We’re so pleased that you had a great stay! We always aim to ensure that our guests have everything they might want to make the most of their time in this wonderful region.

How very sad. This was a peculiar group: We have been renting out our family house since 2007 and pride ourselves on going the extra distance for all of our visitors, especially when asked for special requests: If there is anything at all that we are asked to help with, we try to do what we can. Also, on the rare occasions that there are any problems, we ask our guests to tell us about them straight away so that we can put things right. For some people, unfortunately nothing is ever good enough: We should have seen the warning signs when even before they arrived they were already being extremely demanding, with not just a couple but a lot of extra requests that we tried to accommodate (Satin sheets, to arrange a private chef for the house, to book the best tables in restaurants for them, to arrange front row opera tickets and a limousine transport, how to order them a jacuzzi, & even more). It is a shame that despite all our efforts to help with as many of their requests and demands as we could, these clients were still not satisfied and would not accept our team’s many efforts to please. These guests also upset many other residents with their noisy shouting throughout the night on many occasions. The house was not dirty - in fact, so worried were our staff before this group came, that we did a double check on a deep clean. Windows, cupboards and the floor were so gleaming that you could almost see your face in them. But despite everything, and being as polite and continually deferential as possible, still this group behaved like royalty and as if everyone was below them was irrelevant. We could not do any more for this group, and they do not care that a harsh review hurts us deeply. How very sad that people are like they are. What a shame. Our guests happiness and enjoyment of their holiday is our No.1 priority! =============================== Comme c'est très triste. C'était un groupe particulier : Nous louons notre maison familiale depuis 2007 et sommes fiers d'aller plus loin pour tous nos visiteurs, en particulier lorsqu'on nous demande des demandes spéciales : s'il y a quoi que ce soit pour lequel on nous demande d'aider, nous essayons de faire quoi nous pouvons. De plus, dans les rares cas où il y a des problèmes, nous demandons à nos clients de nous en faire part immédiatement afin que nous puissions régler les choses. Pour certaines personnes, malheureusement, rien n'est jamais assez bien : nous aurions dû voir les signes avant-coureurs alors qu'avant même leur arrivée, ils étaient déjà extrêmement exigeants, avec non seulement quelques mais beaucoup de demandes supplémentaires que nous avons essayé de satisfaire (draps en satin, organiser un chef privé pour la maison, réserver pour eux les meilleures tables dans les restaurants, organiser des billets d'opéra au premier rang et un transport en limousine, comment leur commander un jacuzzi, et plus encore). Il est dommage que malgré tous nos efforts pour répondre au plus grand nombre de leurs demandes et demandes, ces clients ne soient toujours pas satisfaits et n'acceptent pas les nombreux efforts de notre équipe pour plaire. Ces invités ont également bouleversé de nombreux autres résidents avec leurs cris bruyants tout au long de la nuit à de nombreuses reprises. La maison n'était pas sale - en fait, notre personnel était si inquiet avant l'arrivée de ce groupe que nous avons effectué une double vérification d'un nettoyage en profondeur. Les fenêtres, les placards et le sol étaient si brillants qu'on pouvait presque y voir son visage. Mais malgré tout, et étant aussi poli et respectueux que possible, ce groupe se comportait toujours comme des rois et comme si tout le monde était en dessous d'eux n'était pas pertinent. Nous ne pouvions plus rien faire pour ce groupe, et ils se fichent qu'une critique sévère nous blesse profondément. Comme c'est triste que les gens soient comme ils sont. C'est dommage. Le bonheur de nos clients et le plaisir de leurs vacances est notre priorité n°1 !

Estimado Ivan y familia, nos alegra que su grupo de 8 personas haya disfrutado de su estancia en nuestra casa familiar. Por supuesto, podría haber optado por buscar en otro lugar y pagar menos por otra propiedad de menor calidad y con anfitriones menos atentos, pero obtiene lo que paga, ¡por eso es que muchas personas eligen reservar con nosotros! El disfrute de nuestros clientes es nuestra prioridad número 1 y deseamos dejarlo con ganas de nada, y entendemos por sus comentarios personales que pensaba que la casa tenía un estándar muy bueno para todas sus necesidades, e incluso estaba agradecido cuando se negó a permitirle pagar las roturas, por lo que realmente no entendemos su comentario y calificación, pero gracias.x Dear Ivan & family, we’re glad that your group of 8 enjoyed staying at our family house. Of course you could have chosen to look elsewhere and to pay less for another property of a lower quality and with less attentive hosts, but you do get what you pay for, which is probably why so many people choose to book with us! Our clients’ enjoyment is our number 1 priority and we wish to leave you wanting for nothing - and we understand from your personal feedback that you thought the house was of a very good standard for all of your needs, and you were even grateful when we refused to let you pay for the breakages, so we genuinely don’t understand your comment and rating, but thank you.x

We're glad this group of 8 enjoyed themselves, and pleased to hear that they truly weren't cramped, as they were 8 adults. (I've been there with my extended family before when there were 18 of us - a few too many for just our place, so we hired another friend's house, but at mealtimes we all ate together at this one & we also had a great time as a large group here, without problem!!). Yes, the nearby waterfront complex has some fantastic restaurants & bars in it & we're glad they found it easy to take advantage of the free 'shuttle bus' service for that 5minute journey to & from. We look forwards to welcoming this group of Ladies again soon!!

We're glad that the 'Cycling Man & his Clan' enjoyed themselves and we look forwards to welcoming this group back again this coming year! Yes, there are quite a few new & extensive leisure cycle & walking paths starting just a stone's throw away, right through the surrounding green bank of pine forests and connecting plenty of the seaside villages, beaches & beach bars & restaurants along the coast. The beach is just 500m from the front door. Sailing, (sunset) cruises, canoeing and even sailing lessons can all be easily arranged, as we did for this group. We're not surprised also that they found a good local bar - the locals are so so friendly and fun loving - we'll have to look up Antonio ourselves!!! The house is stocked with an information package about local sights of interest, such as Columbus' Port (as mentioned in this review), and we can gladly send you much of this electronically in advance when you book so that you can plan in advance what you'd like to do...
