An amazing place

This is the second time we have stayed at George and Anna’ house. As soon as we arrived we felt at peace. The house is in a perfect spot. An easy walk down to the beach. Highly recommended. 9/3/24.

Our wonderful beach house

9/15/21 My wife and I just had the pleasure of seeing in this wonderful beach house. Driving in Crete can be difficult but once we arrived we couldn't have been happier. the views from the rooftop terrace can't be beat. The beach and clear beautiful water led to hours of relaxation. I have to mention that the little restaurant run and named for the owner Marinella provided us with wonderful food every night. She went so far as to ask us what she could make for us. All together a great experiance. All I can say is go! Richard

Richard and his partner were fantastic guests. Communication was effortless and they were appreciative of our efforts to make their stay the best possible. They respected house rules to the “t” and left our home in great condition. We really wish more hosts are lucky enough to have them as guests.

Loved it!

We took the chance to book the place without reviews but fortunately we did not regret it. We really enjoyed the quiet, relaxing setting. We even swimmed although still in April since the weather was like summer. The place was superclean and tidy. Like said on the description it is a basic 1 bedroom and one sitting area cottage but equipped with even the smallest item a complete household needs. We spent most of our time either on the verandas gazing the sea or on the beach. There were very few people in the village this time of year so all beaches were reserved just for us. We felt like being on a private island! The last 4 km of the road to the village was still dirt but it is currently being paved with asphalt. We met the hosts on our way to the village. They were a lovely couple that welcomed us warmly and offered us homegrown produce, olive oil, raki and homemade pie that eventually reduced our need for supplies to the minimum. The location is ideal to get away from it all, relax and feel closer to nature. It is an interesting alternative experience from the crowded, noisy, industrialized touristic destinations of northern Crete. We’ll definitely come again.

Wir kamen Nachts an und haben es gut gefunden. Man stellt das Auto in der Nähe des Hauses ab . Die Tor ist weiss gestrichen. Die Küche ist richtig schön.Man kommt sich vor wie ein Kapitän.Es gibt fast überall Fliegengitter.Für 2 Personen ist es perfekt. Auf der oberen Terasse wäre ein kleiner Tisch schön und ein Tablett könnte vielleicht angeschafft werden. Es gibt sogar ein Brotmesser! Ich empfehle Nespresso Kaffemaschinen Kapseln mitzunehmen. Der Supermarkt hat jeden Tag auf , im Haus ist ein Kontaktgrill und Backofen zum Aufbacken. Freitag kam ein Auto mit Obst und Gemüse. Wir hatten Sturm , an die Geräusche die das Haus und Umbau macht gewöhnt man sich schnell. 50 Stufen zum Meer...herrlich

Jolie très petite maison

La maison, plutôt bien décorée est située au cœur du village (qui manque de charme et d’entretien) et à deux pas de la plage. Les 75 m2 indiqués comprennent les extérieurs (plus de la moitié de la surface) ce qui laisse peu d’espace à l’intérieur. Le lit double a pour seul sommier une planche de bois et chaque mouvement provoque des grincements. Communication plutôt tendue avec les propriétaires qui supportent mal les critiques. Bref un rapport prix/confort peu favorable.

Guests even from the first day complained for numerous things (that no one of our previous 170 guests ever mentioned in their reviews) in order to prepare the grounds for a refund that was never given to them. They even forced us to buy new kitchenware. They punished us for not refunding the booking fee by giving an unusually low rating. We wish their next hosts courage and patience to cope with the bad luck of having such guests.

Abseits vom Massentourismus

Wir verlebten eine schöne Zeit in diesem kleinen Ort am Meer. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr gut, auch noch vor Ort, dafür Danke. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, es fehlte uns an nichts. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse war phantastisch,hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen. Nach 62 Stufen ist man am Strand und kann ganz viel Platz geniessen. Die Restaurants am Strand sind auch zu empfehlen, wir wurden jeden Tag bekocht. Eine herrliche Zeit immer wieder gern. Viele Grüsse Carsten und Eike

Ein wundervoller Ort zum Entspannen

George und Anna sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Die Kommunikation hat reibungslos und unkompliziert funktioniert. Das Haus ist gut und liebevoll ausgestattet. Besonders die beiden Terrassen bieten eine hohe Aufenthaltsqualität. Hier kann man wirklich die Seele baumeln lassen. Es gibt ganz in der Nähe des Ortes tolle ruhige Strände, wo wir weitgehend für uns sein konnten. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und empfehlen das Haus weiter!

