We really enjoyed our stay at Willow’s Hideaway! The cabin is spacious with three good bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to cook at home. We especially enjoyed all the games: pool, ping pong and numerous board games. Location is great, 10 minutes to the lake and very near nice hiking/biking trails. Highly recommend this property!

Willow's Hideaway is a great house with everything that you'll need to enjoy a vacation with your family and pet. The neighborhood is quiet and located near a couple of local golf courses, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Kiva Beach is perfect for your water loving dog and only about 15 minutes away. The house itself is very comfortable and accommodating. Looking forward to booking this again.

We had a great time with our adult children. The home was clean and perfect for us. We enjoyed the video arcade machine and the pool table. I am sure we will stay again since we love Lake Tahoe.

The property was just as the listing description! Very clean, it was warm and welcoming when we entered, plenty of space for everyone! Good location, 5-10 min from groceries and main roads. Peaceful getaway, good option for families.

This is a great place to stay!

This was an amazing experience! The property was clean and absolutely beautiful. The beds were comfy and there were extra blankets for cold nights. The backyard was fully fenced, which was nice for our dogs. All of the expectations for guests were clearly stated and reasonable. My family would definitely stay here again.

Good location! Clean place!

Inside of house is as shown on the website. Keeping in mind that wide lens photos make rooms a lot bigger; the place is still big enough to feel comfortable with enough space to move around. The house was very clean when we visited; and very cozy.

Thank you for this review! This home is considered a smaller cabin that sleeps 8 so that is something to keep in mind if you are looking for a large home but we do feel there is plenty of room for everyone. Appreciate the feedback. Thank you!

The physical house was great. This listing should disclose the extra reservation process that the external mgmt company requires, external of VRBO. This listing is managed by a 4th party company, that expects renters to upload personal information, photos of front & back Drivers License, and must upload a selfie video all to a 5th party website (Enso Connect, Canada company that provides AI chat service for house guests). This listing does not use VRBO to share the check-in information with the renter. In addition, you have to sign a contract with the 4th party company. None of this invasive process was disclosed on the listing. It made for hours of headaches on phone calls and stressful up until the morning of check-in.

Thank you for this feedback — I’m sorry the additional verification and contract requirements were not clearly disclosed and caused stress before check-in. Our external management partner uses Enso Connect for secure ID/check‑in and some reservations require that verification to protect the home and guests, but that should be communicated up front. I’ve shared your comments with the owner and operations team. We will update the Vrbo listing and pre‑booking/arrival messages to clearly disclose any third‑party verification or contracts so future guests know what to expect. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Birthday weekend

We had a great stay in Tahoe! My kids loved the arcade and easy access to play in the ❄️ snow in the front and back yards! The house was great! Plenty of room for all of our kids! This is a great place for large families! The pool table and ping pong was a hit with my teenagers. The heated bathroom floors were amazing ☺️ thank you

Comfy

We truly enjoyed the stay. Pool/ping pong table was a major hit. Kitchen was loaded for all we needed. Closeness to shopping, ski resorts made it a great stay. We will come back. Note to owner: Previous visitor left a bunch of filled poop bags by the MBR entrance, hopefully the cleaning crew will take care of that as the cleaning fees are high. But still a five star place, the description is bang on. Thank you!

Perfect birthday weekend!

Willow’s Hideaway was a fantastic choice for our family! It’s hard to find a NICE rental for 5-6 adults and our dog. This was perfect. The house was comfortable and clean and had room to gather for games and conversation! The beds were comfortable and everyone had room. It’s also close to Sierra at Tahoe ski resort which was convenient for our trip. We also enjoyed going into South Lake for some dinner and drinks. The fenced yard was so nice for our dog although he had to get used to the deep snow! We had one small plumbing incident and the management company responded quickly! We hope to return to this same location in the near future!!

This stay in this cabin at Tahoe was one of our favorites. This cabin was very well-equipped and we appreciated the enclosed backyard for our dogs; kids liked the billiard and game console. But first and foremost, the cabin was well-maintained and clean. Kitchen and bathrooms (towels and kitchen tools, etc. ) were very well kept which is very important to my every stay. Location was prime. The host was also responding immediately to our inquiries. I wouldn’t hesitate coming back to this place and I would highly recommend this cabin to friends and family. The only constructive criticisms I have is the check-in and check-out times. Check-in time at 4pm, in my opinion, is too late for our first day to enjoy the cabin’s yard since it gets dark pretty early in the winter time. Check-out time at 10am is also cutting our stay even shorter in the cabin. The dishwasher wasn’t functioning. The steps leading to the house and leading to the backyard were not adequately free of snow/ice, making it risky for a fall for our aged parents. Overall, this was a pleasant weekend stay. We loved the place and plan on coming back.

Mixed Bag

Absolutely charming house. Kitchen and baths upgraded and wonderful. Wood accent walls are awesome. Beds are very comfortable.Downsides: 1 not a fan the tandem driveway parking...especially in the snow, 2 stove has no visible exhaust fan, it may have a vent built in but we could not figure out how to operate it, 3 the wood stove had no grate which is essential for a wood burning fire and the instructions say to open the damper (duh) but this stove has two dampers one above and one below the firebox and no instructions as to which setting is open or closed, 4 the ominous warnings about damaging the kitchen table prompted us to not use it at all, 5 the living room is lighted by overhead spot lights which caused me to shield my eyes when watching tv, 6 After charging $50 per dog per night, we were warned that security cameras were watching us to make sure we picked up any dog poop (difficult at best in a foot of powder snow) 7 an electronic control device (never seen anything like it) have no instructions for use. More instructions in the house packet or VRBO letter would have been nice. VRBO, when asked on day 2, provided quick response with a very clear picture of the proper fireplace operation (why is this not in the information packet?) and delivered a suitable fireplace grate and a new toaster.

My family and I had a great stay. The heated bathroom floors were amazing. Open dining and living room felt spacious and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and having access to a gated backyard was perfect for the pups to stretch their legs. I loved the modern yet cozy feeling this place brought and would definitely stay again!

Nice property in good location

Nicely located. Bur property is darker and small than pictured. Only 2 outside parking spaces -- listing is confusing on this. Clean, great kitchen, nice bedrooms and remodeled clean bathrooms, but not very large house. Improved, brighter lighting would make a huge difference.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our Willow's Hideaway property, Veronique. Our listing specifically notes "There is parking for 2 cars on the driveway and in front of the house," meaning two total vehicles on the property. We apologize you found the wording confusing. We appreciate your feedback and will relay this suggestion on lighting back to our local operations team for review.

Great experience!

Love the remodel. Great use of space, especially the dining room table/ pool table/ ping pong table combo. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Front porch with chairs were relaxing after hiking each morning. I would recommend to anyone for a week long vacation. Thank you, Paul (from the Sunshine state...FL)
