FABULOUS FLAMINGO! Gorgeous 4/3 Oceanfront! Just remodeled!

Located in quiet and serene Ponte Vedra Beach, The Fabulous Flamingo is paradise. The nest features three levels - all facing the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. Walk into The Flamingo and you are greeted with a hallway highlighted by two bedrooms and a bathroom. Take a look, open the back door, and the waves are there to greet you.
Walk upstairs and you are in the main living room. The kitchen, the dining room, one bedroom, and a bathroom make up this floor. On the second floor, you will see the ocean in its full glory. It is an absolutely spectacular view. Watch the waves rise and fall, have a drink on the spacious deck, and later watch the moon shine on the water. It's truly a wonderful gathering place for the family.
Go to the top level and you will be romanced by the Flamingo room. Life-size herons dominate one wall while a king-size bed invites you to have a great sleep. The bathroom on this level is a decorator's dream: pink and grey tile dominate, all overseen by a demure flamingo.
Owned by Elizabeth Mittauer, the house has been under renovation for almost nine months. Mrs. Mittauer worked with Carrie Whitsell Interiors to give the property a designer look and feel. The artwork is elegant and yet fun; the beds are super comfortable; and the kitchen is well stocked with a family in mind. It is a top beach house.
The location of The Fabulous Flamingo is perfect. St. Augustine is mere minutes away with memorable tours and restaurants. Not into the City scene, the Guana River Preserve is right across the street. Have dinner at Cap's On the Water and watch the boats go down the Intracoastal while admiring the breathtaking sunset. If you prefer to cook at the house, a new grill is in the garage, and grocery stores are less than 10 minutes away.
The Fabulous Flamingo can be your home away from home. Come fly into town and experience this superb beach house.

The place was beautiful and suited our needs perfectly. The house was very gracious with supplies that she provided, coffee, drinks in the fridge, etc. We would stay there again.!

Our family of 6 really enjoyed this beautiful home right on the ocean. The house was very clean and well stocked with paper goods, toiletries, coffee condiments/miscellaneous spices and laundry supplies. The only thing we missed in the kitchen was a Keurig as we couldn’t use the kcups we brought. There were at least 6 nice beach chairs, beach towels, a canopy that we did not use, beach toys and a couple of boogie boards in the garage - super nice to be able to use the beach stuff. We would have liked a couple of chais lounge type chairs on the deck but there were plenty of regular chairs. The master suite is large with lots of privacy and a great view. The master bath does not have a door although there is still some amount of privacy as the toilet and shower are out of view, but this may bother some people. Overall, we had a great stay and communication with the property manager was good. We had a minor maintenance issue that was resolved very quickly. The location is excellent and the nice wide beach (at low tide) was amazing. We would stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Fabulous Flamingo. The home is very well maintained. The ocean view is gorgeous and provides easy access to the beach. The home provides everything you need from cookware to beach towels/nice beach chairs to an extra fridge in the garage. And, the host is very easy to communicate with and is quick to respond. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Also, considering beachfront homes are directly on the A1A, we LOVE there is a large (red or orange) sign on their mailbox making the driveway easy to spot before you get too close so you can signal in advance and not drive past it. Highly recommend. I only gave it a 4 on pricing because houses in Ponte Vedra are getting so expensive. We love the area....but we go for eight days so the cost is a serious consideration for us. Too bad repeat visitors don't get a discount.... :-)

Amazing Time!

We had an incredible time staying at the Fabulous Flamingo. Our family is local to the area, so we have stayed in at least eight other beach houses along this strip. This one was our favorite to date, we will definitely be back!! The house is clean, simple (not too much clutter / decor) and very functional (chairs, toys, towels available, kitchen well equipped). Highly recommend!

Awesome family experience

We gathered for our extended family’s bday celebration and chose this home for its proximity to their rental but also for its charm. The home was right on the ocean and access was smooth. You will not regret your stay. Amenities and home are perfect for cooking and family time with no fuss. The host was responsive and welcoming. We will return for our annual trip.

We have rented shore houses in South Ponte Vedra Beach over the past 15 years, going back to before we moved to Florida. This house, Flamingo, is, by far, the best yet. The owner keeps this property as if she doesn't rent it. The decor, amenities and extras provided are unsurpassed from what ive seen. We hope to return soon! Also, we had great communications with the property manager and owner. Rent this house and thank me later.

Perfect in every way!

Everything was amazing - location, home, decor, furniture, amenities, comfy beds, showers and all the extras. Was perfect for us and our adult children, but was also great for hosting extended family for dinners and family time. The openness of the kitchen/dining/living area and the master bedroom/bathroom was very nice. Our vacation was made extra special because of the perfection of this home. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a home away from home that is not only comfortable but also has so much care and thought put into every detail of the space and design. We come to St. Augustine/Ponte Vedra twice each year and this has been our favorite home so far. We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary while there and had a picnic set up for us on the beach, and it was the most beautiful location for it. The welcome gift basket was a chef’s kiss. Thank you - we will be sure to come back!

Wow! The Fabulous Flamingo was indeed FABULOUS!

Our Labor Day weekend stay at this stunning beachfront VRBO property was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and charm of this home. The location is perfect, with the private beach just steps away, offering breathtaking ocean views and the soothing sound of waves crashing. The house itself is a masterpiece, beautifully decorated with all the extra special touches that made our stay truly memorable. Each room was thoughtfully designed, providing both comfort and luxury. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare delicious meals, and the spacious living areas were perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The host’s hospitality was exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed - toiletries, hairdryers, beach chairs, etc. The welcome bag with snacks and drinks was a lovely touch that made us feel right at home! Our experience at this VRBO was beyond our expectations. It was the perfect getaway for our family, and we left with wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful home by the beach. Highly recommend the Fabulous Flamingo to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing beach vacation!

PERFECT FAMILY GET AWAY

This was our sixth year bringing our kids and grandkids to Ponte Vedra. Every year I look for the "perfect" house that will accommodate us with the "perfect" bedroom layout. We thought we had found that "perfect" home last year. And, it was good. Not going to lie. But in doing a quick look-see, I came across Fabulous Flamingo.The pics looked great. Layout seemed perfect. But also being in real estate I know pics can be deceiving. So, I sent the link to the family. Everyone was a "yes". And, I will say the house did not disappoint.The remodel is gorgeous. The layout similar to what we had the previous year, but this home is much brighter - drenched in sunlight which we like. The kitchen is beautiful and has had a very nice update. I love being in the kitchen while enjoying a breath taking view of the ocean. That is why we are there...right? LOL The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome. And, there was a very sweet "Welcome" gift on the kitchen counter which we had never experienced in prior years. The beds were very comfortable. And, lay out worked well for our family. It was a bonus to have nice beach furniture which we made a point of taking good care of by rinsing off each day. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Fabulous Flamingo. If we could afford it, we would stay longer....LOL. We enjoyed the home so much That I have already booked it for next year. Thank you for making our stay "feel like home"
