Smukt 3 værelses hjem på den rene Hudson River, der strømmer direkte fra Sacandaga-floden. Du er 15-20 minutter væk fra Lake George landsbyen og Downtown Saratoga / Saratoga Race Track. Mindre end ti minutter væk fra West Mountain, 45 minutter til Gore bjerg og tæt på mange snescooter stier og vandrestier. Fantastisk til en familie sammen, eller en gruppe venner. En fredelig indstilling med fantastisk udsigt over vandet. Medbring dine både, jetski eller andre vandlegetøj. Privat dock på floden og offentlig båd lancering lige ned ad gaden. Meget fredeligt i løbet af sommeren, efteråret og vintermånederne, med smuk udsigt året rundt ... selv at se snefaldet er smukt!

I was excited to return to this location, as my first stay in 2018 was so enjoyable. The property’s location is truly fabulous for getting to Lake George, Saratoga Springs, and Queensbury. The peaceful waterfront setting is wonderful, and the neighborhood is very quiet. Communication with the host was good.However, I was a bit disappointed this time around as the house seems to be in need of some attention. The overall cleanliness was okay, but we found cookies and a sock in the pullout couch and there were no sheets for it. Several other small issues stood-out, such as a moldy washer, broken bedroom closed doors, either missing our burnt-out light bulbs and a broken side screen door. The grill was also dirty and small, and it took us about an hour to clean it before we could use it. Given the number of needed updates and repairs, the price felt too high for the value provided.

The house was clean and the property was exactly like the pictures! Overall we were very happy with our stay. I was with fitness for a bachelorette party. We are all over 40 so we were looking for a place on the water, that was close to lake George, but that we were able to chill. It was perfect. The only down falls were that they need to invest in some new twin mattresses, we did not have extra towels, and there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms.

Property needs TLC

After a recent three-night stay, I'm afraid I can't recommend this rental. I fail to understand the 9.2 rating (especially with such inflated fees). A previous review mentioned worn mattresses in upstairs bedrooms. They apparently hadn't been replaced, and backaches ensued for two of our family group of five. The downstairs master bathroom had a loose toilet seat. My infirm sister, who could use only that bathroom, worried the seat would slip and cause her to fall. She called Shawn, who told her he'd "look into it". Didn't happen. More amenities (extra linens--especially for the pull-out; reading lamps & tables; bathmats; soap & shampoo; extra toilet tissue, some books..) would make guests more comfortable. There's not one extra pillowcase, but at least a dozen stained pillows. If you don't wish to cook with sulphury tap water, you'll need to bring loads of bottled water. The entire yard was covered in anthills. The grill had no grate, so was unusable. We enjoyed the river view, and fishing is good. But swimming is not possible due to the current, nor can one wade. Waters edge deemed unsafe for children. The house has some nice features: a/c & fans throughout, mostly what we needed in the kitchen, comfy sofas, pleasant dining room with a water view. But, it seems the host isn’t very interested in making repairs, replacing bad mattresses, or supplying what it takes to make a stay into a more comfortable one.

Lake Luzerne Getaway

Serene and tranquil location right on the water. Spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, big great room with fireplace. Lovely quiet neighborhood.

Great stay

This was a third time staying at this house and we always have a great time. Can’t beat the location. Fishing and kayaking right from your backyard is priceless. Communication with the owner when needed is great.

Great place to stay

Had a very nice week with my family. Was able to relax and enjoy the environment of the beautiful Adirondacks along with boating tubing skiing and spending some time in nearby Lake George.

Disappointing

In an odd trust of fate, we weren’t able to bring our boat This house was specifically chosen for its location and the fact it has a dock. Had we brought it, only to quickly learn the dock was essentially unusable since it is 3+ feet above the water line of water that is no more than a foot deep, combined with the issues below, we would have been demanding something be done. “Fortunately” we “only” had to contend with the lack of the following basic amenities: - Drinking water: tap water smells of sulfur. We had to buy many gallons of water for eating and drinking purposes. - Appropriate bedding. All the beds are beyond garbage. The couple that stayed in the master bdrm described their bed “concoction“ as “ghetto” and the nail marks and stains on the foam layer “gross”. The “mattresses“ in the twin bedroom both have craters in them and the mattress in the queen bedroom is stained and left that couple in back pain each and every morning. -Wi-Fi and TV. I note the host responded to my text messages; however, he never followed up to ensure all was in working order. They never were. We never had Wi-Fi or TV during our entire stay. - An extra roll of toilet paper, a filled soap dispenser, hand towel and a bath mat in each bathroom as well as extra (adult sized) towels. Granted, these are minor concerns that we would normally overlook; however, their absence speaks to the overall lack of care and maintenance of the property and the job, quite frankly, as a VRBO host.

