Great house in great location for boats/fishing. Outdoor space was amazing, we hardly went inside. Had everything we needed for multi generational family group. Owner had excellent communication and was easy to deal with. We enjoyed every day here.

Perfect Keys House for Family and Groups

Large home with room to spread out for friends and family. Comfortable beds. Plenty of indoor gathering spaces but the real deal is the huge outdoor space with a large tiki, the biggest picnic table I’ve ever seen, ample outdoor cooking options, and an awesome ice machine. Owner is very easy going and accessible. Great dock facility if you bring a boat. Lots of parking. Fully fenced. We usually stay closer to Tavernier, but really enjoyed being on this side of Largo. Great dive sites nearby.

Perfect Christmas

There is nothing like Christmas in Key Largo. We had a different set of family members and friends each week. We stayed in mostly (due to the pandemic). We spent all day in the pool with my son cooking breakfast and dinner on the Blackstone. This is our 2nd Christmas I the Keys. The weather was perfect and we definitely coming back.

Absolutely perfect!

We couldn’t ask for a better set up. House location is great to go out fishing, snorkeling, or to sandbar. Nice boat dock and fish cleaning area. Owner was very accommodating and friendly. House was very clean and overall great place to stay!

Great vacation home

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was big enough that the 7 of us staying could easily find a quiet corner. The outdoor kitchen was a delight to use. We had a problem with the pool heater which JT took care of ASAP so we didn’t miss pool time. JT was very gracious and checked in with us to see regularly if all was well. The house and property were very clean. The beds were comfortable. All in all our stay was enjoyable.

This place has it all!

First of all thanks JT for sharing your home. It's the best place I've stayed in the Keys and I've been down about 30 times. House has many bedrooms and bathrooms which are all very comfortable. Two kitchens, two washers and dryers. Outside is amazing with the pool and outdoor cooking area. Huge dock for our boat as well. It's a ten minute boat ride out to less crowded areas of Pennekamp. The diving was great. Offshore bite wasn't great this year so I guess I'll have to come back and do it again.

Great trip!

We enjoyed our stay at ocean isles. Restaurants in walking distance, mangroves to kayak in, and a large pool and outdoor kitchen area! This home was a great size and comfortable for large families. All in all I would recommend this home!

As Good As It Gets

We have stayed in many houses in the Keys over the last few years and this house is head and shoulders above the rest. It would be impossible to list all the reasons why with the amount of characters allowed for my review. I will hit on a few, but I will say that description of his property is very detailed and everything is 100% as advertised. JT was a great communicator from the request to book through the last day of our stay. He met us personally at the property when we arrived to show us around and familiarize us with the home, patio extras, and most importantly the pool. The personal walk through ensures that you will enjoy every aspect of his house without a learning curve. He then shakes your hand and the relaxation begins. Every couple of days JT will check up on you with a text message to ensure everything is fine and that you have no questions or concerns. The floor plan of this house is absolutely perfect for multi family stays. We pulled our 32' Ocean Master down to fish and dive during our stay. The dock was very nice and situated on a large canal with immediate ocean access. JT allowed us access to his large deep freezer on the dock and if you fish you know how convenient that is. The ice machine may have been my favorite part of the property. It was able to keep up with our beer and fishing coolers the entire stay. It easily saved us a few hundred dollars along with countless trips to the store. The outdoor kitchen is second to none. The house's kitchens are pointless because of this area. It offers everything you need and is extremely well stocked with cooking utensils. The house is extremely nice and well equipped all the way down to the amount of towels supplied, but I would re book this property based on the patio area alone. It really is that nice and convenient. The pool was the other big highlight of this property. This is not the tiny pool you are accustomed to with rentals. This is a full sized pool that will accommodate your full crew. We had 3 young kids (5-7) snorkeling and playing with 6 adults relaxing and enjoying cold beverages. The size of the pool gave them plenty of room to splash and carry on without getting Mom's hair wet while she stayed hydrated and floated. We are already planning our return to this property next summer!

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time in Key Largo! We had a group of 10 including two infants and a 3 1/2 year old. At first I was concerned about the narrow stairs throughout the house but the little one was able to navigate through without any problems. The outside area was so much fun!!! We spent a few days by the pool and every meal that was cooked at the house was cooked in the outside kitchen. The pool was a little tricky to operate but JT was available for all our questions. Everyone in our group had their own room & bathroom. The downstairs area is separated from the rest of the house which was the perfect place for the relatives who didn’t need to deal with the crying babies in the middle of the night. The lodging really was ideal. Key Largo was the laid back ocean place we were hoping for. We had a couple of meals at Buzzards Roost and Shipwrecks. Both are in walking distance from the house and both were delicious. We also loved the Conch House for breakfast. We would love to visit again! We wish we had rented some sort of water toys ( paddle boards, kayaks etc) because we definitely wanted to take advantage of the ocean access but time just got away from us. It was a beautiful place and a very fun rental property!

