Smukke havnefront hjem med dybt vand dock på Onota Lake

Vores 3 soveværelser, 2 badeværelser hjem har en enorm 3-sæson solværelse på anden sal med et endnu større overdækket dæk nedenfor. Stueetagen har køkken, to soveværelser, stue, solrummet og et badekar. Den nederste etage har et stort familieværelse med to sæt skyder på dækket plus et andet soveværelse og et komplet badekar med tøjvask og tørretumbler. Ejendommen har også en stor, dybt vand dock til din båd. Ugentlig leje er lørdag til lørdag.

Dette hus ligger på den smukke Onota-sø i hjertet af Berkshires. Fantastisk til vandsport, kajaksejlads, fiskeri eller bare se på solnedgange. Minutter væk finder du også skiløb (Bousquet, Jiminy Peak), mountainbiking, vandreture, levende teater (Barrington Stage, Shakespeare og Company, The Colonial Theatre), golf (mere end 5 inden for 15 min), vandland (Bousquet), fuglereservat (Audobon).

Our experience with this rental was excellent. Due to being a last minute rental we couldn’t have been more pleased. A scheduled cottage was cancelled last minute by host. Our grandchildren and family particularly enjoyed the sun room and covered deck. The house was decorated extremely to my liking. It was very clean upon arrival. The hardest part was washing the bedding before checkout at 11.Anything we needed was available. The lake was enjoyable and we did lots of swimming and kayaking. Would highly recommend this place.

We love the deck and sun room with their excellent waterfront views. There's ample room around the dock for mooring the kayaks, plus paddleboards and swim mat. Great place for kids.

Wonderful stay at the Lake

We had a wonderful stay at the lake. Bobs place was as described. We were 5 adults and a toddler. There was plenty of space for everyone. The sun room with the view of the lake was great! The two fireplaces were helpful and cozy as we got some snow during our April visit. We’d absolutely stay here again. Thanks Bob!!

Beautiful Lake House

Loved our stay on Shore Drive on Onota Lake. The house has a fabulous layout with two porches, one enclosed, facing the lake and nearby green mountains. Two floors with ample space for a family to spread out, comfy beds, and well equipped kitchen.

Great little spot

House was beautiful!! Plenty of space and it was nice letting the kids be downstairs in their own space. Close to stores, 10-15 minutes to to the main part of Pittsfield.

The house was fantastic!! Exactly as advertised. The house was clean, everything worked. We had a little problem but Bob was almost instantly accessible and it was fixed quickly, no muss, no fuss. We will definitely come back as we had a great week.

Wonderful Lake House

Great location on the lake, we enjoyed eating meals on the enclosed deck and watching rowing practice in the evenings. The house was well appointed! My wife and I were staying with our daughter, son-in-law and their 14 month old. It worked wonderfully for us. They enjoyed taking a kayak out on the lake while we stayed with our granddaughter. All in all, a delightful experience!

Summer Visit Even Better!!

We had visited this gorgeous house for several days in the winter and just HAD to come back for a summer stay of seven days. The house was very clean both times, Bob was very helpful and answered all of my questions. There were plenty of towels, linens, water activities/equipment and a beautiful lake to enjoy just steps away. We brought a pontoon boat that just added to the fun and took advantage of the dock. Great place to visit, but would be even better to LIVE there:)

Lake house end of summer getaway

My family of 3 plus extended family of 5 had a lovely stay at the lake house. The house is located on the the best part of Lake Onota, and had plenty of space for all us. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding (our own personal SUP that we brought with us), and sitting by the fire at the edge of the water. The house was clean and organized just as described. Centrally located, so short trips to Mt Greylock, Williamstown, North Adams (Mass MoCA), or Lenox (the Mount, Tanglewood) , are easy. The Owner responded to my questions promptly. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay!

The property has a great location - right on the lake and centrally located with easy access to Williamstown, Great Barrington, Stockbridge, various waterfalls, etc. The highlight of the house is the big screen porch overlooking the lake. The 2 kids each had their own set of bunkbeds, so no fighting over top bunk. The downstairs patio and lawn area are also really nice. There are 4 kayaks you can take out on the lake - the morning is the best time, before it gets choppy. I highly recommend bringing or renting bikes and riding the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, which runs through North Adams, Adams and Pittsfield. Beautiful trail and very kid-friendly. You can rent bikes from Berkshire Outfitters in Adams, right near the trail.

seating issues

I loved the house. My only complaint was on the porch the table chairs were too tall, and the wicker furniture was too low. At 76 my legs swell when they dangle off hard seats, and then it was terribly hard for me and my elderly friends to heave ourselves up off of the wicker couch and chairs. Other than that it was great.

Thanksgiving Family Gathering 2025

We had a fabulous weekend. I rent a place in different areas every year for my family. We loved the area. It was our first time visiting the Berkshires and will definitely return some. We hiked to Laura's Tower with the grand kids. We had a little snow, the kids built a snowman in the yard. We decorated ugly sweater cookies. Everyone had a wonderful time. The only very minor criticism was there was no laundry detergent, two rolls of toilet paper, small amount of dish soap which we had no problem with purchasing our own had we known in advance. It's the only rental I've ever been to that the beds were not made and was asked to wash and dry all towels and sheets prior to leaving at 11:00 am. Difficult to do without detergent. Otherwise it is a wonderful home, a great area, fabulous trip!! I would highly recommend!!

