The Cottage at Roaring Run Farm is a relaxing two bedroom retreat nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The farm sits on 153 acres of rolling pastures between neighboring cattle farms that make up a 1,000 acres of contiguous farmland. The cottage features beautiful views of the Peaks of Otter Mountains among fields of grazing horses and donkeys. Sunrise and sunset are truly magical hours on Roaring Run Farm.
The space
The cottage sits off of a country road and down a long driveway lined with horse pastures and is located next to the main farmhouse. The driveway continues past the farmhouse and down to the horse barn complete with chicken coup and a retired milking barn remaining from when the farm was a working dairy farm.

The long and open gravel driveway is popular for evening strolls and taking in the scenes of nature. We frequently see turkeys, deer, bunnies and even a small bear crossing the driveway. Birdhouses that burst with life in the spring line the driveway, the indigo bunting is a farm favorite and a treat for even the most experienced birdwatcher. Additionally you will also see equestrians taking their horses out for trail rides during the day.

Living Room: Open floor plan that flows into kitchen, dining and deck with sliding glass doors. Leather couch and leather chair, flat screen TV, coffee table full of board games

Kitchen: stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer with ice maker, toaster oven, microwave, keurig & drip coffee appliances, pots & pans, silverware

Private Deck: Brand new outdoor private patio that features a dining table and umbrella with seating for four guests, a brand new Weber grill and four lightweight Adirondack chairs perfect for setting in your preferred location to watch the sunset around the brand new gas fire pit

Cottage: Sits next to the main farmhouse at Roaring Run Farm, 1/4 mile long driveway with plenty of parking for your outdoor toys

Checkout Instructions: start the dishwasher and turn the lights off, that's it!

Other things to note
The main farmhouse is next to the cottage and the owners have many dogs and cats that roam freely, they are all friendly and will largely keep to themselves. We do not allow un-neutered male dogs. All male dog guests must be neutered.

Pet Policy
$70 per dog per 2-3 day stay, small and short haired breeds only.

If you wish to have your dogs on the furniture or on the beds please bring your own sheets to cover the furniture. If you can keep your dogs from being on the furniture and in the bed you do not need to take this precaution.