Loved everything about it!

This home is very clean and in a great location. The backyard is the BEST!!! So peaceful and relaxing! The owner was very nice and responsive throughout the whole experience - from booking up through the last day of our stay. I would highly recommend this home and look forward to staying again!!

Great stay, Great house, Great host!

This house and the host met all of our needs and more. We stayed with 2 of our adult children and their significant others and the house was a HIT!!! JT was present when a part of our family arrived and provided a tour and the "how tos". He was also available and responsive while we were there. As noted in other reviews, the outdoor area is hard to ever leave. The outdoor kitchen and eating area helped us get optimum sun time. The house is close to beaches and activities like snorkeling and parasailing and literally a block away from a great area restaurant. The downstairs area has its own mini unit with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, TV area and kitchenette. It made it really convenient to go in and out from the pool. The only recommendation would be to have additional lounge chairs. That being said there are tons of seating areas available. The rest of the house is great too; clean and spacious. We would definitely rent this house again. HIGHLY recommend!

Private resort for family and friends

The house is ideal for multiple families to vacation together. We felt like we had a private resort for our family and friends. We spent the majority of our time in the pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen. Also, J.T., the owner, texted me a few times during our stay to make sure everything was going well. I would recommend this house as a great vacation spot on Key Largo.

awesome home for extended families or very large families.

The pool/spa didn't work properly for 5 days, but was fixed. It would have been nice to have a tv in the master bedroom. other wise awesome. out door grill/cooking area was great.

Hello Harry, 5 days without the pool/spa..? OUCH....! .........., In order to clarify. please find our date and time TEXT exchanges regarding the pool pump failure........,, Your text to me on Saturday Jan 6th @ 9:41AM......, "No hot water on the first floor"........., As you know, I was at the house at 12 noon on Saturday in an attempt to solve the problem. The tank less water heater unit that services the 2 bathrooms downstairs needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, I could not find a plumbing supply store open on late Saturday that had the replacement unit in stock so I had to address the issue on Monday.........., Your next text to me was : Sunday Jan 7th @ 12:54 PM....., " pool pump is fried, I just turned it on and it caught fire"......, My text to you on: Sunday Jan 7th was: " ok, I'll be there Monday morning and I'll get a new pump as well"....., My text on Monday Jan 8th @ 9:51 AM....., " I'm loaded up and on the way"..........., BOTTOM LINE: The pool pump and the water heater were installed and operational by 1PM Monday the 8th. Of course I apologized for the inconvenience but things do break and occasionally they break in pairs.... ! There are three 50" Sharp TV's at my home but none are in the bedrooms as indicated in the description of the amenities. Thanks again.

Renters with dogs or kids, beware your deposit.

Pool and outdoor area is beautiful as advertised. Indoors is as nice as pictures show, although we found the beds were not all comfortable, the bathtub drainplug did not work, and water pressure/temp was not great. We have 800+ credit scores and have rented properties for 15 years (including with pets) and have never once had an issue with our deposit. We had approval from JT for our dog-- a well-behaved, 6-yo, 45-lb, short-haired boxer mix. JT even spent an hour with the dog when we checked in. We stayed for 9 days, at the advertised per-night price, including a significant pet fee and cleaning fee. The house is all tile with a couple of rugs. JT kept a large chunk of our large deposit, citing dog hair (e.g., several hundred to clean 1, 8x10 rug in 1 bedroom, plus other fees related to dog hair). Our dog is completely housetrained, and spent most of the time outside - but yes she did sleep in the master bedroom (on the rug), for 9 days. My thought is that if you are going to approve dogs and charge a pet fee (in addition to cleaning fee), and allow someone with a pet to use your house for 9 days, it's reasonable to expect your rug will have dog hair on it. It's probably a better rental for adults without kids or pets.

Hello Leah P., I am sorry that you were upset about the hold-back that was applied after your stay but I could not overlook, or absorb, the sizable out of pocket costs to recondition my home after your visit. As you know, I clearly itemized ALL of the hard expenses and your dogs hair and odor were just a part of those costs. Also, our agreement was that your dog was to stay downstairs and not where I had the Turkish area rug in the master bedroom upstairs. The beds were all purchased brand new in 2017 and frankly, I have never had a single complaint about them. I'm sorry if you found one to be uncomfortable. Water pressure in Key Largo...? Sorry....., Bathtub drain plug...? Sorry......., Regarding the hot water temperature, there was a a tank-less unit that stopped working after your stay and I immediately replaced it for the next tenants once I was made aware of the problem. I texted you multiple times during your stay and all appeared to be OK with no mention of this. Finally, your statement that this home is "probably a better rental for adults without kids or pets" is somewhat offensive to me since I have both kids and pets. Also, I have had many guests that have rented with kids and pets and they seem to agree that my home was very friendly to both. Thank you and God Bless.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Everyone was thrilled and we recommend it to everyone!

