This home was so lovely! We had an amazing family girls trip and the host was so helpful and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and we were pretty excited that they had Catan as that is one of our favorite family games! We caught the week's most amazing sunset while enjoying a glass of wine on the back porch. Beautiful views! We hiked daily at Yosemite and the drive to the park from the house was beautiful too. We would most definitely stay here again!

Such a fantastic house & property! Very comfortable, great location (around 45 minutes to the Arch Rock entrance), lots of space, and all the amenities that you need. We saw deer, fox, & wild turkeys on the property, and plenty of shooting stars in the sky. Susan was super communicative, both before & during the stay. We'd definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful property. The host makes you feel like it’s your home. There was a bowl of Starbucks kuerig cups ready for the morning. She provides luxury linens with a linen duvet cover and Matouk towels. The kitchen is full of beautiful dishes as well as everything you would need. There are 3 beautiful outdoor areas to enjoy. About 30 minutes to the park entrance and 10 minutes to a charming town with plenty of restaurants! A must stay!

What a beautiful home.....We loved our stay!! We especially loved the outdoor living space and the functioning gas grill was an added bonus. Beautiful view and very peaceful. Extremely well stocked! Susan was a great host, provided some great upfront information and suggestions and was extremely responsive. We spent a wonderful couple of days in Yosemite and it was nice to come back and relax and unwind in such a large and comfortable space. Close to Mariposa for shopping and restuarant needs. One of our favorite properties......would definitely stay again. Thx for hosting!!

Wonderful property with thoughtful details throughout

Lovely home for our week-long stay with daily visits to Yosemite. We especially appreciated: the large great room including the pair of extra-long sofas; the roomy and well-furnished back deck with long and beautiful views out; the well-stocked kitchen, baths, and laundry area; the individual thermostats, high quality bedding, and darkening shades in all three bedrooms; the glowing lanterns (in the front yard tree) which greeted us each time we came home after dark; Susan's quick and helpful replies to questions. We enjoyed our stay!

Spotless, Peaceful Retreat with Total Privacy

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The house was absolutely spotless—every surface was clean, no dust anywhere, and it felt like we were the first guests to ever stay there. You can really tell the owners take pride in maintaining the space. It’s also incredibly quiet and secluded, offering a level of privacy that’s hard to find these days. Perfect for a peaceful getaway or just unwinding in total tranquility. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, private escape.

National Parks trip

I give this property THE HIGHEST RATINGS in every category though I am not sure that this survey tool is recording everthing correctly. Susan was incredible....so responsive and helpful!! Midpines was a lovely little town, and we so enjoyed the solitude and the gorgeous views. This is a wonderful property!

We loved our one week stay at the Yosemite-BaseCamp. Very comfortable house, beautiful views, nice areas around the house to relax and enjoy the mountains and scenery. The house has all the comforts of home and more. Spacious, clean and open interior with lots of windows to see the great outdoors. Our hosts were always available for any questions or concerns, a great comfort knowing they were just a text or call away. I would highly recommend this house for your vacation or Yosemite visit, a hidden gem on a hilltop! 5 Stars!!

Mountain getaway

Basecamp is ideally located on top of a hill with amazing views of the mountains and trees. It is very convenient in and out of Yosemite. The house is well kept and appointed. The host thoughtfully labeled everything and gave great instruction. The kitchen had little touches like ziplock bags that we could use for leftovers. The blackout curtains were a nice touch as well. Overall a beautiful and comfortable home. Thank you Susan for your warm hospitality.

Susan's property is amazing! The House: It's secluded and peaceful with great views. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 to congregate or have alone time inside and outside of the house. The back porch/deck was the perfect place to relax and listen to the soothing sound of the chimes or the bench swing on the side porch. The Kitchen: We like to stay at VRBO's for the kitchen and make our own meals. Susan had the kitchen stocked with everything and cabinets labeled so I knew where everything was! One recommendation: replace the dishwasher as it's past its prime. Laundry: It was helpful to have washer and dryer onsite too -that actually worked and didn't ruin our clothes! (with detergent provided) Really, her house is immaculate - nicely decorated, tidy, all essentials provided like an upscale hotel! One caution for families with younger children - she has beautiful couches and fabric dining chairs that are white/cream colored - so would be afraid of spills/stains on her expensive furniture! Location: About an hour from Yosemite - El Portal entrance. You still have to drive a ways to get into Yosemite Valley. We preferred to stay further away from the park to get away from the crowds after long days hiking and sightseeing. Restaurants and groceries are in Mariposa - about 10-15 minute drive. the BBQ restaurant was AMAZING!!

Midpines/Yosemite trip

The panoramic, scenic view of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance is stunning. Despite the chill, several of us thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck. One morning we awoke to a flock of turkeys foraging in the back area, only to have them return to the front yard several days later! The house’s layout proved ideal as each of the three bedrooms had their own bathroom. We turned the media room into a fourth bedroom. The very large open area with a fireplace in the middle is designed as a dining room on one end, a living room type space where we socialized in the middle, and on the opposite end a large table for six suitable for games and puzzles, both of which are there in abundance. A nice feature is how the size of the space allowed for all six of us to gather or to break off into smaller groups to converse or play games, while always in sight of everyone else. The kitchen is equipped with all one needs to prepare any type of meal and well designed for multiple people cooking. Multiple thermostats ensured each room satisfied people’s varying degrees of comfort, pardon the pun. Finally, nearby Mariposa makes for a great day trip and easy access to whatever one desires and the trip to Yosemite is but about 25 miles away. Many thanks for your hospitality and your responsiveness to our needs…our time spent there was memorable!

Yosemite was our 17th national park and this property is definitely tops on our list of stays! Very clean, very comfortable. We went with two of our adult kids and their significant others and it was amazing for every couple to have their own private escape with each bedroom having its own full bath and temp control! The coffee bar was such a treat to start our mornings! We watched the birds every morning out the kitchen window and the wild turkeys coming for a drink! The back deck was so relaxing and I am obsessed with those wind chimes!Yosemite was only a quick hour from the village and about 2 hours from Tenaya lake and glacier point. The restaurants in Mariposa were great as well. Thank you for sharing this amazing home and allowing us memories for a lifetime!
