This is the most beautiful rental property I have ever stayed in. It had everything we needed and our group loved being at the house just as much as exploring DC. The hosts were excellent with communication. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!

We had an amazing stay! Photos couldn’t capture the beautiful details of this home! The layout was so comfortable for a large group. The kitchen was fully equipped with state of the art supplies and appliances and anything you could need. Highlights including the stunning views of the bay from the home and thoughtful layout of the gorgeous patio, kayaking off the dock on a calm day and a night of s’mores around the fire pit. A true gem of a stay in beautiful Door County!

We've stayed in a ton of VRBO's and I have to say this one hits the top of the list. The home was perfect. The water activities, the stocked kitchen, the abundance of towels (beach and bath), the games, etc met exactly what we needed. Also the beds/linens were perfect. Watching the sunset every night from either inside, the comfortable outdoor furniture, the hammocks by the water or even on a paddleboard fit the needs of our large group.Ellen, the owner was incredibly responsive and kind. If you plan to stay in DC, you won't be disappointed with this home.

he Barndominium was exactly what we needed! For a group of 10 people we were never crowded, and we spent a lot of time around the firepit, although we did need to use some of the wood we brought. The house was really close to the waterfront, which we really enjoyed. This place had so many extras and things for us to do there. We would definitely come back!

The stay was great for our family. Great space full of amenities. We went during a heat wave and the small air conditioner for the home couldn’t keep up with the heat and each bedroom was 80 degrees and only 2 floor fans available. It we made it work and piled the kids into the living room for the hot nights. While we were there the lawn mowing service came and the septic worker came during morning coffee to empty the tank. We are an easy going family so it didn’t bother us but others might have a problem with services showing up during their stay. It was a beautiful, memorable and amazing time at the home and many memories were made.

Unfortunately the septic service is required as needed and they come as they’re scheduled/called; my apologies for the morning inconvenience. What an amazing property. We were a group of women celebrating long time friendships together and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for our celebration. First of all the home exceeds expectations and really has to be experienced to be believed.The layout is functional including a well equipped kitchen and butler’s pantry, laundry room, a number of cozy gathering spaces, large and spaces bedrooms and bathrooms plus a game room in the garage. The outdoor area is spectacular with a very large patio with multiple seating areas, an outdoor fireplace and a fire pit with chairs for your bonfires. The view is the crowning touch with mesmerizing sunsets and a dark sky for star gazing. The aesthetics of the home and the art and special touches make it such a pleasing environment. We all gathered often around the large island which is perfect for a large group or just two or three. One other touch we truly enjoyed was the array of luxurious toiletries available throughout the house. The welcome wine basket including suggestions for Door County activities was an added touch . The property is very quiet and secluded but not so far as to feel isolating. In short, a perfect place for a gathering of friends and family.But perhaps what made this property stand out the most was the responsiveness and kindness of the hosts. I have stayed in multiple rental properties in various parts of the world and I think this was the best service and support I have ever experienced.

Such a beautiful house for a bachelorette party weekend! The kitchen had everything we needed. The whole house had just a clean vibe. We loved all the decor and there was even fall/pumpkin decor in the house. Such a nice touch! The view from the windows and back patio were great. We were Able to see the sunset right over the water. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Best house in Door County

Beautiful house, host thought of everything. We loved it! The host had a garage full of water toys, games, floats, paddleboards and kayaks. Everything was brand new. House was awesome!

Family Memories

We recently stayed at the Knick with our extended family. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked. We enjoyed the large lakefront backyard and the kayaks and paddle boards. There is so much to do in the area such as shopping, wine tasting, beaches, golf, and restaurants. The hostess was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

A fantastic place for our family reunion! This house has everything a family could need and provided things we didn't even know we needed. It's a great location on the bay (10 minutes from Egg Harbor) with beautiful sunset views.The kids (and adults) loved the paddleboards and kayaks, and the best part was all the gathering and eating spaces, indoors and out. Beds and bunks were all comfortable. So many nice touches to this home and the hosts were very responsive to our questions. Can't recommend it high enough!

