We spent the majority of our time, playing games at the big kitchen table, catching up with family around the lake view deck and playing in the pool. The driveway is concrete and long and wide enough to set up a portable pickleball court. The property made for a wonderful family vacation!

House needs a Deep Clean inside and out, Gas Grill has never been cleaned, Refrigerator missing shelves, limited kitchen supplies and no oven mitts or kitchen towels.

Thank you for your feedback. The grill available for guest use is cleaned regularly, and the built-in grill is marked as unavailable and scheduled for removal. The kitchen is stocked with tools, towels, and oven mitts. As the home is in a wooded area near the lake, bugs can accumulate quickly. We’re always happy to help during a stay, and wish we had the opportunity to assist with any questions or concerns.

We greatly enjoyed staying at this house. The host made it super easy in all areas. The house has an abundance of amenities from the kitchen to the entertainment room. Our large family (4 couple with children) had plenty of private space to enjoy which made it a successful gathering.

Great for our group

We loved staying here for the weekend. We used the pool a lot, it was awesome. Heated to about 82 degrees. There were just enough beds for our large group. Plenty of towels and linens. Lots of different places to hang out. We'd come back for sure.

Family Fun

Property was comfortable and accommodated our family (ages 3-62) nicely. It was a very hot few days during our stay. The pool and air conditioned game room sure came in handy. The kids caught lots of fish off the dock, which was nice.

O'Malley Vacation-Twin Lakes

Our entire family of 16 had a wonderful time at the house. The game room was a real hit with the kids and the pool was excellent. Deanna, our property manager, checked in with us every day to make sure everything was good. She is a wonderful lady and we enjoyed working with her. We hope to visit again. Thank you!

Annual Special Olympic Trip

12 to 14 of us take a yearly trip with our special needs adult children. This property had all the room we needed, great game room and wonderful pool. While we had a beautiful view of the lake it was about two blocks away. That would be the only negative. We had a great time!

This was a great vacation spot for us. There were 19 of us and plenty of room. The property and house were both clean upon arrival. The code for the front didn’t work upon check in but they fixed it immediately when I called. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, utensils. There was enough dishwasher pods for the whole week. We brought up our own garbage bags and used them so I recommend bringing a box. We were lacking kitchen towels though so we used our bath hand towels to dry dishes. One thing to note, one of the bedrooms on the main floor is very tiny. No closet, no dresser and no room for your suitcase so that was a bit of a challenge. The photos on the VRBO show a dresser so whoever stays in that room needs to put their suitcase/bag in the front foyer area maybe? We were within walking distance to some of the local bars. We found a volleyball net and pickleball courts at nearby Legion Park. The thermostat kept going up to 76-78 degrees though. We weren’t sure if our own family members were doing it and not fessing up to it or if it was programmed that way but a few nights we were uncomfortably hot. The pool water was chilly at 83 degrees. We tried to get it warmer but it never went above 83. If we had hotter weather for the week, I’m sure the water temp would have been fine. I will definitely come back to this property. I highly recommend it and the owners were very easy to work with.

Family Away Wedding stay

We needed a place to stay for our son's wedding in Illinois to hold 20 family members. This home is beautiful and spacious, with a beautiful floor plan allowing you some privacy while never being away from the action. The kitchen is spacious and the center of the home. The window views are amazing! The location was perfect with a beautiful lake view, and a small neighborhood for walking. We had a great time!

Great home and property!

I would make sure you confirm the house check in and out times on the listing was not what they expected. We were rushed out in the morning because they had an early check in and cleaning was there.

Nice pool and game room but needs updating.

Pool was great and nice views of the lake but photos were misleading. A walk to the pier and lake not right there and the canoe was fully of moldy water and kayaks were flimsy. The kids enjoyed the game room. The house itself was dated and needs some renovating

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It was very spacious for our family with 11 adults & 6 kids. The layout of the kitchen/dining room was perfect for large family meals. The heated pool was very clean and we spent most of our days in the water. The game room is separated from the house above the garage which was perfect for our group. The adults could go hang out there after the kids went to bed. The property manager checked in on us multiple times to see if we needed anything. Overall, a great stay & we’d definitely return in the future. Only tip would be to pack extra bug spray as there were a lot of mosquitoes (which is to be expected when you’re right near a lake and we had some rain.)

some all it chaos our family calls it family vacation

We started with a few minor glitches, which were resolved by the next day. The pool was large, could have been a little cleaner. The kitchen was very large, but lacking a few cooking items which we had to bring from home. The view of the lake was spectacular, unfortunately the may flies were all over the patio windows. The king bed in the basement had a noise issue, every time you rolled over or moved on the bed it sounded like crinkling plastic. We had ages from 2 to 82, Overall we enjoyed the home and property and would stay again.

Loved it

Our family of 16 had a wonderful stay at this property. Well stocked kitchen, gorgeous view, unbelievably clean and large pool. Lots of chairs inside and outside. Lots of places to sleep and hang out. We will definitely consider going back. They provided lots of chairs and beach towels and 2 refrigerators. The dock area is about a 1 block walk and i wasn’t sure how to find it but it’s the only dock with no house on the property and 4 places to sit. We rented a pontoon and got on and off at the dock for a fun day of boating. If you walk to the dock you’ll want to use the street to get there. The game room is brand new and a super fun hangout area for teens. We really appreciate being able to bring our well behaved dog. We had one small maintenance issue and got answers and results immediately. Wonderful property!!

Lovely place for Family Gathering

My family picked this place for our biennial family gathering which included 19 people this year. The place was spacious, lots of places to gather as family and good privacy. We were able to accommodate everybody comfortably. The place was wonderful, Dee, the manager, was very responsive, the pool was great and we would consider re-renting this place in two years. Of note, we did use the cottage but the water to the cottage had a strong fetid smell and my family staying there could not use the shower or sink because the odor was too strong. The manager attempted to fix it but was unsuccessful, and the owner refused any reimbursement. The lake was a touch of a walk but the pool made up for it. Lastly, the HVAC unit is located in the basement, and in order to keep the top floor at a comfortable temperature, the basement gets very cold. Whoever plans on sleeping in the rooms down there should enjoy the cold or bring extra blankets.

A beautiful home but many issues

The home was beautiful but upon our arrival it was obvious the in-ground pool was unusable. Deanna was very responsive to our issues but the issues were unable to be addressed quickly. The home switched owners about 5 months ago and it is my opinion the new owner is unresponsive and only interested in the money he hopes to make. He did end up coming to the house and we were able to give him a list of the issues we found in the house and the pool. I hope I’m wrong and he brings this house back to its original beauty!
