Very large, private home. The patio and pool area is also very private from the golf course. Just be sure you plan ahead four meals and food preparation, because the closest store is probably 20 minutes away.

Amazing

This property and its location is spectacular. We stayed close to the house for the most part because my son couldn’t get enough of the pool. The area is quiet and the house is fantastic. Lots to do between pool, beaches, or venturing further into Charleston. We will definitely be back again.

Kiawah stay on Governor's Drive

Nice well built home needs some upgrades and general maintenance. Provided list to property owners for general repairs. Nice location about 15 minute bike ride to beach off Flyway drive. Great proximity for golfers that is central to all the island courses. Perfect for a small family with two extra bedrooms at the opposite end of the master.

A Perfect Trip!

Family vacation

Reviewer Comments: House was as advertised , clean ,in a good location and was big enough for our family of 7 even with 4 of them working from home while we were there . It backed onto the 7th hole of Osprey golf course and it was so nice sitting outside in the undercover porch even when it rained . A couple of things that need improving on is the outside patio furtniture was way past its best which was a shame because the furniture inside the house was of good condition . Although the kitchen had plenty of dinner plates and silverware it wasn’t very well stocked if you wanted to cook a family meal .

Clean & Excellent Beds!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Only disappointment was the outdoor loungers had no cushions as shown in photo...but do have the normal ones that get hard on the fanny. This was our first time to get a pool at Kiawah in 17 years......LOVED it!

Thank you for your feedback! We have spoken with the property manager who has now purchased new cushions based on your comments. The cushion pictured were fairly worn themselves and similarly had to be replaced since the home was last photographed. We hope that you enjoyed your stay!

Perfect Home for a Extended Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was a perfect place to spend a week with our 2 teenage girls and their grandparents. The layout is great and the home is spacious and comfortable. The location is also Terrific to walk or ride bicycles. The pool is also so nice to have. It is not heated but despite cool temps, we still enjoyed floating in it. The backyard gets great sun during day so even in cooler temps it felt warm laying outside. Would definitely recommend this home through Akers Ellis. Their customer service is the very best.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a beautiful house with huge rooms (and a ton of light switches!). Very clean and well-maintained. We loved the close proximity to the beach path. We had 2 maintenance issues: 1) we requested that the pool be heated (which is the main reason we booked the house) but we were notified on day of arrival that it wasn't working. Said they'd send someone out to look at it but no one ever came. Kids were very disappointed. 2) the air conditioner in part of the house wasn't working. Again, they said they'd send someone out immediately to look at it but no one ever came. Aside from that, great trip. Kiawah is one of our favorite places.

Didn't live up to other Akers Ellis Rentals

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented from Akers Ellis over the last five years and this is the first home that we were disappointed in. The home is in need of some tender loving care. It could really use great pressure washing and the cushions are needing to be replaced. The kitchen is lacking glasses and other housewares that we have always had in other homes. The ice maker was not working when we arrived for our week's stay, and Akers Ellis responded with a bag of ice within the hour. However, it was never fixed and we had to keep going to the store every day to purchase ice so we would have it for our coolers and to use for drinks. The toaster only worked on one side. The tv in the master would not work and the other bedrooms did not even have TVs. We know how Akers Ellis manages their properties and this home did not live up to what we are accustomed to seeing in their rental properties. I think the homeowner if they are going to continue to rent needs to do some updating and replenishing of supplies.

We used to rent via VRBO - but renting from Akers Ellis was cheaper - AND we get free bike rentals! I would highly recommend renting through them!! The only thing worth noting about this house - is the kitchen was NOT a stocked kitchen...bare bones for cooking - and because of COVID we ended up eating at the house. Also - no serving dishes. There were some in the cabinets with notes saying “Do not use these!” However, the house was so lovely - We would stay there again - and just know we have to bring items from home.

Comfortable right size home for our group.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house for our party with was 5 adults and 2 kids. One floor, no stairs great for kids. Two negatives - 1) the bike package company. VacKgear - not very consumer friendly. Almost impossible to get on the phone. Would not accommodate an early return. 2) Pool was not clean the entire wee, nor when we arrived - even though we paid $75 per day to have it heated.

Overall great place!

Beautiful house and a ton of room. The house did have several spider webs and the den tv was very difficult to use. We were really exited to see the tv speaker setup but it would never work when trying to use it. Only was able to change the channel two times throughout our stay! Would have been a perfect stay if it would not have been for the spider webs and tv.

We have been traveling to Kiawah for the past twelve summers and this was one of the best rental homes for our family of four. House was comfortable and clean, had a great layout and all the amenities. We especially loved the pool! Great location and quick bike ride to the beach. Akers Ellis is so easy to work with. The beach gear credit they provided was an extra bonus! We would rent this home again!

The pool was an added bonus for a small child and was well maintained. I young gentle came twice that week to make sure it was clean and ready. Look forward to renting this house again next year.
