While we did overall still enjoy our stay, there were multiple things that really disappointed us.First time pulling into the driveway, we immediately noticed trash surrounding the cabin. EVERYWHERE. They did not have a bear proof trashcan outside, just a plastic can that was broken and held together by bunjee cords. We then found out that we were expected to either keep the trash in the cabin for our whole stay (3 nights) or call someone to come get it. While I obviously am aware that many properties have maintence help, I would have loved to been informed that there were other people who had access to the cabin as it was not disclosed until we saw a note left behind on the table. This is frustrating not only for safety reasons, but also simple communication. The hand soap &conditioner/shampoo that were advertised as provided were just empty bottles filled up with water. There was zero extra toilet paper or paper towels, we had to purchase things that not only were stated provided, but basic supplies that would be handy somewhere as simple as a gas station. There was also trash shoved under the bed, including a vape. The dishwasher was also broken, based off of other reviews has been for a long time so very confused on why we can't just be honest. All in all, it was a beautiful area, just barely maintained or cared about, which is sad. The host was easy to get ahold of and listened to all of my concerns, but I doubt any changes will be made. Our mountains deserve better.
