Great location. Our dog, Marco loved it and we very much enjoyed the screened in porch. Great place for rest and relaxation but also close to all the shops and restaurants for good food and walking.

Perfect Weekend Getaway with our Pup

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Three Arbors Butlers Quarters. The 1 bed 1 bath was just enough for the two of us and our dog, but the space that made this rental special was the covered patio. We spend 90% of the time we were actually in the house out there hanging with the dog, listening to music, and people watching (it’s just far enough from restaurants where it’s not too loud but close enough for plenty of passersby). It was clean and cozy and we would definitely stay here again.

The location of the house was really nice, everything was walkable. There is no designated parking for this rental, however, and street parking was really difficult if you left for the day and came back during busy hours, especially on the weekend. It also seems the house is split in half and the other half is used as a rental- they get designated parking with a driveway and it was really easy to hear them through the walls. Overall, it was a nice place. I’m just not sure I would stay here again for the price we paid.

We’re so happy you loved the location and took full advantage of being just steps away from downtown’s best restaurants, boutique shops, and local art galleries. To help our guests plan accordingly, we make sure to explicitly state in our listing description that this historic home is a duplex and that this unit relies on street parking. While street parking during peak weekend hours can require a little extra patience if you leave and return mid-day, the major benefit of this location is that once you secure your spot, you can comfortably leave your car parked for your entire stay. Everything downtown has to offer is truly right outside your front door. We appreciate your feedback and thank you again for staying with us!

BEWARE OF A.I.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not great. Website definitely used A.I. for the rooms as it is NOT this light inside. We left two days early as the fold out couch bed and the main bed were quite old and uncomfortable. Shower is so tiny my wife had difficulty shaving her legs and she's a small woman. Chain got stuck on the toilet so had to fix that. Toaster didn't work so had to use oven. Nice washer/dryer combo. Very good location within a couple of blocks of downtown. We're in our late 60s and are used to nicer digs.

Given how much we enjoyed putting together those local coffee, dining, and event recommendations for you and your dog before you arrived, and chatting with you over the phone midway through your stay to help out, it breaks our hearts to learn that the overall comfort of the space fell so short for you. We also want to clarify that we do not use AI for any of our property photos; all images on our website are authentic photos of the actual rooms. That said, we took your feedback seriously—our team was in the space the day you departed to fix the toilet chain and replace the toaster, and we are currently evaluating the mattresses and lighting to ensure future guests have a better experience. We appreciate you chatting with us during your visit and bringing these details to our attention. We wish you and your pup the absolute best on your future travels.

Pet friendly home near downtown Saugatuck. Perfect for a short weekend getaway and we were so happy they allowed dogs. Screened in porch, cozy living room, partially fenced in yard, and comfortable sleeping quarters. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. A short drive to Holland, Michigan for more attractions.

Nice property in a great location

Nice, clean, dog friendly property in a great location- short walk to downtown Saugatuck. Would enjoy coming back in the summer to enjoy the screened porch!

Bright and welcoming

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The property is just as pictured. Everything was clean, the towels were thick and fluffy, hotel quality. There was even a gift bag for our dog. The location is walking distance to all the local shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

Good choice for 2 people in Saugatuck

We enjoyed our entire visit at this location. First impression: this spot is warm and inviting. Our dog was welcome there; she even had a welcome package waiting for her. We made use of all the place’s features, and everything works great. We parked our car when we arrived on Friday, and didn’t move it until we left the following Monday. No need: Saugatuck’s shopping district is entirely accessible by foot, and having beautiful fall weather enhanced our stay.

Lovely stay

What a beautiful old home that has been thoughtfully converted into a multi family unit. Fully separate spaces and entrances so we never even encountered the other family staying at the same time. Perfect location right in town. Had to communicate with property management once due to an unfortunate power outage in town but they responded immediately and offered to bring us fans to beat the heat! Didn’t need them- power back within a few hours. We were so grateful for a pet friendly place as well. We would 100% come back!

The location was great! However, this part of the two family home was very small. The bed was very uncomfortable and was not a queen bed but probably a full. It was small. My husband and I have a queen so we would know. The shower was also very small. If you are a bigger person this property is not for you. Overall the house was clean and had everything you need. The location was in walking distance to shops and restaurants. It can be hard to find parking in the street during the weekend. We got lucky and found a spot and walked the whole time. This is an old house which is fine but there are issues like a musty smell. The wood doors are all hard to close due to heat expansion. The closet and bathroom doors would not close at all. The door to the screened in porch was very hard to close and lock. We could hear the other family in the other part of the house. They had kids running back and forth all day. We made the best of it but for the expense of this place you should know these things. We had fun in the town but I would not stay here again.

Older home in Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You cannot beat the location of the home. But for the price you would expect a 5-star experience. The home was nicely appointed, but don't be fooled by the pictures. The home isn't as brightly lit as the pictures show. Also the home suffers from typical issues of an older home like interior doors closing hard, baseboards showing age/wear, etc. For example there are beautiful French doors giving you access to the screened in porch, but opening and closing the doors were a struggle. Also the VRBO listing didn't state anywhere that there is no dedicated parking spot. So again you are paying top price and you have to roll the dice in parking on the street.When I reference the price of the unit, I understand that we booked a weekend over the summer. So you would expect to pay top dollar. But when paying top dollar you expect more.Host was generally very responsive during the week (Thrs and Friday), but didn't reply at all on the weekend. For some reason the TV wouldn't connect to wifi. I sent a note to host and never heard back. So again, top price and no TV???

Amazing location downtown- can walk to everything in Saugatuck. Bring extra sheets for the pull out couch because there was only one non fitted sheet. The other reviews are correct- the pull out couch is essentially just springs- you’re better off sleeping in the couch if you’re short enough, and the queen bed has one side very soft with a sag and one side normal. Be sure to look at the email the company sends for the code, you can’t get this easily through VRBO. We loved the patio and the screened in porch. Did not hear the other renters in the above unit at all. Tons of street parking.