Perfect Getaway!

Having a larger family this property was absolutely perfect for us. The provided amenities inside and out fit our family dynamic to a T! We enjoyed all the water craft provided as well as the fire pit for late night relaxation and Smores. The scenic property provided beautiful backdrops for family photos as well. What a joy it was to sit back and relax while our kids fixed supper in the open concept kitchen and utilized the on-site grill to make smash burgers. Having experienced such a blessed weekend we are already discussing the possibility for a stay next year! Highly recommend Door County Knick!

Weekend of celebrating my sister

This property is an absolute 10/10. We stayed here to celebrate my sister on getting her doctorate and to celebrate before she gets married. We had the best time! This location is perfect because it’s on the water and it’s close to a lot of the wineries. Not only was the house a 10/10 but so was the communication from the property managers. They were so thoughtful and attentive. They even gave my sister a nice gift basket. Everything we needed to know about the house, check in and out, and about the area was provided in a booklet. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

WOW! Our Family had a great week. The hosts have thought of everything you need. They literally overdue what is expected. We travel with a large group of 12-14 every summer to different locations across the U.S. This rental by far had the most amenities and conveniences that you don’t get at most rentals. From firewood, to extra propane tanks, 3 different kinds of coffee pots! The Kitchen was amazing! Several cupboards stocked with spices, foil and every utensil you could ever need! Dishes pots and pans. They even had the corn on the cob skewers! There was ample space for people to gather for dinner or games or if they wanted some quiet time to read a book, plenty of little nooks to hide! The outdoor patio was our favorite locale, I bet you could seat 40 people! There are comfy chairs and 2 hammocks that our Grandaughters lived in for the week. No need to rent any water gear, this place had 5 Kayaks, 3 paddle boards, and several life jackets. Ping Pong and pool table in the garage kept them busy, so much to do without having to leave the property. They also had several games, and arts and crafts. I could go on and on about the “extra” touches that came with this rental, Most places provide a “starter” supply of TP, paper towel, soap,etc…. Never have we been supplied for the entire stay. It made our stay so much more enjoyable! Plenty of everything, toiletries, hand soaps scents and oils. They have thought of everything. Hosts were just awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful Stay —Wonderful for a Large Family

Had a beautiful week in Door County staying in this property. We had a large family with four small children. The home was very comfortable with many amenities. There were toys and games available along with high chairs and booster seats. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and bath products available. The kitchen was large and well equipped. There were many places to sit and relax inside. The porch had lots of seating options and there were two outdoor fireplaces as well. The owner was very responsive to any needs and checked in frequently to ensure things were going well. Door County has lots to offer. We enjoyed parks, hiking farmer’s markets and good restaurants. This was one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in and I would highly recommend it. I would definitely stay here in the future.

Great location for large groups and kids

Our extended family of 8 adults and 5 kids stayed last weekend. The house has a great layout and lots of different spaces where we could spread out. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, spacious pantry, extra beverage fridge in the garage, and useful "drop zone" in the entryway to keep everything organized. And large dining tables (inside and out) where all if us could sit together. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property to make it as easy as possible for us.It rained for most of the weekend, and there were plenty of fun activities and games at the house for kids and adults to keep us busy and off our screens (Pac-Man, Legos, and art supplies were the biggest hits). We enjoyed the huge patio and fire, the hammocks by the lake, and the kayaks when the weather cooperated - I wish we had the opportunity to use the stand-up paddleboards! and some of the other outdoor games.The hosts were great communicators throughout the process.

This home exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The lake views were incredible, and I especially loved spending quiet mornings reading while looking out at the water.The bunk room was a huge hit with our kids and their cousins and quickly became one of their favorite parts of the trip.. Between the beautiful house, the peaceful setting, and all the family time we enjoyed together, this was one of those vacations we'll be talking about for years.
