Beautiful getaway

Hidden gem. House manager was easy to get a hold of. Housekeeper was amazing and thorough at her job.

Lovely stay, VERY responsive host

The stay overall was good. There was an additional sofa bed in the second living room which came in handy for us (2 sofa beds downstairs in total). There are many plates, cups, pots and plenty cutlery. The property is very spacious and clean…we barely had enough time to fully enjoy it! The below are not complaints! More to give further understanding of what to expect during your stay. There are 3 rooms with a double bed in each room…we expected to have 2 single beds in one of the rooms. As family we dealt with ok. But was not ideal to have 2 grown men (brothers) sharing a bed before discovering the additional sofa bed downstairs. Note: Downstairs doesn’t have air conditioning, only ceiling fans.We had a leak from one of the 4 toilets in the property which was handled/fixed within 24 hours of reporting to the host. We were very pleased by the quick response! We had no further problems! The property has a mango tree :-D fabulous added bonus - they drop on the floor in the garden, ready to eat! PS VERY safe community! Hardly even saw any neighbours…10min walk to the main road (a bit dark but safe)…the beach is AMAZING!!!! Access through the restaurant that is on the estate. Restaurant food is great!!!!!!!We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others. Would love if the chef services were available next time. However, it’s easier enough to cook own breakfast and go out for lunch/dinner. (Local CFC if VERY affordable - 5mins away by car).

We were genuinely surprised and disappointed to see your one-star rating, particularly because we were not made aware during your stay of concerns that would suggest your experience had fallen this far below expectations. We did become aware of an issue with one of the bedroom headboards and communicated that to the group. We arranged for it to be addressed as quickly as possible and made the necessary repair. Your group was visiting Jamaica under difficult circumstances to attend a funeral, and throughout the stay we tried to be as accommodating and flexible as possible, including extending the stay when additional time at the villa was needed. We take guest feedback seriously, and had additional concerns been brought to our attention, we would have made every reasonable effort to address them during the stay. Other members of your group shared positive interactions with us, which makes this rating especially difficult for us to understand. Nevertheless, we appreciate your group choosing Hallelujah House. We will continue using every guest experience—positive or negative—as an opportunity to maintain and improve the standards of hospitality we want our guests to receive. Sean & Jason Hallelujah House

Hi, I’m a first-generation American with deep Jamaican roots. Both of my parents were born and raised in Jamaica — they knew each other growing up on the island but didn’t reconnect until years later in New York, where their love story truly began.

My brother Jason and I spent many of our adolescent summers in Jamaica, moving between Kingston, St. Ann’s, Trelawny, and Negril. We have family all over the island, and every time we return, it feels like a reset — the air, the water, the sun, and the local food reconnect us to something deeper.

We don’t see Jamaica as a vacation. For us, it’s a homecoming. It’s our birthright. And Hallelujah House is our way of sharing that homecoming with you.

This house isn’t just a place to stay — it’s part of our family’s legacy. A space for peace, laughter, reconnection, and joy. We’re honored to welcome you into it and hope it gives you the same sense of grounding and belonging that it gives us.

We chose Mammee Bay Estates because it’s one of the few places in Jamaica that offers the perfect balance: a serene, gated neighborhood surrounded by nature — just minutes away from the energy of Ocho Rios. It’s peaceful, safe, and filled with the kind of beauty that makes you pause and take a deep breath.

What we love most is the feeling of ease. You can wake up to birdsong, sip coffee on the veranda, and take a short 6–7 minute stroll to the beach. No car needed. The beach is quiet, clean, and calm — with the option to rent a cabana or grab lunch and cocktails at Bamboo Blu, one of the area’s most popular beachfront restaurants.

You’re also close to some of Jamaica’s most iconic attractions. Dunn’s River Falls, Dolphin Cove, Chukka Cove, Mystic Mountain, and local hot spots like Scotchies and the Kaya Herb House are all within a short drive. Whether you're into adventure, relaxation, or cultural exploration, it’s all nearby.

But the real magic is coming home. After a full day exploring waterfalls, ziplining, or snorkeling, you return to a quiet, tropical home with a large yard, ocean breezes, and space to truly unwind. No crowds. No noise. Just you, your people, and island peace.
