Quiet, relaxing surroundings with big indoor spaces and a comfortable garden, makes our house the ideal for those who wishes to spend some days with natural beauty, the historic landscapes of the Castelli Romani, and with the possibility of reaching Rome in only 35-40 minutes by train.
Apart from the rooms, our guests dispose of two big living rooms - one of which contains two bed-settees, a shared bathroom with shower, a perfectly equipped and functional kitchen, a laundry, a big garden, indoor parching and independent entrance.
Rome is not far:
By car, you reach the end station of the metro line A (Anagnina) in only 20 min.
About 5 min. drive from our property you have two different train lines (Vellatri-Roma Termini and Albano- Roma Termini) with which it is possible to reach the center of Rome in only 30-45 min.
It includes TV and wireless internet.
Smoking is not allowed in the indoor area.

A quiet cottage to visit Roma

We had a great stay in this quiet and functional cottage south of Roma.The owners, Giuseppe and Michele, are extremely kind and made us feel very welcome.It was a great pleasure to come and stay in their home.

Quiet location in the suburbs

Our host Guiseppe and his wife were a genuinely lovely couple and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean, well equipped and overall a good place to stay, in easy reach of Rome centre and the surrounding area.

Giuseppe and Michela are the most lovely and welcoming hosts. Our apartment was spacious, very clean and tidy, and (being situated quite high above the plain) a cool relief from the heat of the city of Rome. We had everything we needed - including the use of a beautiful part of the house’s garden with a terrace where we were able to enjoy dinner, and good views towards the sea. Our hosts provide a comprehensive manual of recommendations and useful local information too. The district is well-geared for tourism, and the local centres of Albano, Ariccia (with its well-known “fraschette”), Nemi (famed for sweet strawberries) and Genzano di Roma are all within half a dozen kilometres of the house. Travel to Rome is easy by car or by train from Cecchina. And not forgetting Castel Gandolfo, with the Pontifical Palace overflowing the shores of Lake Albano. The lake has good beaches and scenic wooded hills above. A wonderful stay in every respect! Thank you again to our hosts!

Goede locatie

We hebben een mooie tijd gehad in ons appartement. De eigenaren hadden alles netjes verzorgd: er waren zelfs afwasblokjes, wasmiddel, shampoo en douchegel aanwezig. De eigenaar was zeer geïnteresseerd en kwam regelmatig vragen of alles naar wens was. Ook bracht hij ons verse tomaten uit z’n eigen moestuin. Heerlijk!!!

Alles, was man für einen gelungen Aufenthalt braucht!

Wir waren mit diesem Haus sehr zufrieden. Es bietet alles, was man sich für einen Ferienhaus-Aufenthalt mit der Familie wünscht. Auch Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine stehen zur Verfügung. Die Vermieter waren überaus freundlich und haben sich um alles gekümmert, haben z. B. Frischhaltefolie (neue Vokabel: pellicola!) und Zucker gebracht. Das Haus war sauber und Handtücher, Bettsachen usw. in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Die Kinder haben die Schaukel im Garten geliebt. Morgens konnten wir im schattigen Garten frühstücken. Wenn man ein Mietauto hat oder mit dem eigenen Fahrzeug anreist, ist dieses Ferienhaus eine ideale Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge ans Meer, nach Rom oder auch Castel Gandolfo. 5 von 5 Sterne und herzlichen Dank!

Vacances familliales en Italie

Belle grande Maison avec un grand terrain arboré. L'appartement du rdc est réservé aux locataires. 2 chambres, une pour les parents et 1 avec 3 lits pour les enfants. L'environnement est agréable tout comme la vue depuis le coin repas dans le jardin sous le très beau et imposant cèdre! Le stationnement dans la cour close est sécurisant. Si on devait émettre une petite remarque, juste quelques ustensiles en cuisine en plus seraient bienvenus..et surtout l'eau chaude de la douche quelques peu aléatoire ! Mais vraiment rien de bien grave .. L'emplacement de la maison est idéale notamment pour visiter Rome. Située à 5mn de la gare en voiture, les nombreux trains permettent de rejoindre le coeur de Rome en 40 mn pour un prix très modique (en revanche bon courage avec le réseau de bus romain !). Proche également des commerces et de nombreux restaurants typiques, tout comme de l'arrière pays (très beaux lacs.. même si l'accès aux plages du lac est à proscrire le we vu la foule!). Nous avons même passé une journée à Naples/Pompéi et le Vésuve à 2H15 en voiture Hôtes vraiment très accueillants, sympathique et attentionnés. Merci pour l'accueil et les conseils pour profiter au mieux de notre séjour

Une arrivée anticipée sans problème pour 2 nuits, début de visite de Rome, nous avons opté pour garer la voiture à la station métro Agnanina (ligne À). Le parking est gratuit. Livret d’accueil très bien documenté. L’appartement en rdc avec un espace privé sécurisé pour la voiture et très calme. Nos hôtes étaient charmants. La ville offre également des visites et il y a un lac magnifique. Il y a un grand super marché pas loin. Si vous venez en voiture, le code de la route et l’Italien sont fâchés, c’est plutôt déconcertant pour un parisien ( c’est dire) LOL.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, für Familien sehr zu empfehlen

