This place is central to everything and is a nice layout with nice amenities. Perfect for a family of 3 or 2 travel friends.

Amazing Stay!

This quiet little hideaway was absolutely perfect! It was so cozy, and convenient. Craig was an amazing host, and so helpful. Our trip was amazing mainly thanks to the time he took to send us a list of all the awesome places nearby, and things to do. We had a blast! Can’t wait to do it again.

Great Trip!

This was a very enjoyable stay! The thing I would recommend the most about this was the kitchen. It was so great to be able to cook and save money! The property was very nice and Craig was great to deal with. This was my first time ever using VRBO and Craig was very communicative and helped me through the entire process! We had a wonderful trip and a great stay!

Cute and comfortable hideaway in Hollywood

Stayed for about 2 weeks here in the summer. This cute little spot is a nice quiet spot in the heart of Hollywood. The front door deck area was a lovely place to sit and felt very removed from the sometimes chaotic-feeling streets a few blocks away. Was a pretty easy drive to UCLA, where we went daily. Parking is pretty easy and straightforward by urban street parking standards. Craig arranged a guest parking pass for the neighborhood. Craig was very responsive and clearly works hard to keep the place up well.

Simple accomodations with easy access to LA and a great host

Craig was a great host! He wasn't there to meet us, but had his house guest (who was also great, and very flexible when our flight was 40 minutes late) show us in. When we needed a parking pass, we got it. When we needed more pillow cases, we got them. Communication was very easy and Craig made sure our stay was enjoyable. He was a delight! The place itself is a bit rustic. There is no ac (luckily we had cool nights, and the open windows were plenty sufficient). The sign said it was ant seaon which we did not see, but we saw lots of spiders/spider webs--living room, kitchen, shower. Spiders are not a thing we fear, so we mostly let them be, but be aware that they may be there. The shower, towels, and bed are very basic--nothing of luxury/pampering, but they worked. The spot was great--easy access to Hollywood and Sunset Blvd, and a cheap Uber ride to any other place. We fell in love with LA and were happy Craig was there to help us!

Fantastic little home from home

Craig’s property is wonderful. Great location and has everything you need. Craig is super helpful and knows his area really well if you want local recommendations. Parking is easy. Wi-Fi good. Well appointed kitchen. I’d definitely return. Thanks for letting me stay.

Cozy & Walkable!

The bed + fold-out couch was great for my friend and me! The guest house is cozy & Craig is a great and super responsive host. The area is great & made it easy to walk places to avoid driving/parking. Thank you Craig for your suggestions for things to do/eat in the area and for your kindness in checking in on how things were going. We had a great time & would stay here again.

A Quiet Oasis in the Middle of Hollywood

What a find! I booked this space for visiting family from out of the country because I had no room in my own small, Hollywood apartment. I wanted a space where they could feel at home rather than a cold and noisy hotel on Hollywood Blvd. Craig was a hospitable, friendly, and patient host. (I say patient because I was a bit frazzled and not always clear in my messaging while coordinating the check-in time with him. He communicated with me in an easygoing manner and worked with me to get it sorted.) I had the great pleasure of meeting him a few minutes before my family arrived to check-in. He provided clear instructions on the use of all items. My family especially appreciated the clearly marked labels around the space for the lighting and other electronics. (What may be obvious for us may not be for folks from outside the U.S. Craig clearly recognizes this, and his incredible attention to detail was a huge plus!) The space was clean and comfortable and homey. The kitchen was fully equipped with standard size fridge, oven, microwave, etc., so my family was able to make and enjoy meals with ease. The bed was comfortable, and the space remained cool without the need for turning on the AC despite the very hot days during their stay. What truly surprised me was how quiet it was. Because I live a few blocks away, I’m familiar with how noisy our community is. I was a bit worried that my family wouldn’t be able to rest at night having come from a quiet, fishing village. It was never an issue. Craig curated a space that uses natural barriers to block the noise. (I was tempted to have my family stay in my apartment while I stayed in the rental. Maybe next time.) I’m grateful to Craig for providing a safe resting place for my family in between our outings. It’s a special bonus for me to have met a VRBO host that is also a wonderful part of our community (rather than a faceless real estate investor). I hope to book this space in the future. Thank you, Craig!

100% recommend! Amazing host, property, and area!

I really couldn't recommend Craig and his property more. My girlfriend and I loved everything about this spot. We stayed for a month as we're trying out different areas in the city/state and it was a great experience! The space is exactly as shown in the listing and was perfect for our needs. Was super clean when we arrived and had everything we need. It isn't huge but having the bed up in the loft makes it feel much more spacious and the outside area really opened the space up as well. I loved working each day out on the deck. Deck furniture was nice, gets good sunlight and Craig did a great job with the plants, it's really relaxing out there. Even though you're on Craig's property he did a great job with the fence, trees, and plants that it feels very secluded and private. The neighborhood was great, quiet, clean, great for walks and runs. Some cool streets and neighborhoods to explore all around. There is a little park right across the street that we loved. Spent many afternoons out there. Covid wise, all the neighbors were very respectful, wore masks, made space. Can't say that for every neighborhood that we've been to in the area. Overall location is super convenient for jumping on different highways so it's fairly quick to get to the beaches, mountains, different neighborhoods. Lastly, Craig was amazing. Incredibly nice, helpful, and communicative without being overbearing in any way. Certainly gave us our privacy and was super respectful with Covid precautions and all. Was great to get clean sheets and towels each week. Allowed us to do our own laundry as well. Seriously, one of the best hosts we had. I know it can be a little weird staying right on someone's property but we loved the space and loved Craig. Highly recommend!

