The adventure is great and extremely close to the High Bridge Trail. It’s 5 miles from the High Bridge itself. The cabin is small and cozy and the porch is wonderful. The Host responds back to you almost immediately if you have any issues.

The Fox Den was perfect for our stay in Farmville! The property was just as described in the write up and photos. Nicole and Brian were very responsive to answering questions and helping with any issues. This was perfect for our stay and we will certainly check availability here first the next time we visit. We hope to visit again during the fall season to take advantage of the fire pit and enjoy what I believe is some beautiful fall foliage from the front porch rockers!

The Fox Den is just as cute as in the pictures! It is the perfect cozy getaway spot. This place has all of the essentials you could possibly need during your stay! I was thoroughly impressed by stock of kitchenware. It is clear the host wants to make sure you have everything you need as soon as you walk in the door.

Home away from home

I received a 5 star from my wife for picking this place. Everything was clean and all the amenities were effortless to navigate. It definitely felt like home away from home. Charming place and hope we have an opportunity to return and stay longer.

By far, one of the best vrbo properties we've rented! Place was squeaky clean and owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and at home. Added touches included snacks, all linens and towels, fully stocked kitchen, toiletries, robes and cute decor. We chose the property in part for its location intersecting the high bridge trail- bring your bikes and enjoy!! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful Weekend Stay

In town for our son's baseball game and we could not have been more impressed with this rental. Nicole thought of everything here and the cottage was immaculate. We had a pleasant and wonderful stay. Quote possibly one of the best rentals we have experienced. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at the Fox Den cottage! So private on beautiful acreage for peaceful hikes and early morning coffee time on porch rockers and swing! The beds and sofas are so comfortable! We loved the indoor electric fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Our host thought of everything we would need !! We loved the fox theme and will always remember this very special gem in Rice Virginia!! It was very hard to leave!

Property was as described. Very clean inside and out ( no pollen on outside furniture) and nicely decorated with a fox theme. Cottage well laid out with a good use of space. Well supplied with anything you may need. Good assortment of spices, teas and coffees. Even had ziplock bags and plastic food storage containers. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. Beds very comfortable. Even had puzzles, games, DVD"s and records. Great selection of dishes and pots and pans. Walking distance to High Bridge State Park. Would definitely stay here again. Anniversary Weekend Getaway

We love this property, it is so quiet and peaceful We love the cottage and the hiking/walking that is all on site. The house is warm and inviting, decorated with farmhouse chic style. This is our second time and we came more prepared to not have to leave at all during our stay. We love napping on the porch and star gazing by the fire pit. Nicole and family are amazing hosts, making sure we have everything we need and more. We hope to go back in the fall.

Cozy, updated and stylish with ALL the comforts of home plus many things you may have forgotten or didn’t think you might need (nail clippers, zip lock bags, Tupperware, makeup remover). Quiet area w many trails for walking on property, High Bridge trail for biking literally crosses the driveway. Host were attentive and responsive in providing check in and check out instructions and available if needed and yet absent as well. Beautiful place to unplug and recharge and be active or reflective. The fox theme and accents and decor—amazing! Comfortable beds, warm blankets available, safety vests for walking, A home reflecting the heart of a caring host family. A place to come back to, over and over!

We rented this cabin for our daughter and her husband for a few days after their wedding. This is her review: The second we entered, right after our wedding, my new husband and I had everything we needed. From cold water in the fridge and snacks on the table, cozy blankets galore and a warm fireplace to rest in front of. The best part was the swing on the porch, where we sat while watching it snow. There are plenty of just-in-case items. Though it is small, anything bigger would not have felt as warm and relaxing. We could not find a single thing we did not like about this cabin. BY FAR, this cabin was perfect for our mini-moon, and we plan to come back.

Absolute Gem!! So peaceful and beautiful! Will stay again!

I cannot say enough about this property, the inside is stunning and loved all the details. Nicole made sure we had everything we needed and more. The outside property is vast, we walked and hiked twice a day. The road that goes up the hill allows easy access to the top of the trail. You can venture off on the side trails which lead you back to the main. We packed our snacks and food so we could fully take in this beautiful property. This place is gorgeous and the porch, wow loved the rocking chairs and swing, morning coffee view. Beautiful, Beautiful!!! We are already planning to come back. Thanks again Nicole for everything!

A wonderful escape to The Fox Den!

We had a wonderful stay at Nicole‘s property. Everything was perfect. The house was adorable and we truly enjoyed the fox theme. There were some really unique decor items. We loved how the place was decorated, it had a gorgeous kitchen-family room open space. Everything looked new and clean. The house was appointed with absolutely everything you would need and then some. We loved the privacy being surrounded by trees and nothing else. We did not get a chance to use the fire pit, but we will the next time. Nicole was very accommodating, easy to talk to and really kind. We loved this property and will definitely return. Highly recommend.