Die Wohnung und die Lage der Wohnung ist wunderschön. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht, selbst Ende Oktober konnten wir noch morgens draußen frühstücken. Die Kinder haben die Schaukel und das Dreirad sehr oft genutzt. Bäckerei und ein kleiner Laden sind innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Bahnhof für den Zug nach Rom ist mit dem Auto nur 5 Minuten weit weg. Der Zug ist sehr günstig und fährt ca. 40 Minuten bis nach Rom Termini. Und auch zum Strand fährt man von der Ferienwohnung ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto. Also eine sehr tolle Lage. Wenn wir nochmal in der Region Urlaub machen, dann gerne wieder in dieser Wohnung. Wir können sie sehr empfehlen.

All in all we really liked this appartment.

We really liked the house. Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, everything was as described on their website. No problems with the gas heater either. There were proper matrasses, special guidebooks about Rome, various maps of the city, a departure plan and many descriptions on how to get along in Arricia. The flat was just made very cosy and comfortable-modern at the same time. The kids enjoyed the big garden watching the sunset and sitting on a lovely swing. It took about 50 min – including a 20 min walk - to get to Rome by train. It may seem long but it really was absolutely agreeable because it was more relaxed than Rome and as near as possible. The communication with the house owners was really good, too. One of their sons even spoke German. They helpfully explained everything to us – from the shortest route to supermarket to a little facts about the surroundings. Really charming people indeed. All in all we really liked this appartment and would give 5 out of 5 stars to it!!

Urlaub in den Albaner Bergen.

Haben einen tollen Sommer in Rom und Umgebung verbracht die Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen für Ausflüge an den Albaner See, ans Meer oder für einen Besuch in der "Ewige Stadt". Aber auch für Radtouren und Wandern ist die tolle gegend um den See geeignet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und in jeder hinsicht Hilfbereit aber nie aufdringlich. Ein plus ist die eigene Waschmaschine und saubere Handtücher und Bettzeug war auch immer vorhanden. Kulinarisch sowie Historisch ist auch Ariccia sehenswert aber zum shoppen oder Eis und Espresso sollte man nach Albano und Genzano fahren. Wenn man überhaupt ein Haar in der Suppe sucht dann könnte vielleicht das Sofa bequemer sein. Viel Spass im Urlaub.

Séjour en famille très agréable

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille dans cette maison confortable et spacieuse. Le jardin est très grand et idéal pour des enfants. La situation géographique de la maison est parfaite pour des loisirs variés : baignade à la mer ou au lac, visite de petits villages ou visite de Rome (très facile d'accès en train et peu coûteux). De plus les propriétaires sont charmants et leur accueil très chaleureux. (merci aussi à leur fille pour sa gentillesse). Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Comfortable house and lovely owners

Clean and very comfortable house, lovely and very kind family. We'd go again tomorrow if we could. It was great to go back home to a quiet and peaceful place after a hectic day in Rome! Casa pulita e comodissima, famiglia gentilissima... ci torneremmo subito domani. Bellissimo tornare a casa e stare in tranquillità dopo una giornata frenetica nel caos della capitale!

A wonderful stay in Ariccia!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner, Guiseppe was very welcoming, and the place was very clean and well furnished. The front yard was enjoyable to sit in the sun. I love to cook, and the kitchen was well furnished. We were suprised to find that Lake Albano and Castelgandolfo was very near, and the sea was a short drive away. We took several local trips, and the train station was very near for our trips to Rome. We were going to stay two nights in Rome as we had tickets to the Papal audience, and Guisppe insisted on taking us to the train station and picked us up in the evening two days later so that our car would not have to stay in the station parking lot overnight. When we left, they gave us a lovely assortment of local bakery items. Ariccia is well known for their Porketta, and there is a row of several restaurants by the large bridge where you can enjoy that speciality, and of course gelato! I would thoroughly recommend this place.

A very enjoyable staying

We stayed at Giuseppe and Michela's apartment during the month of March. By car, the place is very accessible to both Rome and the Castelli area. The apartment is clean, comfortable and warm. We 've spent a week in the nice spacious apartment not far from Rome. ?verything was wonderful. There was everything we need. There is enough space for children to play both inside and outside. Beds are very comfortable, large soft towels... We were very impressed with lemon and orange (or mandarin) trees near windows. Michela and Giuseppe are very nice and friendly.Thank you for the hospitality and delicious food to our late arrival. Special thanks to Paola and Ruslan for meeting us late at night and helping with our car

We thank our guests, because with their impressions, they help us to rediscover the small beauty of our house: in front of the window of the salon guests, there are a plant of lemon and a mandarin. Now, in November, they are full of yellow and orange fruits. Look out in the morning, and see them, provides energy for the day!
