We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the well-appointed, comfortable, and wonderfully located cottage. We traveled to Carlsbad for a family wedding—and in between wedding festivities we loved walking the beach (located across the street and down 3 flights of stairs) and dining and shopping in the darling town of Carlsbad. A true gem!

Great location, love the vibe of the house, lovely views. My family felt comfortable and relaxed here. The kitchen is well stocked. Since it’s an older house, outlets were at a premium. About 30 seconds after pulling out of the driveway, my 18yo asked “when are we coming back” so you know it was good.

The minute we did an initial tour of the home and outdoor space we knew this place was a very homey and comfortable fit for our stay. The owner was immediately responsive when as senior travelers we couldn't figure tv remotes. She came by at a time of our wish and got us on track.

Carlsbad House

The house was clean with a well stocked kitchen and functioning bbq. Host was very responsive and helpful. It is on a busier road so traffic noise is a thing

The property has been remodeled nicely. Everything was comfortable, making for a great stay. The two minute beach was a rocky surfer beach, not a place to spend the day. However, it was just a 15 minute walk north to a nice beach. It was great to have ample beach towels, boogie boards, and an umbrella to take with. The host responded quickly to all questions.

We loved this home for our Carlsbad stay. The home was very well appointed with supplies. The kitchen was great for cooking and yard was great for us to entertain local friends. This was one of the cleanest homes we’ve ever rented! We’ll definitely be returning!

Comfy cozy beach house

Our stay was very comfortable and perfect for our wedding weekend in Carlsbad. The location is awesome with a small view of the ocean and close to everything you need! The house was clean, comfy cozy, and had everything we needed. Some of the wall outlets weren’t working but other than that it was absolutely perfect! The host was responsive and accommodating! Definitely would recommend and stay here again!

Great beach getaway

This house was very comfortable for our family of six. Beds were firm with nice bedding and pillows. Private fenced back yard with lovely foliage. Quick walk to small beach across street or beach walkway to Carlsbad. Kitchen was well fitted for cooking with quality pans. I would definitely recommend this VBRO!

Fabulous spot in Carlsbad

First things first, the house was great! Good location and perfectly outfitted for our family. Appreciated the beach chairs and such especially! Loved sitting in the chairs out front, everyone walking (or biking) by was so friendly! From the description i thought we had access to the private beach but evidently not. The beach was still pretty close. Carlsbad is one of our favorite spots and we will be back!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay, and I apologize for any confusion regarding the beach access. Just to clarify—there are two entrances to the beach near our property. One is reserved for local homeowners and isn’t accessible to vacation rental guests, but the other entrance, which is actually closer to our property, is open and not gated. Both lead to the same beautiful stretch of beach, especially when the tide is out. During high tide, parts of the beach can be harder to reach because the water comes right up to the cliffs. However, at low tide, you can explore miles of coastline in both directions, including amazing tide pools full of marine life that are definitely worth visiting. We’re so happy to share this peaceful, off-the-beaten-path spot with our guests and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Carlsbad Gem

This home is in a perfect location, a short drive or bike ride to Carlsbad town center and a walk to the beach. Very well taken care of and decorated inside with everything you need, including beach chairs, towels, etc. The backyard is fenced with lush landscape. A perfect oasis for relaxing. With 3 bedrooms, this is perfect for a couple’s getaway or family vacation. The owner was on top of things immediately with communication and made our stay a great experience. We will definitely seek to stay here again in the future.

Cute Beach House

This beach house had all of the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Charming remodel of an older home that retains the coziness and vibe of the area. The wood ceiling and lovely backyard patio were especially charming. Appreciated the supply of bottled water. We were a bit concerned that the traffic from Highway 1 would be distracting, but it never proved to be an issue. I would highly recommend this VRBO.for those who are looking for a place with character and charm

This property near Carlsbad was very comfortable and well-equipped. There were several beach chairs and boogie boards available for use. The beds and sofa were comfortable. The backyard was beautiful and the patio quiet and nicely landscaped with a huge tree giving lots of shade. There wasn't much of a beach view, but it was within a few minutes' walk to beautiful beach views in either direction. There weren't any grocery stores nearby, so if you plan on cooking in, remember to go shopping before you arrive. Parking was a little difficult because you need to back in from a busy steet up a hill to be able to safely exit the drive when leaving -- there is a lot of bike and car traffic on Carlsbad Boulevard. Tamar was very communicative throughout the process and was flexible with allowing dogs at her place. I recommend this beach stay!
