We chose this cabin because it had everything we wanted for a long weekend getaway for our 31st anniversary. It was super clean, pamphlets to help plan our days and we loved the hot tub and Hocking hills winery. Very nice cabin, the only issue we encountered was a very uncomfortable bed.

Perfect setup for a couple. My wife and I enjoyed the features of the property to the fullest. Definitely recommend staying here. Just wish the weather was a little better.

Amazing cabin!! Plan on coming back to stay again. Very clean, close to trails, hot tub is a plus, and owner has excellent communication!

The cabin was very nice and cozy! Perfect for a couples getaway. Was very clean and well maintained. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking!

Location was good, the walkway down to hot tub was did not feel safe after dark, hot tub nice but we didnt feel safe very uneven. Cabin needs refresh, sofa uncomfortable, nothing welcoming on walls like pictures of nature/ parksAll the cabins we stayed in past people would write in the book. Very little written, felt like someone should do a walk through. I think a repaint freshen up new sofa clean windows in/out and ceiling fan, pictures of ash cave cave etc. Welcome to our cabin. Would make customers feel more welcoming .Thank you

Yes, we do agree a few things could use a refresh. We purchased the property not long ago and continue to make improvements as we are able. A refresh and a new couch and decor refresh are in the works. I'll also get some better lighting out to the hot tub I agree that is something that should be tackled first. Once we make said improvements it will justify a rate increase. While the cabin isn't perfect, the listing is pretty accurate to show the current condition and we feel it's priced at a great value. We really do appreciate the feedback. It was bit of a bummer to look back and see that there were no concerns raised during your stay. I would have appreciated the opportunity to make things right with you during your stay instead of finding out these things now when I thought everything was going great. We always want to be able to help make the stay good as it can be and would have wanted to make things right given the opportunity. Thanks again for staying with us we appreciate you coming out!

This is an attractive cabin that need’s some TLC and updates. The steps leading down to the cabin entrance are broken stones and small pebbles - very slippery and unsafe. The walkway to the hot tub also has broken stepping stones. There is no place to hang one’s clothes. There is not one comfortable chair in the cabin at all. The hot tub reeked of chlorine to the point we were coughing too badly to stay in it. The location is beautiful and the cabin has “good bones.” It definitely needs some repairs and updates.

Thanks very much for the feedback. I looked back and it seems we did address the questions you had about the hot tub. There wasn't any mention in our messages about the chlorine smell. If we had known about it we could have tried to help with that issue and I really apologize that it was an issue for you. I'll definitely make sure to think about those other things and how to improve them for future guests. We're always thinking about upgrades and improvements we can make when we are able. However, we always price our cabin for excellent value!

Communication with the host was non existent. I messaged 5 times prior and during the stay and did not receive a response. The listing says “best way to contact is through Vrbo messages” and that wasn’t the case. It was a nice property, however when I expressed concerns (like the automated message asked about) I was met with no response. The laundry hamper in the upstairs loft was covered in black mold. There’s a nail sticking out of the step that ripped my sock and cut my foot. The grill did not work without a self light with a lighter, and on doing that, there was so much buildup underneath from a grill never cleaned out, that it just caught fire and smoked. On the throw blanket provided there was two dirty bandaids stuck to the blanket. There’s a filtered water filter and it doesn’t work. While it has the potential to be a great stay, the no responses and things overlooked should be considered. We took photos of everything from our stay. Hopefully you guys fix this for the next guest.

The stay was amazing. The host(s) were very communicative and everything couldn't have gone any smoother. The hot tub was phenomenal after long days of hiking. Our first vacation together was EPIC and we would definitely love to come back. Wouldn't have changed a thing!