Beautiful Riverfront House

This is a good location to use as a home base to then travel to other parts such as Saratoga Springs and Lake George. The Adirondack winery in Queensbury was excellent! This house has everything you need. It was beautiful to have coffee on the deck and drinks and s’mores at night by the fire !

WARNING

Owner avoided my concerns and did not take care of issues. Stayed 7/1/2023 to 7/15/23. Property is in poor condition. Side door screen locked and unable to open. Back door sliders no screen. Safety concerns. Plumbing: sink in Master Bathroom and toilet not functional. Filthy. Mattresses no covers and very flat and worn. Towels. One per person. Dish towels one. Pillows, one pillow per person. Master bedroom has pile of dirty pillows on closet floor. The Hudson River view is relaxing. Backyard full of ant hills. Outdoor amenities are lacking.

Sister's weekend

We arrived shortly after check-in time at 3, the house had not been cleaned from previous renters. I contacted the owner and he acted quickly to rectify the matter. Once that was complete, the stay was amazing. House is very well stocked. Very welcoming. Quiet neighborhood. Easy acces to nearby attractions.

We had a wonderful stay here. House was clean and the property is beautiful! right on the water- fire pit for the evening, games to play, absolutely beautiful! Owners were very attentive and responded in a timely manner. would highly recommend

On the Hudson River!

Very nice home on a quiet street with a beautiful view of the water. Large living area. Nice size kitchen. Great place for a family or for a couple to just get away. Close to Lake Luzerne, Saratoga Springs, and Lake George.

City Getaway

Quiet Weekend

We enjoyed our weekend stay. Great spot to watch the river flow by. Convenient drive to Lake George, Lake Luzerne, and Corinth. Neighborhood was very quiet. Thanks.

Christmas on the river

House was very nice in a nice quiet community right on the river. The property owner was great and responded to emails very quickly. It is very rare that the pictures match the property but in this case they did. Everything was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Place is nicely located and was decently clean inside. Nice fire pit and several chairs. The kayaks are worn, paddles old and rack is rickety- the kayak fell off the upper bay onto my husband when we tried to load them back in place. Dock too is slap-dash & wobbly. The vinyl porches badly need to be power washed. Landscaping has gone to pot. Just a little too untended in general for $XXXX/wk.

Relaxing river getaway!

Staying on the river was new for us so we brought some ropes and floats to tie to the dock which allowed us to float and relax on the water. I would highly recommend this! If you bring kids I would encourage you to bring your own life jackets just in case! The property was clean and the kitchen was newly renovated. There are some great hikes within 15-20 minutes and a lot of other fun things to do/try, including some nearby sandy beaches. We had a great stay and the owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive!

Problems , problems, problems....

Day one was great! Day two became a nightmare! When an unexpected serious problem with the property arose, it became even worse when the owner was not responding to our phone calls or texts. We lost out on our vacation due to some family members having to leave because of the problem, and we lost a night and half a day due to having to be re-housed in a hotel due to the seriousness of the problem ( septic system backed up into the cellar and we had infants with us on vacation - not the healthiest environment). And then we started to notice the other deficiencies - dishwasher didn't work right, the microwave didn't work right, the back screen door was broken and left on the deck, one if the recliners was broken , there was no room for our trash since the barrels were overflowing from the last tenants, the housekeeping wasn't the best, the lawn wasn't mowed in awhile, and when we were leaving there was a critter trying to get into the house from the basement through the vent in living room ! We had a lot of conversations with vbro with this past week due to the septic problem and they tried their best to meet our needs, however , in the end we spent a lot of money on this vacation rental and looked forward to it for a year. We understand that it was an unforeseen incident (although I am curious when the last time he had the septic pumped before this incident) - but the owner was not very sympathetic with us WHEN we actually got to communicate with him. I strongly feel we should be compensated in some way and he could care less. Guarantee we will not be back!

Fun in the Adirondacks

Great quiet area to enjoy time between Saratoga and Lake George. The house was perfect size for our group of 7. We utilized the 2 kayaks that were there and loved the large fire pit for our nightly s’mores. Communication with owner was easy and would definitely rent this house again.