The place is not clean at all

The owner was nice but his property was not clean at all. To cut it short, the amount of dust inside the apartment makes it unlivable... the kitchen pots/pan/plates were not cleaned as well.

Wonderful experience. Craig is a top notch concierge. Cottage is small but cozy. Could have used a little more heat and perhaps a handrailing to the loft. Will def. recommend the cottage to our friends.

Amazing

My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely home. It was extremely clean and plenty of room for the both of us. This little treasure is nestled in a prime location. We could walk to restaurants and activities. It was quiet and beautiful. Craig was amazing! From beginning to end he was available to answer questions, offer recommendations to restaurants, and just so wonderful to talk with. He made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us our space but readily available to help if needed. We will definitely stay again. It was amazing!

Hollywood Oasis

This was our first time staying in California and it won't be our last. Craig's guest house was perfect. All of the interaction with Craig leading up to our arrival was great and the stay was even better. Craig is a great host, available when you need something but not intrusive at all. His Thai food recommendation our first night was great! The place was perfect for us. I choose all of our VRBO stays after thoroughly reading the reviews, so I try to be honest in my reviews. This place is the real deal. It's close to most everything LA/Hollywood and one of the most beautiful things is you get back to peace and quiet. It really is an oasis in Hollywood!

Perfect!

Craig's property is PERFECT! Amazing location, close to everything in Hollywood. The place itself is so cute. Exactly what we were looking for. There is floral outside so it smells great when you are sitting on this adorable patio. Craig has created a private oasis for his guests. Craig left lots of notes around his place which make it easy to figure everything out without having to reach out to him, which he was always available for questions. Upon arrival, Craig texted me places and attractions to check out. We were blown away by Craig's place and would definitely return if we come back to Hollywood! Thank you.

Perfect place to stay for so many reasons!

My daughter and I came to LA to look for an apartment for her and work while she pursues her acting career. We needed a safe and peaceful place to stay while we explored the LA area. We got so much more while staying at Craig's cottage! The pictures are completely accurate and it is even more beautiful & peaceful than we imagined! We wish we had more time to enjoy the courtyard, the flowers, the birds, & the privacy out on the deck. The queen sized bed was very comfortable and the downstairs was perfect for me to get work done on my computer & have a cup of coffee while my daughter slept in. Everything you need to cook meals is available in the kitchen and the refrigerator was great to have. In addition, we felt safe & knew that Craig was available if we had any questions or needs during our stay. The very first night we arrived from our long trip from the east coast, I knew Craig took care to make sure his guests felt welcomed and familiar with the area. He even walked with us to the restaurant a few blocks away to be sure we were comfortable and familiar with our surroundings. His suggestions and experience for restaurants, public markets, & areas to consider for my daughter's new home were so very much appreciated and made everything about our month long stay better. I knew from the beginning of our stay that Craig was a very special person and we feel extremely fortunate to have met him. We consider Craig to be a kind, considerate, and passionate host but more importantly now a dear friend. We definately recommend staying at his cottage whether it be for a few nights or longer. The parking is so convenient and the commute to anywhere in LA was easy. His place is very centrally located. I will be back to stay there when I visit my daughter and will recommend this place to anyone who is planning a trip to Hollywood or the LA area!

Hollywood cozy

The property is nicely tucked in behind a main house. Very private entrance & quiet. Easy walking to dining. Cute & cozy. Loft bedroom has a shorter ceiling and so not a full size room. But stairs make for easy access but bathroom is on main level.

Wonderful Quiet Cozy Cottage in the Heart of WeHo

Walked to all of the Hollywood attractions in the area and came “home” to a cozy private cottage with a great deck and all the comforts of home! The owner Craig had great recommendations for local eating and attractions and was extremely attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay in the heart of Hollywood, but with peace, quiet, comfort and privacy. We’ll certainly be considering another stay the next time we are in the area.

A peaceful oasis in the heart of Hollywood

On our first trip to Hollywood, we were not sure what to expect, but the photos of Craig's little hideaway looked nice, and the price was reasonable. We were in town for the ZBrush Summit, so our only hope was to just find a place to crash near the Gnomon School of Visual Arts that wouldn't break the bank. We got so much more than we expected. We've stayed at several Airbnb/HomeAway/VRBO properties, and with most you have a room in a home. This secluded cottage is separate from the home, giving ultimate privacy. Our favorite part was the courtyard; it came complete with a little pergola, Adirondack chairs, deck, and thick hedges that hide the fact that you're in the middle of downtown. Even the Hollywood Walk of Fame and many restaurants are within walking distance, or Uber/Lyft is a very efficient way to get around if you don't have a car. It's usually a 1-3 minute wait. The cottage also boasts a full kitchen with everything you need to do your own cooking, which made it feel a lot more like a home. It even had high-end finishes, like a quartz countertop, and featured stainless steel appliances like a full-size gas stove/oven. Trader's Joe's is a short walk away, so we bought groceries and made our visit more budget-friendly by cooking some of our meals. We also appreciated that our host had stocked the cottage with almost everything we needed or might have forgotten—there were little extras like a first aid kit, toiletries, Q-tips, and cotton balls. Craig is meticulous about his cottage and it definitely shows. Since he's a musician, we were also treated to occasional piano tunes while we sat in the courtyard and worked on our laptops—that was awesome and relaxing. Also, we've stayed at places before where the owner is present, but I think Craig went out of his way to give us space and privacy, so we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We'll definitely book Craig's cottage again in the future, and recommend this place to anyone visiting Hollywood!
