Fantastic property!

Clean and welcoming! All must haves were provided. Close driving proximity to many attractions. If in the area again this is our "go to" property.

Fantastic vacation home

This property was great. Close to gorgeous beach. Walk to stores, restaurants and coffee. Clean and updated. Home had everything we could possibly need. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Great house, terrific hosts

My sons and I had a wonderful stay at Peter and Christine's house in Manomet. The house is comfortable, well appointed, and conveniently located to shops and restaurants. It is a 5 minute walk to a private beach and a 20 minute drive to downtown Plymouth. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!

Family friendly stay

This property was recently updated and was great in the summer heat with the central AC. There was a heat wave that came through the week we were there and it was great to have a space to cool down. We were there for a week with our family for a reunion so it was the perfect spot for all of us to gather. The owners were great in communicating on every end and was available when needed. We would book this house again and would suggest it to any family!

Comfortable, clean and convenient!

An overdue review... Christine and Peter's home was perfect for our trip back East to visit family at Christmas time. Grocery store, liquor store, coffee right up the street and a great restaurant, 42 Degrees North, where we ate three times. The house had everything we needed and felt warm and inviting. The home is decorated quite nicely and the beds were comfortable. Peter and Christine were great! Answered any questions we had before arrival. Easy check in and out. We will have to stay here again in the warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor area and the beach that is at the end of the street. Highly recommend staying here!

Family vaca to Boston area

I would just like to say....WOW! what a fantastic property to stay at and such gracious hosts, Peter and Christine were awesome to deal with, they answered any and all questions we had including giving advice on some very nice eateries. The house is better then the pictures show, the house is on a nice corner lot that is private in the back for cookouts or just sitting out and reading a book. The beach is only a 5 minute walk down the road (2 minutes on scooter for kids) and the beach itself is beautiful. Be sure to bring all the items you need for the day down as it is 114 steps (my 7 year old counted) to the bottom. The kitchen in fully stocked with utensils and cook ware for making meals at the house. Overall it was a great experience and I can tell the love they have for the house as they are continuing to update with a new front porch that looks amazing. Thank you again for opening this up to us and allowing us to stay at your home.

Great for families

The cottage met all of our expectations and more. We were 4 adults and 5 children and had more than plenty of space not to step on each others. I would say the cottage is bigger than what it appears on the pictures. It is clean and well maintained. The owners are very helpful and respond quickly to any questions. They are also very generous in the sense that they provide a lot of things that other cottages do not. The neighborhood is delightful. Just take a walk or have a little run in the morning is wonderful. The beach is nice... even though at first sight it doesn't seem that way. The kids realized they could collect many different sea lifeforms. Though I would suggest a pair of water shoes (2 kids cut their feet). This region is full of things to do. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Plimoth Plantation. And a trip to Boston is easy and worth it... The restaurants on the wharf in Plymouth are great. We only stayed a week... which was not enough! Plymouth itself with its history, the cottage neighborhood and the beach... Everything was wonderful! We would definitely recommend this cottage!

Plymouth family reunion

Spent a lovely week with our daughters and son in law. The location was great. The amenities were excellent - finished basement with ping pong, outdoor patios and - best of all - front porch. The nearby beach was also a popular focal point. Central air would have made the stay more pleasant as the week was quite hot and humid. Overall, an excellent stay.

Lovely House Convenient to All Things Pilgrim

We spent a week at this lovely house so that we could show our two children the history of the Pilgrim Experience in MA. We used if for day trips in the immediate Plymouth area, and then to Boston, Provincetown and Fall River. The house was a well appointed base for operations and lovely to come home to at the end of our day of touring, whether just to sit on the front porch or wander down to the secluded beach a the base of the cliffs. The kitchen was well supplied with tools for almost all cooking needs. We didn't have time for using the grill in the peaceful patio garden. The shed is well stocked with good condition beach equipment including beach toys for younger children and a large cooler. The owner was quite attentive to us via text during arrival and departure. Our only regret is that we didn't schedule just one day of downtime to just relax at this very relaxing house.

A great spot!

We had a great stay at Manomet. The house was really nice. It had a great open layout for families. There was a room with bunks, which worked great for our kids. We loved sitting on the front porch after a day at the beach. It was a really nice spot to relax. The location near the beach was great. Just a short walk to the stairs. There are a lot of stairs, as mentioned in other reviews. So if you have any physical impairments, keep that in mind. The owners were very responsive and super helpful! We had a great vacation and would definitely stay there again

Fantastic spot

The owners were very responsive to a few questions we had. The house is just down the street the ocean. I took my coffee with me a few times to greet the day. The front porch was my favorite spot to relax. Very clean and welcoming. Great area to bike and walk. I’d do it again!

Spacious Seaside Escape

Christine and Peter‘s house was clean, bright, and inviting. It had everything that we needed… Made the week so easy to entertain and cook for my daughter, her friends, and family that dropped in to visit! The two full modern, clean, newly renovated bathrooms with double sinks were so appreciated. The private beach at Manomet Bluffs is a block away, no crowds all week and weekend, and breathtakingly beautiful. Peter and Christine made us feel welcome before we even got there through several online contacts. Everything you would need from coffee to ice cream to gas to ice is a block away also! Great place to ride bikes and explore Or just enjoy the beach every single day that you can! We spent a lot of time chilling on the front porch, where you can eat meals, play cards or read. Was an excellent getaway, but very private, beautiful and accommodating during these crazy times… Cannot recommend this spacious, clean and well stocked house enough! Thank you Peter and Christine so much for the wonderful vacation, much needed seaside escape and beautiful house!

