Guests have access to the entire home and property with the exception of two owner's closets in the home and utility room in the garage. We love our cabin and ask that you treat our home as you would want your home treated. NO EVENTS. NO PARTIES. NO WEDDINGS. NO PETS. NO SMOKING. NO DRUGS. NO FIREARMS. NO FIREWORKS. EIGHT GUESTS MAX per booking. We do monitor this and have multiple outdoor security cameras, noise monitors, and smoking detectors. Outdoor quiet hours begin at 9pm. Please keep merrymaking indoors. This is a family friendly, quiet neighborhood. We collect a refundable security deposit through a secure processing platform at the time of booking to cover incidentals. This deposit is automatically refunded 1 week after checkout. Rental agreement must be signed prior to your stay. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL GUESTS IN YOUR PARTY BEING AWARE OF THE HOUSE RULES. 20 mph speed limit on the road leading up to the cabin is strictly enforced for safety purposes and out of respect to full-time residents on the road. The public access privately maintained gravel road leads to quiet, secluded property surrounded by State and National Forest.

Max 3 vehicles per booking. No parking on the road. There is ample parking available at the property, but may be tighter squeeze if a lot of snow. Please carpool and plan accordingly.

4WD/AWD absolutely required during winter months for travel up and down the gravel road due to snow and ice. If you don't have a 4WD/AWD vehicle with good tires, please consider renting one prior to leaving for your trip. You are staying in the mountains, and a small sedan is not going to cut it up here in the winter. Jefferson is a small town with spaced out properties. It may take some time for help to arrive if you get stuck, so best to be prepared. Adjust your travel plans accordingly with the weather. We also recommend you use winter shoe grippers/spikes when hiking along the road/trails as it can be slippery. Also, only the Left two-thirds of the road is plowed during the winter and the other side is maintained for snowmobile use. You will need to drive slow and cooperate with any oncoming traffic.

Please keep in mind that you have chosen to vacation in the mountains. Bugs are abundant here outside the winter months. Please do your best to keep windows/doors closed. Flies and wasps can be prevalent in the late Fall, which is the case at any cabin up here in the North country. We treat, spray and use special lights to control them.

Checkout is at 10am. Our cleaner comes by soon thereafter. She is a busy lady with young kids and takes care of several properties. Our home is her first priority. For any departure after 10am not arranged prior to your stay, we do charge an escalating late check-out fee starting at $125. Please refer to rental contact for further details. We do not allow same-day requests for late-checkout.
