This was mine and my husband’s first trip without the kids (7 and 4). We did take our two fur kids and we all absolutely loved it. My husband is in the construction field and we were just admiring all the little details inside and out all weekend long. Our dogs loved the fenced in area and the fenced in deck. The whole entire house was perfect. So many amenities. You truly do not have to leave the cabin. We will most definitely be back in the future!

Thoughtful details, creative design, and clear organization and communication really made our stay. The place itself is really well done, clean and comfortable, and very functional, but the attention to detail makes all the difference. If possible our dog may have enjoyed her stay even more than we did! Wifi was not the best but we were told they were having issues before arrival. The unique layout of the main cabin and a smaller cabin (bedroom, bath, and laundry) adjacent to each other and accessible from the expansive covered deck allows extra privacy for your group. A unique property we definitely recommend!

Excellent stay at this cabin, extremely clean, smooth check in and out process, and all amenities were available plus a well stocked kitchen. Highly recommended stay for a nice quiet getaway.

Stay in Springfield at a beautiful cabin

Very comfortable stay with all of the amenities. We especially enjoyed the wildlife and the view from the back porch.

Everything stood out, the host, the home, the amenities and all associated with it. Milam Ridge is exceptional, the host has created a place of exceptional beauty, comfort, peace & tranquility!! Everything that you could possibly need or want in this setting has been thought of and provided so all you have to do is show up and enjoy!!
Out with the Pups's in the beautiful dog enclosure enjoy the crisp air!!

Wonderful cabin, great stay

We loved staying at this cabin in April. This cabin has so many thoughtful details and beautiful views. Both of my teenagers already want to know when we can come back, which is a glowing recommendation from them as well. Thanks for the great trip!

Had a great time with family. We had all that we needed. The cabin was clean, the deck and dog area was spacious, the fire pit was fun for making s’mores. Too hot for the hot tub but was private and nice. Having the two separate cabins gave all some privacy at night to unwind from the day.

This cabin is 100% just as the other reviews said!! So clean, so well stocked, the dog run was better than expected. Even the pots and pans were luxurious!! For a quick night away from the craziness of life the is was perfect! I enjoyed the quiet morning on the porch with my coffee and pups! Thanks Brett!!

Milam Ridge is a wonderful getaway that combines an industrial aesthetic with a peaceful wooded setting. The two clean, well-maintained cabins share a spacious, fully roofed deck with sturdy gates that make it exceptionally pet-friendly. Our two small dogs could roam the deck safely, and a separate fully fenced area provided plenty of room for them to run.The main cabin has an open living room/kitchen, wood stove, Roku TV, games and movies, a well-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, and ice-maker. The second cabin adds another bedroom and bathroom with a full-size washer/dryer. The covered deck was our favorite feature, with abundant seating, a dining table, bar overlooking the woods, outdoor sink/prep area, and fans. The covered fire pit was another highlight, with comfortable Adirondack chairs, excellent ventilation, and plenty of firewood.There are a few neighboring homes and occasional daytime noise from people working outside or kids playing, but this was never a significant issue for us. We stayed a full week with our 14-year-old son and two dogs and absolutely loved it. The cabins were comfortable and quiet, the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, and the Level 2 J1772 EV charger was a great bonus. Cell service is limited, but reliable Wi-Fi is provided.Milam Ridge is ideal for families, couples, friends, and especially anyone traveling with pets. It's also a great base for exploring northern West Virginia. We would happily return and highly recommend it!

The most unique,cozy & relaxing cabin we have stayed in. Off the beaten path and in a very quiet secluded area! We loved watching the wildlife from the gorgeous deck, listening to the coyotes howl at night from the hot tub, and viewing the stars from the outdoor shower. Host communication was fantastic! Property was very clean and extremely well stocked. The attention to detail throughout the cabin was exceptional! If you’re looking for relaxation this is the place for you!

Did Not Disappoint!

This property is just as beautiful as the pictures show. The covered deck is the centerpiece of this destination and is where you will want to stay. House was stocked with anything you could ever need! 5 service and experience!

Beautiful and Private

The cabin is beautiful! It was a private relaxing getaway. Everything was very clean and well organized. They had an information packet set out that answered most of our questions. It was really nice enjoying the peace and quiet by the fire drinking our wine.
