Welcome to The Grove, your ideal retreat in Marion, Illinois! Located at the west end of Marion, nestled in a serene wooded area, this cabin offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience, being just under 5 minutes from the new Oasis Sports Complex and Kokopelli Golf Course, situated in the heart of Marion. The Grove is also less than 5 minutes away from Herrin, a neighboring town. SIU University is also less than a 20 minute drive, making this location perfect for our guests!
Accommodating up to six guests, The Grove features three cozy bedrooms, including two twin beds, a queen bed, and a king bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for families or couples looking to unwind. Each bedroom is thoughtfully equipped with a smart TV and ceiling fans for your convenience.
After a day of exploring, come back to relax in this peaceful setting. Enjoy the nearby Kokopelli Golf Course and the new Oasis Sports Complex (opening in the summer of 2025), both just minutes away. You'll also find a variety of dining options in the area, making it easy to sample the local flavors. Embrace the best of both worlds at The Grove—your home away from home!
The Grove is located on our families farmland. You may see us from time to time, bailing hay or working on the property to ensure it's in top shape. We are very careful not to disturb our guests and allow them to fully enjoy their stay!
Important Tips Before Your Stay
A set up package of 4 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, 4 dishwasher pods, and 4 Free and Clear laundry pods are provided for each booking. All sheets, blankets, comforters, pillowcases, and throw blankets are laundered with free and clear laundry detergent. All items, used or unused, are laundered every time the home is rented.
Once your booking is accepted, we will send you a short-term rental agreement that is to be reviewed and signed within 24 hours of your accepted reservation. It is the renter's responsibility to ensure that all guests abide by the house polices outlined in the agreement.
The Grove has a strict no-smoking and vaping policy inside the home, on the porches, and near the home. There is a designated smoking location under the carport with a receptacle. The home is made of cedar, which easily soaks in smells, making future non-smoking guests' stays unpleasant. If you or your guests smoke or vape, there are several homes in the area with more lax smoking policies. Thank you.

The check-in process was seamless and the house was extremely clean! Communication was easy if we needed something. We loved being on the property. We ended up seeing six wild turkeys, a groundhog and more deer than we could help. Information was readily available. The house was extremely comfortable and we would definitely stay there again next year highly recommend!

The Grove was absolutely fabulous! Truly one of the best rentals I have stayed in. The hosts were phenomenal. The home cleanly and gorgeous with incredible country views. Marion and Herrin were so close along with all the local eats, stores, sights, and activities they listed. We hope to stay here again and we 1000% recommend!!

The host were amazing people, the location was perfect for our needs and the environment was tranquil and quiet. While we live 5 hours away we will make plans to come back just to stay here. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend!

Had a wonderful stay with my family at this beautiful cabin! Melissa was great at communicating. She made us feel welcomed and comfortable at the cabin. The cabin was very cozy and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect getaway
The house is beautifully decorated and the host made everything perfect for our stay! Checking in was super easy and communication with Melissa was so perfect. We can’t wait to visit again!

Cozy and comfortable
We had a wonderful stay—it truly felt like a home away from home. The property was comfortable, relaxing, and had everything we needed. It was also in a convenient location, making it easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit in the area

The entire experience was amazing! Exceptional host who had everything ready early and provided a clean, warm and welcoming experience. Accommodations were accurately depicted in the photos and written description. Highly recommend this quiet, private, and spacious getaway that was close to all the local amenities with the feel of country charm.

The place was very welcoming and clean with a lot of amenities . We celebrated my granddaughters birthday there and when we walked in the door they had a bouquet of balloons and snacks waiting for us . We were very appreciative of the kindness . Definitely a recommend stay.

The home was amazing! Great location, very clean, spacious, and amazing communication with the host Melissa. She went above and beyond on everything possible. We will be sure to keep the home saved for future trips to the area. Strongly recommend slaying here!

This was our second stay at this wonderful cabin in Marion, Illinois, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The space is incredibly spacious, and we loved the wraparound porch, perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The fire pit was a big highlight, where we made s’mores with the kids. The Blackstone griddle was fantastic, and the piano added a charming touch. The hostess provided everything we needed - pots, pans, cookware, crock pots, blenders, and all the amenities you could ask for. She even left balloons for a graduation we were celebrating, making it so personal. This truly felt like a home away from home. We will absolutely continue to visit every time we travel to the area. Highly recommend!

This cabin was amazing. Easily one of the best experiences like this with a private home rental. The place is perfect, clean, has everything you would need. Great for kids! The hosts are sooo friendly and had so many great recommendations and surprises for my kids!! It was wonderful and highly recommended!!

Cozy but Roomy Secluded Cabin
Great spot - cabin secluded in the woods but close to town. Very clean, plenty of room for six of us. All decorated for Christmas! Hosts were very friendly and attentive!

The cabin is lovely, welcoming, and pristine. The grounds are quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is there. As amazing as this cabin is, it’s the hosts that really put it over the top. They are helpful, generous, and very knowledgeable about the area and the attractions it offers. You can’t go wrong with this listing.

Nice and quiet
It was clean and the furniture was very comfy. The tvs in every room was also nice. It could use some extra blankets in the closet, and also maybe some outdoor seating around the fireplace outside.

I’ll begin by saying that this is by far one of the best rental experiences I’ve ever had. The hospitality and communication with the host was incredible! The extra “touches” of pride taken by them in their property were extremely impressive. Their precious daughter even left us welcoming basket with snacks and a beautiful little note. We were in town to seek housing for my son who is beginning medical school nearby. I have already decided that this will be my “go-to” residence when I’m in southern Illinois to visit! Thoroughly impressed!! The high ratings are definitely warranted.

What a fantastic place to call “home” for the week. The location was central to all of my family locally and the driveway was big enough to fit their trucks! The yard had ample space for my nieces and nephews to play games. The wildlife in the field out back was a bonus! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we can’t wait to come back!

The cabin is beautiful and spacious. The location is quiet and serene in a woodsy environment. The owners of the property are very nice. The check-in process was easy and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had a 3 and 4 year old and the owners left us a gift of s’mores to make for kids out by the fire pit. It was a big hit with the children. I would highly recommend this location.
