group. The steam shower was perfect after a long day and the hot tub was wonderful after our 13 hour drive. Host was very accommodating and responsive. We are already planning on renting it again in the future.

The house has plenty of room for a big group and every room has space to accommodate. The house felt like a home and the nine of us all enjoyed the time we spent there. We were all women from Texas and we did need ac to cool us down so make sure to take a fan. There were fans in the rooms but it was hot outside and we really didn’t ever cool down inside. Outside patio was so nice to sit in and relax and feel the breeze. I wish the outside of the house was cleaner a lot of cobwebs on windows and doors. Hot tub was relaxing. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. Overall I will recommend this house to my family and friends.

This was a nice, big house for a family who needs space to spread out. The basement has a an extra sitting room that is being renovated but like like it will be cute, and the kitchen is thoughtfully laid out with a huge table for group meals. The kids enjoyed the backyard, and the hot tub was relaxing.There were a few downsides for our family. Immediately noticable were the tiles on the main floor were not level, and the kitchen has broken, loose tiles. One of the king sized bedrooms is a loft with a large opening off the main living room, which wasn't presented accurately in the listing and complicated our sleep plans with a family that was using every bedroom. The hot water heater is set too high, and we almost burned ourselves on running water multiple times. The house also needs a deep clean. But the biggest drawback of all was probably that the house has no air conditioning, and the sliding screen doors were broken. Overall a decent house, but it isn't a great option for a summer stay.

Annual Family Vacation

Our stay at Grand Lodge was wonderful! There was plenty of room for all of us we loved the large, beautiful kitchen where we prepared and enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. The large deck and hot tub were a great gathering spot as well. We lived the quiet setting in the pines but were close enough for trips into the activities and attractions in Colorado Springs. Great place to stay!

We are a family of 13 (multi-family vacation) so we chose this location since there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It was in good driving proximity to Pike's Peak, Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods. We enjoyed the large kitchen and eating area, which was very clean. The back deck/hot tub area was beautiful, especially in the evenings under the porch lighting. The hot tub was large and well maintained. The July weather made the house a little hot during the day, but leaving the windows and doors open cooled the place off nicely. There was great water pressure in the entire house and the water definitely got hot, maybe a little too hot, so just watch that with your little ones. We did get to visit with the neighbor's cats, both of which are very friendly. One even wandered into the house to visit. The kitchen was well stocked, the only thing we missed having was a crockpot to make those big "set it and forget it" family meals. The washer and dryer were nice to have, and there were plenty of extra towels/sheets/blankets. Most rooms had extras portable fans, which is a plus for anyone that needs white noise to sleep at night. The playground area was a fun surprise for our kids. We would choose this house again if we return to the Colorado Springs area. Thanks for sharing your house with us.

family vacation

We had a great time on our vacation. The kitchen was big and had just about everything you needed but you had to find it first. The house definitely needs to be updated (furniture, appliances and outside) and cleaned completely. Casey was very prompt with cleaning the hot tub and fixing the plumbing issue.

The Home We Needed

Our travel to the area included 3 adult siblings and their families, The space was the perfect fit for all 15 of us. We enjoyed meals at the large table and also on the deck. Having the basketball goal too provided many hours of entertainment. Plenty of parking for 4-5 cars that our family had at the location. Great stove and oven for all the family meals.Host was very responsive to text for necessary questions during the trip.Bear locking trash cans also exist at location. We would recommend and would also stay again at this location. We were able to observe deer throughout the days & evenings and even saw a black bear one evening.

Honest review

We had a great trip despite the fact we were disappointed in the house. The second king “bedroom” is an open loft with no way to block out light or sound, so is basically unusable. There were also many areas that just weren’t clean, which is not what you expect when paying these prices. A sewer gas smell kept us from using the back deck a couple of nights and over half of the property was not accessible due to locked gates. On the positive side, the kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked, the grandkids loved the hot tub and used it everyday and Casey was quick to respond to a plumbing issue and any questions we had.

Large and easily accommodate 15

The Good: Impressive entry way. Excellent Kitchen and large table that could seat 12. Host quickly responded (for example the TV in the master did not work and the host replaced it on the same day we reported). Plenty of towels and linens! Location is nice and quiet and just a few minutes from the City. The not so good: Downstairs Living Room was unfinished (dry wall only on 1 wall). There were annoying, unattractive "gates" to keep kids/pets enclosed in different sections of the house. There was 1 hair dryer for the entire house (ok, but would be good to know that you need to pack one). The back yard near the house has piles of rock and tiles. Cleaning could be better - i.e. fireplace covered in dust/ash. There is no "forced air" heating or cooling.Overall it was good for our group. But for the price we paid, it did not meet our expectations.
