Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the temperature upon arrival, I responded immediately when you reported that the heat was not working and arrived within minutes to assist. Upon inspection, we found that the heating system was operating properly and simply needed to be turned on. During your stay, an unexpected groundwater issue caused moisture to seep through a section of the kitchen floor. As soon as the plumber identified the cause, I notified you by text, explained the situation, and asked how you would like to proceed. When we later spoke in person, you indicated that keeping rugs in place over the affected area would be acceptable until repairs could be completed. Regarding access to the property, you were notified in advance that the plumber and I would need to enter the home to inspect the water issue. The kitchen door was left unlocked during the scheduled visit to facilitate access. The home is located in a wooded setting, and while we take regular measures to manage pests, occasional insects can sometimes find their way indoors. Finally, our listing clearly states that pets and animals are not permitted on the property. When a dog was brought onto the property, I reminded the reservation holder of the house rules and asked that the matter be addressed, simply to enforcing the policies that are disclosed to all guests prior to booking.
