Cozy Studio Vibes | Downtown San Luis Obispo, CA | Near Beach & Trails

Our cozy vibes studio is perfect if your looking to experience everything San Luis Obispo has to offer. Centrally located, and walking distance to downtown, Madonna Inn, High Street Deli, Meadow Park, Vulture Peak Trail Head, and SloDoCo Donut. The unit has an adjustable queen size bed, Roku TV, free wifi, heating and air conditioning, kitchenette, bath, couch, coffee table/desk combo, dresser, and private outside seating area and a turntable with vinyl records.

The entire property has three homes and one garage spanning between South St. and Branch St. Cozy Studio Vibes is a tiny home that sits at the end of the long driveway. Guests staying in the Cozy Studio park on the street. (Parking is free) The front house is called The Layzie Dayzie. Guests booked in this home have access to driveway parking. We live in the home off Branch St. which is 75 feet away from the Layzie Dayzie. The large yard between both properties is in the process of being landscaped for future use.

You may cut through the yard towards Branch St to access some of our favorite places downtown, like BA Start, High St. Deli, or The Nautical Bean. Take the gravel path past our house on Branch St. Feel free to say hi, we love meeting our guests and are so happy for you to enjoy the beautiful downtown neighborhood.

We live in the home off Branch St. located on the property. Feel free to say hi, we love meeting our guests.

The tv swivels. You can watch from the bed or the couch. The bed is pushed up against the wall and can be awkward getting in and out. Feel free to slide the dresser/TV combo forward to allow easier access to the bed.

First of all, the hosts were very communicative and friendly. The place is exceptionally clean and well stocked with modern appliances (cooking on a hotplate, water kettle, toaster oven , fridge and microwave all worked super). Temperature easily adjustable. Bed was comfy. Towels just right. I did not use the TV or record player. The shower head water flow is not very strong and the water could have been hotter, but that just is my personal preference. It is in easy, safe and pleasant walking distance to downtown and I had no trouble parking on the street at anytime. I enjoyed my stay and hope to come back.

Home away from home-BEST Bed!

The best landing spot after visiting downtown (a short walk away), Cal Poly, and eating the yummy food all over town. Doug and Theresa are so on top of making you feel special and welcomed. The Bed!!!!!! So comfortable! Everything you need in an adorable little package!

Fantastic location in SLO! The property is exactly as described, with tons of parking. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. There are numerous places to eat and drink nearby, and downtown is only a 10-to 15-minute walk away, all on flat terrain. The studio has everything you would need. The hosts were easy to communicate with, and their guidebook answered any questions you would have. Would look to booking this place again when back in SLO.

Truly Cozy and Delightful!

This cozy studio is so aptly described! The charming decor, the lovely location, and the perfect amenities all made this a wonderfully pleasant stay. My husband and I traveled with our pup, who can get anxious in new environments, but not here! He was perfectly relaxed and slept soundly all night. The neighborhood is very walkable and I can’t get over how smartly designed the studio is. We will definitely stay again when we come back to SLO.

Perfect Studio

Absolutely loved this place. Was easy to find and owners were prompt and polite. You can't walk in without a smile. Very warm. Very welcoming. Has a record player in it! It's simple. Perfect studio getaway. Can't recommend enough.

GREAT STAY! Doug and Theresa were the BEST HOSTS! We stayed at the Cozy Studio Vibes during our ‘return’ to SLO for 11 days. (we used to have a business in SLO, so had some business to attend to as well as visiting friends and frequenting favorite restaurants).They were very accommodating too! As it turns out, Theresa is a Rotary member (as is my husband), so when we both ended up at the weekly Rotary meeting, we connected on a different level! She asked if we needed anything and I mentioned that since I do hand work, that it it would be nice to have a floor lamp so I could work on my projects… three days later, when we returned from lunch, a DARLING floor lamp was sitting by the door! Now THAT is service!The unit is amazingly quiet, even though it faces a fairly busy street. Getting into bed was probably the biggest challenge, as the queen size bed is in the corner, so somebody has to crawl into bed, but the adjustable part really helps make up for that!The kitchen is very well marked with ‘what is where’ and the items in the kitchen are of good quality, with real silverware (not the cheap stuff). (and REALLY good coffee provided as well!)The unit was the perfect ‘home base’ for our visit and SUPER convenient to the freeway, as well as many places in town.I would HIGHLY recommend this ‘cozy’ place if you are coming to the SLO area!!!

Cozy studio

We spent two nights at this studio- super clean and quiet. Loved using their guide to shortcut walk to downtown SLO and places to eat. We really liked “Luna Red” for our Christmas Eve dinner with family that was located across from the mission. Novo’s on Higeroa has the best salmon bisque! The bed is a great bed and even has controls to elevate head or feet - but if you have any mobility issues, you can only enter/exit the bed from the foot or one side, not both sides. Enjoy your stay!

The studio is designed well. It met our needs even in the details that seem minor but actually are nice. It’s a cute space. The bed, little sofa and the little seating space outside were comfortable and made relaxing between our adventures in and around SLO. Doug and Theresa were great hosts.

Amazing Stay, Highly Recommend

This is one of the best rentals I’ve stayed in! Great location, right by all the main bits of SLO- Madonna hiking trail (Cerro San Luis), downtown, and High St. Deli are at your doorstep! The studio was clean, incredibly well stocked, and everything worked perfectly. It was quiet, had AC, and the hosts were so responsive and accommodating. I can’t wait to go back to SLO and stay here again!
