The property is in need of a thorough cleaning. I realize it is late in the summer season, but if you are going to continue to charge top rates, then please do a more thorough cleaning between guest arrivals. Maybe the owners should consider deep cleaning the carpet on a monthly basis, as just one example. The bottoms of my feet were dirty and needed washed after I walking barefoot on the carpet, which is visibly dirty and stained in many places. The deck was in need or siding repairs and was filthy too. The seats on the deck furniture were stained with what looked like mildew, so I did not want to sit on them. I checked in late and the property manager refused to give me the electronic door code and gate codes via email. They said I had to go to their office to pick up physical keys to check in as if it was 1985 and electronic locks didn't exist. That was their policy and there were no exceptions, according to them. I had a late flight and was forced to stop by their office at 8pm to pick up a physical gate key even though the paperwork in their Lockbox had the electronic codes for the gate and front door, which could have easily been emailed to me after I gave them my Driver's license and credit card information for payment already. I then had to turn the unused gate key in at checkout even though I never needed one to begin with. The mgmt. company did every thing in their power to make check-in and check-out cumbersome for no reason other than their need to be obstinate.