Tolles Haus in spezieller Umgebung

Das Haus ist richtig toll und super ausgestattet. Die vermieter sind jederzeit erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Der Ort ist klein und ziemlich abgelegen und nur über eine Serpentinenreiche Abfahrt zu erreichen. Im Ort gab es 3 Restuarants die aktuell geöffnet waren . Besonders zu empfehlen ist dabei die Taverne "O Gialos" wo man shr gut und günstig speisen kann. Die Chefin Maria ist auch sehr nett. Nachteil ist, dass es um diese Jahreszeit (November) keinen Supermarkt im Dorf gibt und man für jeden Einkauf knapp eine halbe Stunde fahren muss.

They go out of their way to welcome you!

Georges and Anna are wonderful hosts. they go out of their way to welcome you. the cottage is beautiful and very relaxing. the terrace is stunning if you enjoy a peaceful beer or wine soaking up the amazing sea views. the village is quiet and real.it s a great place for some amazing bird watching (golden eagle and vultures) the beaches practically deserted and very nice. if you want to escape from busy life and switch off we definitely recommend going to stay in George's and Anna's place.

This place is a real gem

This place is a real gem. George & Anna's house is located in the rugged terrain in southern Crete, far from all the touristic places but just one minute walk away from the nearest beach. It has everything you need to enjoy your holiday: equipped kitchen, beach necessities, showering gel/shampoo, and even home made raki and olive oil. George & Anna were so kind and prepared us with a welcome lunch since we arrived in the afternoon straight from the airport without having had any food. Communication was always quick and easy. You need a car to get here but it will be worth it. The landscape is incredibly beautiful and there are many beaches and hiking tracks to explore. Thank you so much for everything!

In this home we taste time and tide

The house is located in a marvellous area quiet ,beautifull, not crowded with people and where the residents are friendly. In this home we taste time and tide. We appreciate in this place to eat,to rest to swim , in a few words Happyness . In the house of George & Anna we were like home and we were with us likefriends. It 's a real place to discover the house and espacially Geoge & Anna so pricious !

All in all a fantastic stay

We had a lovely time at George & Anna's place it is beautifully situated in a quiet location and very tranquil. At the time we went April nothing was open, but George had informed us of this so we shopped prior to getting there so it was not a problem and we loved the peace and quiet. George and Anna are great hosts checking we were OK, but they allowed as much or little contact as we required. They very kindly provided us with supper on our arrival which was much appreciated as it had been a long day. They also left us provisions which was very kind. All in all a fantastic stay and I would thoroughly recommend George and Anna as hosts and the apartment as a great place to stay. Thanks again and we would love to come back.

Perfect home in a very special location

Perfect home in a very special location. We enjoyed very much all the smart details made with such appreciated fine taste. We had at our discretion everything we forgot to bring, like beach hats and other beach accessories. George and Anna welcomed us with warm food and raki::D and made everything very clear in a few words, the communication was flawless, and to be honest just like everything else. I can't think of one inconvenient , wes will definitely recommend this perfect home to all our friends. Thank you, George and Anna!

We loved every second of our stay here

Georgios and Anna's are wonderful hosts, and Treis Ekklisies is a very special place. We loved every second of our stay here. Their cottage is exceptionally well planned and laid out, without being fussy. The kitchen was clearly stocked by someone who likes to cook, as we do, including organic olive oil and vinegar. The hosts showed us around when we arrived, and left a meal of stuffed vegetables in the oven for us. They messaged every couple of days to see how we were. The beds are comfortable, the outdoor spaces are great places to eat, sit and chat or read. Marinela's Taverna on the beach (less than a minute's walk away) serves great food and the owners are lovely people. If you want a secluded spot, where you can swim, hike and relax, you will love it.

It was the highlight of our trip to Crete

Thank you George and Anna for sharing your beautiful home with us. We strongly recommend Treis Ekklesias for anyone looking to get away from the crowds and tourists in Chania and Heraklion. It was the highlight of our trip to Crete. We literally did nothing for four days except explore the surrounding beaches and read books on the roof. The home is clean, stocked with lots of amenities, and the bed very comfortable. George and Anna are gracious hosts and left us a tasty home cooked meal and a bottle of wine with chocolates to celebrate our honeymoon (thanks!). For those looking to cook dinner while traveling, the kitchen is very well equipped with supplies including spices and big jugs of homemade olive oil and raki - some of the best we had in crete, we finished it during our stay :P Note for future travelers: Definitely try to follow the hike to Paranifoi (it's hike #8 in the guidebooks that are in the bedroom). It's a hard hike with lots of elevation gain but you will be rewarded with amazing views along the way. Thank you again. We look forward to visiting Treis Ekklesias on our next trip to crete.

