Had a great stay! We were there for just a day for a wedding and they were able to accommodate a bit of an early check in for my pregnant wife to have a little extra time getting ready. Would highly recommend this property!

The room was exactly as pictured, very convenient and instructions were super clear. Although we didn’t take up the extra amenities with the weather and our itinerary, they were very cool to have on hand! Will definitely rebook if we’re ever in this neck of the woods again…literally haha. Thanks Trish!

Perfect get away spot for the weekend, truly an incredible quiet place for wanting to get away from crazy city life. Cannot wait to enjoy this place again in the very near future. Very accommodating off the walk in, Snacks and guides to hike areas were provided. Very clean area. Trish was willingly to let us check in earlier than we planned so we really appreciated that. Overall a very comfy weekend one to remember!!

The place was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Host Trisha was also very friendly, responsive and helpful with tips on local eateries. We went for an overnight ski trip to Hunter Mountain and its proximity to the ski area made everything so much more convenient. I would definitely stay there again. Five Stars easily!

The place overall wasn’t too bad. The towels and bed sheets smelled musty. The studio was cute. There was some miscommunication that felt intentional about when/how we could use the hot tub, which ended up with us being able to use it for only part of the trip. There was also someone staying directly above us (I think the housekeeper) with a dog, both of which we could hear throughout the night. We also paid extra to use the hot tub & have wood & a fire starter for us but there was no fire starter so we had to try to use what we could for a fire. I also had to pay part of my payment through Zelle & she charged me a processing fee… even though there’s absolutely no processing fee with Zelle. I just wasn’t interested in arguing over it at that point. It wasn’t an unpleasant experience but it wasn’t great, either.

I'm glad the studio felt cute and that “your stay was not unpleasant overall” …. -Regarding the towels and sheets, thank you for letting me know about the musty smell. Since no one in the past ever commented on such a thing, I did ask the Housekeeper. She mentioned that she just switched to a different dryer sheet as it was on sale! I did instruct her to return to our original brand with the organic natural scent! I appreciate you bringing that to my attention. -On the point of “intentional miscommunication” … My house rules are provided in “writing”, including details about the Hot Tub, Firewood, BBQ and associated fee. With 100’s of Guests who booked in the past, their rules were not different than yours, and nothing was “intended” to be unclear – for them or for yourself. - Regarding the housekeeper and her small dog …. her rare overnight stay was disclosed to you in advance! At that time, you did have the option to pass on your visit. Perhaps since she never surfaced or bothered you in anyother way, it was a non-issue. -About your claim of our missing “Fire Starter” …. City folk tend to interpret that as the Store-Bought bricks. We definitely stay away from those, as the chemicals used in its composition have been known to be toxic! My Caretakers Tee-Pee Fire-Lay is totally natural and organic! He starts with tinder in the center, maybe incorporating recycled cardboard, then leaning small dry twigs over it, while forming another leaning tower of slightly bigger sticks to make that cone-like Tee-Pee style. That is what I term as our Fire Starter. Perhaps you didn’t recognize the small gap he left to light the cone-shaped woodsy material? One must simply ignite the tinder at the bottom, let the flames climb into the kindling, and add wood slowly. Quite honestly, I never had a guest write me up and give such a low star rating for their inability to light a fire (smile) - Re: your reference of a Zelle fee and payment …. I’m curious why you would even bring this up, since the reality is that you skipped out w/o leaving the balance of cash you promised! If you simply would have placed it on the kitchen counter- as we had arranged - there would not even be a need for a Zelle transfer. I actually had to coordinate a trip with a 3rd party, to drive up the mountain, and to deliver it to my staff for payment! In that situation, a twenty-dollar fee would have been more reasonable for their time and gas… but rather than making you feel guilty for leaving w/o your promised payment - I termed it as a Zelle fee (which I actually thought existed… smile) OK, I think I addressed all your comments. Sorry if sounding defensive, but with hundreds of 5-star reviews, on this platform and others I guess I have to realize that no matter how hard you try, there’s always one … apple (smile) Take Care

If by "property manager" you mean VRBO, I them the one for concocting an upcharge.But if you mean the owner; she is fabulous, a true sweety.And the house is great for any number of people from 2 to a second studio as well as upper house with 5 bedrooms!!A lot of amenities in beautiful backyard (see the listing)This would make a great family reunion location!!!

My Fiancé and I wanted a short getaway to the mountains and this place was perfect for us! Trish was very prompt on ALL of the questions I had and she was absolutely lovely! It was very clean and lived up to the description and then some! We will definitely would stay here again!!

Super cozy for a quite couples getaway unfortunately i was there for work. But in my down time i was able to njoy the jacuzzi which was super relaxing . Definitely had to find out what and where the host got the pillows from the most comfortable I’ve ever laid on it does get a lil humid in the room but once i turned the fan on it was fine , if there was a screen door it would have been heaven listening to the sounds of nature in the background, and i guess the previous person that was there must have left a couple beers in the fridge kinda like a welcome i thought that was really cool so i paid it forward also the snacks set up on the walk in so i wanted the next person to feel the welcome i had so yes i replenished the snacks and the welcome beer overall great place will definitely come back with my wife and have a cozy place to stay

Haha .. You are a funny reviewer! I guess you didn't read the note I left on the refrigerator.. It states "Welcome, Cheers and Beers - Enjoy" I do try and leave adult beverages as well as snacks. They were not left by a previous guest !

The studio was as expected. It’s a converted garage so not many windows. There is a giant mirror that really helps make the space look bigger than it is. Everything was clean and well maintained. The carpet is new and nice and squishy. There was no one in the chalet (main part of the house) while I was there, so the host gave me permission to use the back patio amenities. If I wasn’t alone, I would have definitely taken advantage of the giant chess set. I had my coffee outside on the deck one morning though, which was lovely. I got a little spooked alone in the woods the first night and checked in regarding footsteps I wasn’t sure we’re supposed to be there since no one was at the chalet. The host was very kind and responsive and it was just her! Phew haha. She made sure to tell me she would be there the second night too so that I wouldn’t be scared. I really appreciated the communication.

Enjoyed our stay

Trish's place was perfect for us, had everything we needed for our short 3 night stay. The Murphy bed is super comfortable, firm mattress, queen sized, fabulous. And Trish was always available via text. Thank you Trish!

Weekend at Hunter Mountain

This studio is perfect for a weekend in Hunter. It is small, as advertised, but clean and functional and has all the necessities. The host was proactive in sending relevant information and highly responsive to my questions before and after we booked. The ski resort is a very short drive away. Downtown is lovely and Fellow cafe is not be be missed.

Great Space

We booked the studio, which was exactly as described. clean comfortable space. The extras bowl of snacks, bottled h2o just a little above and beyond makes all the difference. Trish is truly a super host will definitely book again thank you for having us.
