Beliggende på 50+ acres, hvor du kan vandre og udforske. 4-personers dagligt svømmepass & 1 times bådudlejning på Hanging Rock State Park inkluderet i den daglige sats. Great Mountain Bike Trails inden for 1 km fra ejendommen. Se Moore Spring Trails. Beliggende 1/2 mile fra Dan River og 4 miles fra Hanging Rock State Park. The property couldn’t be more beautiful, and the house is a gem. The hosts were communicative and gracious, and we are already planning our next stay. Our extended family wants to stay there now, too, based on our rave reviews!

What a great rental!!! The home has everything that you need. Loved the location and the property is absolutely beautiful. Home is very comfortable and so so peaceful! Loved going to John Browns store and hiking around Hanging Rock which is very close to the property. Will definitely be coming back.

A Wonderful Peaceful Experience

We had a wonderful time. The house had everything we needed (and no scratched-up Teflon pans). The renovations to the old house were really nice- just like on HGTV. The old horse barn and old family cemetery were very interesting. We were close to hiking trails, waterfalls, an art museum, and a couple of really good ice cream shops and restaurants. We want to come back next year.

The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, as was the rest of the home. It was lovely. The layout was great. There were blankets for the dogs to keep them from getting hair on the furniture, and there were dog food and water bowls. The jute rugs and all the furniture was functional and comfortable. There were two sitting rooms, one with a TV. There were games and puzzles. It was just so charming. We had the best time. The pictures don't do the home justice. You can see and feel how well loved it is. The rocking chairs and fire pit were a big bonus. We will be back. It was VERY hard to leave.

Perfect farmhouse to escape city hustle

My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying here this past weekend and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are very hospitable, the home looks great and the baby birds on the front porch added even another touch of country feel! We would definitely stay again!

Great Country Getaway

Charming Farm House in the North Carolina Woods, close to Hanging Rock State Park and lots of outdoor adventures. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing location with beautiful views. Great communication with host and accommodating to our needs. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great place to relax

A cozy house with big fields and a view of the mountains right from the front porch. Quiet too. Only a short drive from Hanging Rock. We and our dogs enjoyed it very much. Thanks for hosting, Debbie!

The best weekend getaway in the country!! Great for the doggos :)

We had the best time last weekend at the farm! The process of renting this home was so easy and we had great communication from the hosts. They gave us early check in and late check out, the house was very clean and the entry was simple! We had 3 guests Friday night and each had our own room and bathroom. Saturday night we had 5 guests and 2 dogs and we all fit very comfortably. Great kitchen, laundry, lots of games and books, comfortable beds. And 5 minutes from Hanging Rock State park where we hiked with the dogs. The VRBO property spans back for miles behind the house where we walked off leash with the dogs each day. I will definitely be back and have already recommended to my friends and coworkers!

Comfortable stay with a touch of history. Convenient to Hanging Rock, etc.

Nice, quiet, and comfortable. Our family enjoyed the Vaden Farmhouse as a starting point for exploring Hanging Rock State Park, Dan River, Mt Airy, Danbury, and similar locations nearby. Debbie was a great hostess! I especially appreciated stepping into history here. It was easy to imagine generations of Vadens living and thriving here when it was an active farm. Definitely a slice of Stokes County history!

Engagement Weekend

What an amazing location to celebrate our daughter’s surprise engagement at the Lower Falls at Hanging Rock State Park! The house has been tastefully updated but you still feel the historic charm. Everything was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with basic items you will need. The rooms are decorated beautifully. The property is extremely private and expansive! Owners could not have been easier to work with and even left us a nice basket knowing our daughter was getting engaged. We will be back!!

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a fun farmhouse close to hiking. The house had a great antique farm house feel, plenty of room, and beautiful views. Debbie was a great host and was very responsive and helpful. The home was located very close to both Hanging Rock ( 10 min drive) and Pilot Mountain ( 25 min drive), making it very conveniently located. Plenty of room to explore and play outside which was great for the kids. My favorite part of the house was enjoying my morning coffee, and nightly glass of wine, from the rocking chairs on the front porch watching the fantastic view. I highly recommend!

A Peaceful Adventure

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet, beautiful getaway, or you want adventures in nature, you cannot lose by choosing this beautiful restored farmhouse and its grounds. It’s hard to narrow down to a few sentences how much we enjoyed our stay. It is the totality of all of the amenities, the views, the privacy of the well-kept grounds, the history and nostalgia, the well appointed, beautiful CLEAN, organized farm home, the proximity of fun things and beautiful adventures that made our vacation so special. If you choose to cook in, you will enjoy the beautiful kitchen and dining space. We will definitely be back. The hosts are very communicative and responsive if needed. I just can’t list all of the things that make this property so wonderful.

Gorgeous!

Our family get-a-way was everything we had hoped. Beautiful home that was perfectly appointed with modern updates but historical charm. The house was impeccably clean and had every detail we could hope for and could have possibly needed. Owners communicated just before our stay that the washer was not working well so we could plan accordingly (still usable but tricky). Property was lovely with a great view of Hanging Rock. We spent most of our house time on the front porch. Our dog loved the walks to the creek and despite the heat, just wanted to be outside. This was my first time exploring the area and can’t wait to come back to visit the park again. Thank you!

Beautiful Historic Property!

You won't go wrong staying here! It is a beautiful historic farmhouse with all the charm that comes with the history, but with wonderful upgrades, specifically in the kitchen and upstairs bathrooms. It was extremely peaceful, and we were very impressed with all the thoughtful touches in the house (blankets, hats, flashlights, books, games, extra everything, a kitchen full of everything you might need.... I could go on and on!). We were especially impressed by the extensive information provided by the owners prior to arrival, both about the house itself and about the area. I wish every rental provided such phenomenal information! We traveled with 2 teenage boys, and they especially loved the fire pit and exploring the property. Bryan and Francie were extremely communicative and prompt in their communications, the perfect hosts! Highly recommend staying here!

Magical Homeplace

We loved everything about this property. Bryan and Francie have thought of everything. We love all the natural elements of the home that were kept in the restoration. It was fun to imagine what life would have been like living in that home in the 1900s as we sat on the front porch in the evenings. I'm a huge history buff and old cemeteries are interesting to me, so I enjoyed exploring the family plot on the hill. Our dogs had a fabulous time. They spent hours playing fetch. My husband went hiking through the property with one of our dogs while the other and I attended a nearby dog competition. The home was a great satellite spot to the competition location. The home is perfectly located for all your outdoor interests. We definitely want to come back and explore more of Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. We ate out only one night, opting instead to get food from John Brown's and cook ourselves. The kitchen has everything you need. The night we ate out, we ate at Foothills Grill and Tap. Their beers are very well priced! Can't wait to come back! We cannot thank the hosts enough for a fabulous stay! (Next time we'd really love the original owner family member to come down and tell us stories! We hoped all weekend that we would run into her. haha)

The home is lovely and the property is beautiful. You just cannot beat the front yard view of hanging rock!! We spent a lot of time relaxing on the front porch enjoying the view! The home had all the amenities that we needed and then some! The fire pit was great and the star gazing was phenomenal!!....our dogs were happy too!