Amazing views of the lake

A simply stunning sun porch looking out over the lake. It warms up nicely when the sun shines in the fall since you are facing south. I love the heated floor in the bathroom. The master bed is a little soft for me, But the other bed was perfect—plenty of covers and pillows. The laundry worked perfectly. The kitchen is stocked with all kinds of cooking utensils but not food, ditto fridge, so make sure you do your shopping. Check-out requires leaving it clean, so if you have a large group, this might be a problem, but we were just two folks. A dock and kayaks are available. I bought a sit-on kayak because the kayaks are pretty low quality. The lake in the fall was very peaceful, but some jet skis came out one day, so perhaps it isn't so idyllic in the summer. I would come back in the fall in a heartbeat. I had a wonderful 6-week stay.

Bare Bones, no amenities. Bring your supplies!

We stay in many rentals across the USA so we're put back when there were no basic needs available in this rental. Warning, they have the artificial smelling plug in's all over the house. It was so strong 2 of us had headaches. We unplugged all of them in the house upon arrival. No hairdryer, extra toilet paper, extra paper towels, saran wrap, foil, sugar and more. No rolling pin (we made apple pie) and borrowed from a neighbor. We went to the store first thing in the AM to gather supplies we assumed would be available. They ask you to clean your dishes but left no dishwasher liquid/pods. Our beds weren't made when we arrived and we got in very late which was a bummer. The check out rules state you are to wash your linens and put them back on your bed folded. We left at 5am so that was not an option and I found a very odd request. The bottom room has a LOUD de-humidifier that didn't do much to help the smell. The room is damp smelling all the time. We didn't spend any time down there. The lighting is very low. We moved lights from the bedrooms to play games at night. Now for the positive, the view is great. We loved waking up and having coffee in the sun room. We loved being with our friends so the trip was very good. I would not rent this again basically because we like to cook and entertain on vacation. Plus, we flew in from the West coast and need to have our rentals include the basics.

Tired home with noise across the lake

Would I stay here again? No. Not for that price. But to be fair, let me start with what's good about the place and then get into why I gave it a 3 star rating instead of 4 or 5. It's a cute home that would nicely accommodate a second family downstairs or even 4-6 kids in the 3rd "bunk bed" bedroom. Lots of kids' life vests, water toys and board games - and an abundance of towels including swimming towels - no shortage there. Pretty mornings in August with a beautiful lakefront view. The mallards, canada geese and occasional heron along with the chattering sparrows that live on the property are a lovely reminder of nature's harmony. However, the reasons I would not rent this place again for the price they charge are numerous, but mainly because it was not the peace and quiet and serenity I was hoping for in the Berkshire mountains. I don't think the owner stays here with any regularity, or he would have repaired things that are broken: - broken stove burner - broken ironing board - broken kayak seat - Internet router in basement cuts out at least 3 times when streaming a 90 minute movie.... (is it out? wait maybe not, give it a minute. Nope, it's definitely out. OK let me reset the TV - 3 times!!) - kitchen garbage disposal smelly and doesn't have a switch - broken vertical blinds throughout the house - guest bedroom blinds don't cover the whole window so neighbor's spotlight shines in window at night - nightlight bulbs burned out - no replacements - seat of patio chairs on lower porch are sunken and paint chips come off on your arm - garage door handle lock is broken - smelly couch cushions - filthy master bedroom carpet - Next door neighbor's stereo blasted on level 10 literally all-day with their windows open - finally on 2nd day we mentioned it and they stopped - NO nightstands or reading lamps in master bedroom - furniture that doesn't fit the room - I've never stayed at a place without nightstands except in Guatemala - kitchen was disorganized with no paring knives or vegetable peelers (these are basic items if you happen to cook) - the biggest worst problem is Camp Winadu directly across the lake - a boys camp of about 120 boys with activites that involve yelling, loud club music, a bullhorn, chanting and singing that begins at 8AM and sometimes doesn't end until 10PM at night - the noise travels directly across the water Noisy families with lots of kids might like this place, but we did not (for the price).

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay and also sorry we weren’t made aware of the issues during your stay to resolve them. Any opinions aside, which are valid for you as a guest I did confirm the following: all burners on the stove are working and the garbage disposal doesn’t have a switch as the cover is the switch ( we are adding an explanation in the house instructions). The bed in the master is placed at an angle for a full view of the lake from bed which does mean the nightstand is not next to it ( personal preference). We do fully stock the utensils and kitchen, however things do disappear and we replace them as needed ( I did confirm there is a vegetable peeler). The kayak seats were all ok ( another guest may have “fixed” a loose strap. Etc etc. The main reason for the response from us is for our neighbor. He has been an excellent neighbor since they day we moved in, letting our family and our renting families use his floating dock, and always ready to help out. If he had been made aware that his music was bothering anyone I have no doubt he would have turned it down. To validate our guest’s point, if you are looking for quiet night AND day, this may not be the rental for you. If you enjoy the sounds of summer during the day, then it probably is. Thanks.

The lake views and access are great. The neighbors are kind and friendly. The house has AC which was key for one of the hottest weeks on record and not a guarantee in NE.

Our family has spent the last 20 years enjoying Onota lake. We love it so much we decided to purchase a home on it. We plan on building many memories here and invite you and your family to do the same.

From the moment we walked into the large sun room on the second floor we knew this was the house. With it's 180 degree view of the lake and Berkshire Mountains there is no place better to be, unless of course you want to enjoy the huge covered deck right beneath it.
