Enjoy the night sky with an ocean of constellations or spectacular thunderstorms. This home provides some of the absolute best views of Sunday Canyon. It has been a place of artistic inspiration, and now let it inspire you as well. Sunday Canyon is next to Palo Duro State Park, where you can zipline, horseback ride, picnic, hike and shop. Summer offers the musical "Texas" in the outdoor amphitheater.
13 miles from the city of Canyon. 26 miles from Amarillo. Lots of restaurants and shopping, including antique stores. The Panhandle Plains Museum is a must-see!
Additional sleeping arrangements include one portacrib/pack n play, one couch and two air mattresses.

This property was absolutely as advertised - an incredible view of the canyon, just minutes from Palo Duro State Park and the city of Canyon. We loved our short stay here - it had plenty of room, everything we needed, and some fun history to unpack as well! We would absolutely recommend this house for a fun family getaway!

Our stay was great! The view is fantastic. Bed was comfortable, house was clean. We had a couple of small mishaps. The garage door wouldn’t open and dishwasher was still loaded from previous guests. Want to give a heads up if you’re physically challenged. Lots of stairs to climb to get downstairs where the living room and kitchen is. We’re elderly it was difficult to carry luggage up & down the stairs. Beautiful place to spend peaceful and relaxing days!

The views from the back porch are simply stunning. We spent every morning watching the sunrise over the canyon. The house has beautiful, original paintings that are so appropriate to the house. Everything was as described, in clean and working condition. If we ever come back to this area, we’ll definitely stay again. Thanks!

Place was perfect. Better than we could have imagined. Loved the way the place was kept along with the ping pong table in the garage. That kept us busy. Then the views were amazing. Enjoyed everyone morning out there with some coffee.

Spectacular views of Palo Duro

We had a very nice stay. The house was stock full of everything you would need while vacationing and was clean, comfortable, cozy and had just enough space for my family of 5 and my brother's family of 3 but what made it super special was stepping outside to stunning views of Palo Duro canyon!! You can't beat those views just spectacular!

Beautiful, Iconic Location and House

This is a must-stay location in the Palo Duro area. The house is iconic and the views are spectacular. The original artwork and the decor in the house was an added plus. The facilities were perfect and the host was very helpful. I wish we had more time to stay. We will definitely plan on staying here again when we're in the area. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us!

Relaxing home

We enjoyed our stay Casa Del Sol. The view of Sunday Canyon was spectacular. The house was very welcoming, loved all the artworks. My husband enjoyed looking at the wildlife with the binoculars (wild hogs in the canyon).

The very best thing about this rental is the canyon view, stunning and awe inspiring! The house, which sits on the rim of the canyon, is a long-lived-in vintage home, clean and comfortable with amazing artwork. It has many lovely pieces of antique display furniture, too many in fact as far as having walking space in the main bedroom. The amazing main family room has very large viewing windows, comfortable furniture, a large gas fireplace and a gorgeous grand piano!Entry to the house is upstairs through the garage with the main level of the house downstairs. You definitely have to be able to negotiate stairs.PROS: View, view, view!!Minutes to Palo Duro Canyon State ParkSecure & privateClean & comfortableWell-stocked kitchenWrap-around porchBirds! Wow! What a great place! The views were AMAZING. At night, the moon was so bright that you didn’t even need a light. And sunrise over the valley was like from a magazine! The home was well kept up with and even having a few creature comforts was a nice surprise (WiFi, streaming, etc.) Also felt very safe with our daughter with the gate, and multiple locks, but it wasn’t even needed with how safe the neighborhood felt. Easily has the BEST spot for the canyon over anywhere else. And as an added bonus, the host was very responsive with any questions we had. Definitely will come back again.

Terrific getaway

The views from this property are incredible. We just sat on the outside deck and stared at the canyon for hours. The house also contained a lot of beautiful paintings. We were very comfortable, and I enjoyed playing the piano. Overall, it was a great stay.

Beautiful view overlooking the canyon!

The view off the deck did not disappoint - we saw the canyon lit up by lightening strikes, storm clouds roll over, and beautiful sunrises. We were especially grateful for the short drive back to the house after hiking to the Lighthouse formation.The house has everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the ping pong table.

The pictures don’t do it justice! The house reminded me off my childhood. My teenagers LOVED it!!! The views were insane. Clean, every detail thought out, & great communication with hosts! Highly recommend! We will be back!

Awesome Hiking

Besides the views, it was awesome to just climb down the side of the canyon and meet up with the lighthouse trail. 6 miles to lighthouse and back. It was an awesome.

The property was very easy to get to and upon arrival everything was was very clean and well kept! We received communication about access to the property and had no problems. The views were beyond amazing!! We especially loved the artwork and plan on purchasing some of Carl's art. We loved the privacy. We felt like we were in our own home. Very comfortable. It was a short drive to the Palo duro Canyon and we were blown away with the beauty of that special place. This was our first trip out west and staying here made it very special and added to our memories.