The owner was always available for questions and helped w anything we needed. House was beautiful, and clean ...pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. We even walked to a great restaurant around the block. Give yourself a treat and spend some time there! Better than any hotel around!!

All twelve of us LOVED this place, swimming, iguanas, fishing, and diving what was not to love. The only setback was Irma make us depart 3-days early, I wonder if the owner will credit me the three days for our next trip to Paradise? The house and facilities were great! Robert M.

Amazing outdoor area!

The outdoor area of this home was amazing! The saltwater pool/jacuzzi is beautiful and clean, with colored lights that were so fun at night and fountains that can be turned on and off. There were plenty of inflatable pool toys including a volleyball net and ball that the competitive members of our group really enjoyed! We didn't realize how much we would use the cool looking outdoor shower. It was great! The Tiki area with a large picnic table accommodated all 12 of us nicely and the outdoor kitchen ended up being our favorite place to cook with the large griddle, barbecue, and ice machine. The indoor area is nice as well and was very clean. We booked this property because of the proximity to the ocean as we had rented a boat for the week and spent most of our time snorkeling and scuba diving and because of the fact that it had so many bathrooms! You can find many properties that will accommodate larger groups but usually they don't have this many bathrooms. It's so nice for each family/couple to have their own bathroom. When we visit the Florida Keys again we will definitely consider this property!

The home is Beautiful!! Well maintained!! CLEAN!!

We loved our stay!! House was Awesome! We had a large party of 8 staying at the house and another 3 family members near by! Pool is crystal clear!!! We have done a large family vacation since 2007 we started out at 6 and are now up to 15!! This is by far my FAVORITE HOUSE!! The owner was very easy going and helpful!! He offered lots of information about the local area, for food and activities!!! We were there during Mini Lobster Fest!!! But even with the additional tourist we were never waiting long! The area is BEAUTIFUL!! The iguanas next door entertained us daily!! ( They love being fed watermelon!!! ) The outside Tiki Hut with its 50 inch Flat Screen & FULL KITCHEN was AMAZING!! We grilled, used the griddle and the ice machine was always full!! We spent 90% of our time here! We hated to leave!! We will be returning next year!!

Wonderful summer vacation!

This house is great! The outdoor space makes this house the one! JT had everything we needed for an awesome week. The pool is clean. The outdoor kitchen rocks! The dock is in great shape. We had 12 people in this house for over a week and never felt cramped. We cooked dinners almost every night and loved eating outside. There was plenty of dock space for 2 boats and the location is perfect for quick access to the ocean or the back country. The first night in the house was a little warm but JT was on it right away. He stayed in touch the entire time and I felt that if we had any issues he was going to be there to fix them. I would definitely book this house again.

AMAZING!!!!

Amazing.....amazing....amazing!!! Took a trip to Key Largo with my husband and 3 children this April and couldn't be more satisfied! The house was incredible, had everything you needed, including all linens and kitchen ware. This house was so huge, and so very clean. I believe we only used 3 of the bedrooms, I think there were 5 or 6 plus 5 baths and 2 living areas. Inside of the house was wonderful! Now, the outside, I can't say enough. We truly didn't need to leave the backyard ever! The pool and spa was incredible, crystal clear, perfect water temperature, had lights at night which the kids loved. Oh, and it was salt water! Didn't burn anyone's eyes not harsh on your hair...I'm actually converting my pool to salt water this summer. And let's not forget the tiki bar/ kitchen/ bbq/ entertainment area! Again, you really didn't have to leave the yard for anything. Ice machine was so convenient, as well as the sinks and cooking areas, and of course the TV! Plenty of chairs to lounge around in and beautiful lighting at night. The location is super convenient to stores, restaurants, activities. My husband is a fisherman so we rented a boat and docked it at the house no problem. JT was great, let us check in a bit early because our flight was overnight and we actually arrived at 4 am. He came by and showed us everything about the house, super nice guy! We will definitely be back!!! Thanks again JT!!! Thank you JT for offering such an amazing house, this definitely made our vacation perfect?

Beautiful home!!

Wonderful place to stay and relax. The house is large and clean. The double kitchen was wonderful to store food. We spent most of our meals outside preparing on the flat iron grill we all loved cooking on it!! The pool and hot tub were perfect and even a canal behind you can swim and fish it. We all thought it was a great place to stay especially with a large group. The owner was very helpful and always available to help with any questions. We loved it!!

Amazing house and service

My wife and I went with 5 teenage kids. Everyone had a great time. The house had everything we needed and it was in amazing condition. Best vacation rental we ever had and JT was great. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your house.
