DRIVING:
The easiest way to get around Tulum is by car, as it allows you to explore the area with convenience and efficiency. Tulum offers a wealth of attractions, and having a vehicle will enable you to discover the most sights in the least amount of time. Chaac`s prime location near Avenida Kukulkan means you can easily navigate between the town center and beautiful beaches. While driving may not be the most eco-friendly option, it is certainly the most practical for those looking to maximize their experience.
BIKING:
For a more eco-friendly alternative, consider biking around Tulum. There are numerous bike rental shops available in the town center, making it easy to explore the area on two wheels. Riding from the residence to popular beach clubs typically takes about 10 minutes. However, be cautious as the roads become narrower as you approach the beach area, and always be mindful of traffic.
PARKING:
Street parking in front of the residence is free and safe, with ample spaces available throughout your stay. Free street parking is also common in other parts of Tulum. However, if you`re driving to the beach, be prepared for paid parking, which can range up to 400 MXN for a day, particularly in the Zona Hotelera.
WALKING:
From Chaac, you can reach the town center by taking an unpaved street, a pleasant walk that takes approximately 10 minutes. However, we do not recommend walking alone at night around Tulum for safety reasons. Exploring the town center on foot during the day is a great way to experience the local culture and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Tulum.
