A private villa. Rent the largest home and largest pool on Lamu Island, Kenya. Escape to a luxurious stunning private estate villa surrounded by its own organic coconut and mango farm which supplies several of our local hotels. Agot Luxe House designed in 2008 is a 2 year home construction build completed in 2010. A team of 250 workers built this massive and serene estate. The land provides a quiet getaway and an unforgettable experience in nature while taking in gentle breezes from the nearby Indian Ocean, palm leaves on the property and clear overhead night skies with the brightest stars.

The entire private villa house rental is located on 11 acres of a 24 acre estate, 7 minutes away Lamu town center and Shela beaches. You will be greeted by our staff at the Manda Airport. Your luggage, your family and friends will be taken by motor boat to Lamu Island where you are met with our home jeep driver. You will be driven 7 minutes to your beautiful mansion and lush farm. On a side note: the jeep is yours to schedule during your visit to use as needed to bring you to Lamu Town, Shela, for a sunset dhow ride, fishing, water skiing, snorkeling, to Swahili eateries or a tour around the World Heritage Sites of Lamu Town.

Agot Luxe House is a 24/7 highly secured guarded and gated 11,000 sq ft home which is breathtaking and bountiful in nature. All the water in the home is supplied from fresh wells on the property and goes through the reverse osmosis machine for 100% delicious and healthy filtered water. The 11 acres are wonderful for nature walks and jogging around the property where you will discover gardens full of neem, date, tamarind, baobab, coconut, citrus, banana and mango trees. The estate boasts massive 3-bdrms with full baths ensuite. The master bedroom suite is a full loft size of 2500+ sq ft and has a private 2500 sq ft patio which overlooks the 24 acre farm. The master bedroom also has a small sitting room with a couch bed for sleeping, napping or lounging. 2 further bedrooms have a king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 large African style twin. Perfect for families or groups of friends. One of the sitting rooms can be converted for sleeping 2 additional guests if you have a larger group, family or family. The couch in the family sitting room converts into a bed with sleeping for 2. Amenities such as WiFi, AC (some rooms), soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, ceiling fans in all rooms. You will enjoy a refreshing Olympic sized pool with a deep diving end and a shallow children's end, also have a very large pool cabana aka banda (a pool house where you can have lunch in the shade, read a book, and enough seating for friends and family). All bedrooms have mosquito nets & sleeps 7 comfortably but there is a sofa bed and sofas without nets (in sitting room, media room, see photos) available for extra visitors, up to 10. Currently we do not supply baby gates nor a crib for your little one. You may wish to consider bringing a travel crib.

At your home away from home, you can unwind and refresh yourself with coconut and mango juices straight from the farm, which we call the shamba. On the day of your arrival your first meals of that day, lunch and/or dinner is free! Breakfast is always free during your stay. Breakfast includes eggs, vegetable omelettes, toast, fresh fruits, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal and cereal options. Juice is included with breakfast and coffee and tea are always complimentary at breakfast and throughout the day. Thereafter, for additional fees, you can create a half or full board options of which you can discuss with your chef the lunch and/or dinner menus. You can choose from the freshest menu choices of chicken, beef, tuna, prawns, local catch, lobster, oysters, clams and fresh garden vegetables with local rice and potato dishes. Fish & chips, pastas, hamburgers and curries are traveler's favorites. Samosas and various Swahili dishes are also served for those wishing to dive into delicious traditional cuisine. You will be given welcome instructions prior to your booking and your host will help you arrange your food program option - half or full board. You will pay additional fees for your food menu choices during your stay. Your personal chef is included in your booking.

We are fully staffed: concierge, jeep driver, daily housekeeping, and private chef. We are eco-friendly. All beds and light cleaning is done daily. Clothes can be washed and ironed at no additional charge. Please request one to two days in advance for this service. We are a child friendly home. Small potty trained pets are welcome, approximately 20 lbs and under for your furry ones. With the exception of your arrival/welcome meal on us, your daily rate includes breakfast only. Additional fee half and full board menu options plus applicable taxes can be arranged by your host. Please be sure to provide a proper email address and contact number.

If there is something you require during your stay, our resident house manager will accommodate your every need when possible. Feel free to book daily masseuse visits at the home, sunset dhow rides, day trips to Kipingoni, Takwa Ruins, Manda Island and Matadoni (the mat making village) as well as shopping excursions, local eateries, trips along the coast (Mombasa, Kilifi, Malinda) and on site Masai jumpers. Our local staff speaks English and Swahili. Additional management in the Unites States will be accessible by email or WhatsApp should you have any needs beyond on site management.