Don't hesitate to book this house !!

If you are looking for a relaxing trip, Don't hesitate to book this house !! The house is fantastic with a wonderful rooftop view on the sea (you can hear waves when you wake up the morning) and an enjoyable terrace! The house was quite enough big for us and fully equipped. Hosts, George and Anna, are lovely persons! They cooked for us a amazing local meal! All here if we have questions For sure I recommande it !!

People, this is one special place

People, this is one special place. Picture a gorgeous beach, with no one on it, and then multiply that for all the beaches around. Get in your car, navigate some admittedly tough roads, and be rewarded with some unmitigated gems. Agios Nikita, stand up! George and Anna are wonderful hosts, fully engaged, checking you are ok out there in the solitude of this village, leaving you a wonderful home-cooked meal. The house itself has everything you need for great outdoor living in a truly Cretan-greek village. If you want to get amongst it, away from the masses, this is the place to be.

Putting in words how clean and tidy these folks are seems an effort in vain since every attempt leads to an understatement. The way Peter & Melena left our house was not just flawless, it was like staging it for photo shooting! Most considerate guests so far, by far. Adding the pleasant aura they all radiated as a family and one can easily understand why we're already jealous of their next lucky hosts. It was an honor you have you guys, take care!

Hidden beaches and the exceptional nature!

The beautiful and lovely equiped house itself, the hammocks, the great shower, the comfortable bed, the view on the sea, hidden beaches and the exceptional nature, our stay in Tris Ekklisies was 100% amazing. If you look for a hidden paradise with lot's of places to explore, go there and enjoy!

Max and his girlfriend are an adorable couple full of positive energy. They needed nothing from us during their stay and hosting them was as easy as having no guests at all. As if all these were not enough, they left our home in a perfect condition from every aspect. Recommended rising both hands!

"Papa, maman, j'ai l'impression d'être au paradis"

Nous ne remercierons jamais assez George et Anna qui nous ont accueillis comme des rois dans leur petit coin de paradis. George est venu nous chercher pour nous guider jusqu'à sa maison. A notre arrivée dans les lieux, nous avons eu droit à plein de petites attentions qui nous ont beaucoup touchées : le raki et l'huile d'olive maison + un panier garni avec les fruits et légumes du jardin. Attendait également sur le lit de notre petite fille de 6 ans un cadeau de bienvenue spécialement pour elle. L'hospitalité crétoise prend vraiment tout son sens et nous avons vraiment eu l'impression de faire parti de la famille. Et que dire du logement, sinon ce que nous en a dit notre fille de façon très spontanée à son arrivée. "Papa, maman, j'ai l'impression d'être au paradis". Les photos parlent d'elles même... Et c'est encore mieux en vrai ! Nous n'avons regretté qu'une seule chose : devoir partir trop tôt.

Pascal, his lovely wife and their beautiful little princess are that special kind of people you don’t need to know for long to tell their quality. They’re easy to communicate, smiling, kind, appreciative and clean. They left our home in perfect condition and caused absolutely no problem at all. The apartment is absolutely adorable & beautiful!

George & Anna were amazing hosts! The apartment is absolutely adorable and beautiful - what else can you expect from two architects ;)! We were stunned by the nice welcome of our hosts - they even accompanied us to the village (went in front of us with the car, so we could drive confidently down the dirt road - that by the way will be asphalted soon). They even left us plenty of amazing homemade food for our stay! And of course the scenery of the landscape in and around Tris Ekklisies is absolutely fascinating. We hope we can be back soon!

Katharina and Patrick really impressed us with their attractive personality, their positive and pleasant attitude and their always smiling faces. Ein Monat in Treis Eklessies

Wir haben unseren heurigen Urlaub - von 29.7 - 26.8 in Treis Ekklissies im Haus von George und Anna verbracht. Das Dorf ist klein, ursprünglich und wunderschön. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an willkommen, was natürlich auch mit den hervorragenden Gastgebern zu tun hat: Anna und George. Sie empfingen uns mit einem selbstgemachten Essen und sorgten auch für Proviant für die ersten Tagen. Raki und selbstgemachtes Olivenöl standen auch für uns bereit. Ich möchte behaupten, was ich mir nach einem Monat erlaube, dass das Haus von George und Anna das schönste in der Gegend ist. Lage , Ausstattung und Atmosphäre sind perfekt. Mini Market und drei Tavernen sorgten für das leibliche Wohl. Wir sind als Gäste gekommen und als Freunde abgereist!
