Very lovely beach house; gorgeous views, very comfortable. Steep steps from parking to house did not bother us. You are right on the water. Well fitted out. The host was great.

Completely cool 1920s Cabin with incredible views of the sound and the bay there. Comfortable and rustic. The manager was very responsive as the electricity went out for a couple hours.

The location is amazing on Murden Cove. However the house is in need of updating. The property manager is the best we ever had. Chad was responsive and addressed any issues we had. If the property is updated, it can be truly amazing.

A Sound View of the Sound!

This quaint home with the Puget Sound lapping at its private garden is the perfect place to get away from it all. The views from the dining room, living room and one of the bedrooms is so spectacular, with Seattle sparking in the distance and the glowing homes of Murden Cove reflecting on the water. The fireplace, the center of the house, works well and makes the house so cozy. It was hard to have to leave. Chad, the manager, was so thoughtful and helpful, and oh my, the handmade sourdough loaf waiting for me on the counter. Too good!

Our family of 6 stayed at Murden Cove last week. We all felt like we had hit the VRBO jackpot staying in this beautiful old house. It sits very close to the water and the beautiful views of the cove, the Canadian geese, great blue heron, sea gulls, beautiful sunrises and the fog blowing through the evergreens across the bay were all a constant marvel. The grounds around the house are quite beautiful, filled with blooming hydrangea, rosemary, flowering oregano and apple trees filled with apples. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the cove and on the grassy hill just next to the house. The house itself is lovely and cozy, decorated with an artistic elegant eclectic style that is welcoming and warm. It offered everything we needed even just the two bathrooms (and one shower) was not an issue. Everything worked well and was very straightforward, no confusing issues. The house feels well maintained and fresh while still feeling quirky and quaint. It is not a modern house by any stretch so some of the doors don’t close firmly and the kitchen is clean and tidy and very well stocked but not remodeled which was just fine with us. Our favorite thing was to spend time in the house enjoying the view and being with family. Honestly, it felt like an honor to stay there. One thing that took getting used to was a funny smell that from time to time comes off of the cove, a sulfur smell from the organic matter in the bay. It came and went while we were there but was not a big deal.

Murden Cove is an absolutely lovely place to stay on Bainbridge. House is well appointed and the view cannot be beat. It was lovely to sit on deck and in the yard and observe the beautiful view as the tide changed. It is very close to town which makes for easy dining out. We will definitely visit again. Chad is a marvelous host. He is very responsive if you need ANYTHING.Just a few observations: There is only one shower in the house on the main floor. Upstairs is only a tub. There is no AC on the second floor. Only a concern when it is very hot days. For folks with mobility concerns:The staircase to the second floor is a steep spiral style. And the walk down and up from parking is long and somewhat steep - but the steps are easy to manage
