We had a very peaceful stay at this wonderful property. Right as we arrived during the sunset we felt the stress melt away. It was soothing to listen to the lake as you are a couple feet away from the shore. Amazing star gazing and a great spot for astro photography. Dogs loved it and we had a memorable time here. Thanks for having us!

We had a great time staying here. The home is spacious and well stocked. We had a great view of the stars at night-even better than a dark sky park! The lake access was great and the location is very peaceful. The host is also very responsive.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This property was even better than we had hoped for! It was the perfect blend of remoteness and privacy with all the modern amenities to be comfortable. The view was stunning and it felt like staying at a friend's house. We can't wait to come back!

This place is such a gem! Not a single detail overlooked. The view from the deck is amazing. We’ve stayed at many rental homes and this one really impressed us. The hosts were gracious and communicative. Would not hesitate to book again.

We loved this VBRO!! Home is in a quiet, remote area, wonderful views, and calming sound of the waves. We saw 2 eagles, 8deer and I don't know how many turkeys. The lighthouses at Presque Island we visible at night. House had everything we needed. Hosts were informative made home warm and inviting. Found a few Petoskey stones too.

Great secluded place on Lake Huron!

My family loved this place for our summer getaway. It was secluded and quiet, but just a short drive into town for groceries or dinners in Alpena. We also made a day trip up to Mackinaw Island. The house was fantastic, and we loved the views of the lake. We did plenty of snorkelling, swimming, along with catching minnows and crawfish! You can walk a long way out before it gets deep, so it was great for the kiddos. I loved just sitting outside and watching the lake. You could see the big ships go by way off in the distance. Anna was an excellent host. She was extremely responsive and helpful with any question we had. I would recommend her place to anyone who wants a quiet place to relax by Lake Huron.Thanks Anna!

WOW! Where do I begin? Our stay at this remote lakeside retreat was nothing short of exceptional. The location is truly special as it's secluded, peaceful, and ideally situated right on the shores of Lake Huron. We spent hours relaxing on the spacious deck, taking in the panoramic lakefront views and listening to the calming sound of the waves. The unique extended deck that stretches into the water was a highlight, offering an unforgettable spot for morning coffee. The home was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed for a comfortable and restful getaway. The hosts were fantastic. They were responsive, kind, and clearly committed to creating a memorable experience for their guests. We can’t wait to return!

Above and Beyond

Let me start by saying the hosts of this vacation HOME were absolutely amazing to work with, they are doing everything right, that so many other vacation property owners are doing wrong!! The HOME itself exceeded expectations!! The HOME is extremely well maintained. They have every amenity you could ask for, far more than what's listed in the description. The most surprising was how well equipped the kitchen was, every small appliance you can imagine. This property was a true HOME away from HOME!! The location was absolutely amazing!! It was the most peaceful, tranquil and serene place we have ever stayed!! We looked very forward to sitting on the dock/deck every evening and watching the loons, sea gulls and giant white swans come by, the deer come down to the lake to get a drink and listen to the waves lightly crash on the rocky shoreline. We are looking very forward to another stay at this amazing vacation HOME!!

We had a wonderful stay! The view was incredible! Everything was comfortable, it was the perfect home away from home. The location was exactly what we wanted and we hope to be back in the future.

This was a month in paradise…we didn’t want to leave!!! It is so quite and remote…we loved having coffee and cocktails on the deck…literally about 30’ from the beautiful lake…we walked the shore and collected rocks, watched the tankers passing on the horizon…and even got to track the sailors in the 102nd port Huron-Mackinac race…and, of course swam in the clear brusque lake!!! Was thinking we wouldn’t see the sunset on the “sunrise side”…but we had beautiful pink sunsets to the north, and got to see the unusual orange “buck moon “ rising at the end of the month…even arriving to swimmers cove was an adventure winding thru gravel roads and little Harry’s hunt club road until you pull up to the lake…The house was clean and very comfortable…and we appreciated that it was dog friendly…with tie out both in the front and back…Felix loved laying in the sun on the deck…Anna was a great host, responding to any questions we had promptly, and was very helpful find golf courses, restaurants, etc…I would highly recommend this private gem…and hope to come back again…and again!!!

This was a truly tranquil retreat. Maybe we were lucky with our timing, but we only saw 2 other people while were were at this property. It was great - the dog had no one to bark at LOL. The house is truly well-stocked. Sand and stones made for an excellent waterside spot. The home was well decorated, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Anna was responsive and friendly, but not snoopy. Loved our stay.

A lovely, comfortable home. Perfect for relaxing. We slept well which is something I hardly ever do on vacation. Kids and dog all had a good time playing in the water. And the fossil hunting on this beach was better than any other local beach we visited. Thanks for sharing your home, Anna!
