Thank you for noting that the home was comfortable, in a great location, and that we responded promptly during your stay. We sincerely apologize that the home’s preparation did not meet our usual standards. Our regular cleaning team was unavailable before this stay due to a family emergency, and the backup cleaner’s work fell short of our expectations. We have addressed this internally, and that cleaner will not be assigned to the property again. When concerns were reported late on the first evening, we responded immediately and arranged for a cleaner to return the following day to address every reported item. The cooktop itself was operational; the reported concern involved the cleanliness of the downdraft vent area. The cigarette behind the sofa, floors, and towel rack were not reported to us during the stay. Had we known about them, we would have addressed them promptly as well. The breakfast was ordered early that morning as a surprise gesture, which is why it was not announced beforehand. However, we should have notified you as soon as it arrived, and we apologize for that communication oversight. We have strengthened our cleaning and pre-arrival inspection process to prevent a recurrence.