Perfect family vacation

This was my first experience renting a house for vacation. I must say, I don't think I could have picked a better house/location. The neighborhood was very quiet, but just a short walk down the road was everything needed. The pictures online were beautiful, but when you walk into the house the pictures do not do it justice. We used the front porch on a daily basis. In the morning to sit with coffee, listen to the birds, and watch the squirrels and bunny run around. The back yard was great also. The beach was very nice. We enjoyed the sand, picking through the rocks, and the guys enjoyed a little surf fishing. My husband was undecided about going on vacation, but when it came time to leave, he stated he could have stayed another week. The kids enjoyed everything also and did not want to leave. The owners, Peter and Christine, were very easy to get reach out to with questions. Definitely a hidden gem.

Close to beach and comfortable house and outdoor spaces

The house if comfortable has great gathering spaces, indoors and outdoors. The porch, patio and fire circle spaces are a great places to relax. The beach is a short walk (though many stairs down) and not at all crowded. We had a wonderfully peaceful stay. Hosts were readily available to answer questions.

Beautiful home secluded but close to beach and short drive to town

We loved our vacation in this home. It is spacious, clean and decorated beautifully. We found everything we needed to enjoy the home, the beach, the out of doors and the area. We enjoyed its secluded but accessible location, the short walk to the beautiful beach, and reasonable drive to Plymouth and the Cape. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the home to anyone looking to stay in the Plymouth area.

Nice House for Quality Family Vacation.

Our family of 5 adults and 2 toddlers stayed for a week. The house is exceptionally well equipped with all you could need plus yoga mats, beach towels , beach chairs, umbrellas and toys. We appreciated the room air-conditioners on a couple of humid days. Very clean and updated. Some people did not like the smell in the basement. Nice covered deck and yard for kids. Very good location for access to area and grocery, liquor store, restaurants and dollar store within walking distance. We knew there were a lot of steps to the beach before we came and went to other beaches. The adults went down a few times but we didn't take the toddlers down. They really enjoyed the splash park in Plymouth. We would rent again except for the non-refiundable depot for cancellations and the requirement to purchase damage insurance. I would rather pay a refundable deposit.

Perfect!

Our August stay exceeded our expectations! Home was the perfect blend of beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Fully stocked is an understatement. Both bathrooms appear to be recently remodeled which was a fun surprise. The owners were very responsive when we had questions during our stay. We chose Plymouth and specifically this house in order to avoid the Cape Cod traffic and beach parking nightmare. The private beach was heavenly. There were several very large family gatherings around us and everyone was very friendly and respectful. Our kids enjoyed climbing the rocks, looking for crabs and playing in the water. Water shoes are a must since the beach was rocky at the water line however there was plenty of soft sand at the top of the beach, even during high tide. I'm sure the rock situation may change year to year or storm to storm but we were pleased during our stay. We were prepared for the ~ five flights of stairs to the beach, but were surprised that each landing had a bench to catch your breath. I definitely recommend packing up but leaving your beach chairs, toys, umbrellas at the beach at the end of the day as Christine and Peter suggested. We waited until Thursday to do so and I so wish we had done it sooner - total game changer. We hope to come back again in future years!

doesn t get any better

this home is a dream rental immaculate/modern amenities/easily could accomadate families of 6-8/5minute walk to stopandshop..pizza sandwiches ice cream liquor store one block walk to private beach we cooked out 6/7 nites..fish market 6 minute drive.we killed the lobster steamers sword.etc we cant get fresh fish in phoenix..Pete left a cold beer for me I played it foreward upon departure. when we saw the framed coat of arms of the Casey and Tobin families we knew 2 things we were in good hands and Pete had married up. upon departure my special needs daughter commented can we stay for 2 weeks next year

Ideal property and location for a great vacation.

We spent three weeks on holiday (vacation) from the UK. The house is in a great location, close to private beach, shops, restaurants and places of interest. Nearby Plymouth a lovely town to chill and take boat to Provincetown. The house is very well equipped and the garden ideal for barbecuing and provides shade on hot days. Owners very helpful. Any minor issues quickly sorted via email and telephone calls. Neighbours also helpful. Loved local towns such as Sandwich and Chatham as well as easy access by train to Boston. Though a couple of hours journey, a trip to Portsmouth, New Hampshire is worth it and especially for the Strawberry Bank outdoor museum. Definitely recommend.

Cozy cottage

This cozy beautiful cottage was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The owners were very helpful answering all our queations. We felt right home. The house was well equipped with kitchen supplies. Everything you need was right there in the house. The backyard has serveral chairs to sit and relax and enjoy the ocean breeze. It was caterpillar season for the week that we were there so we didn't get to enjoy sitting outside. There is a 2 min walk to the bluff. Which has a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean from the bluff. Beware that there are several steps going down to the beach. We a had a great time in Manomet. Overall I recommend this cozy cottage to all and we would definitely come back to Manomet again. Thank you Peter and Christine!!!!
